White on White Kaliedoscope

Hi Crafty Friends,

It’s challenge time with the “Crazies” over on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog. As challenge hostess for the month, I continue to issue the challenges.

According to the Days of the Year web site, today is White Day. Apparently in countries where Valentine's Day is observed by women giving chocolate to those they love. White Day is the day they get the return on that investment. So for our challenge this week, let's create a white on white card.

I was hoping that a die I ordered that I thought would be perfect for this challenge would arrive in time for me to create a card, however as it didn't I had to go with plan b.

As you can see I created a Slimline card using the Slimline Stitched Card Panels and Windows die set. I used white card in various styles for the layers and base ... pearlescent, corrugated and plain.

For the square (diamond) panels, I used Spellbinders new Kaleidoscope Tile die set. I die cut the top panel from white glitter cardstock and the other two panels from white pearlescent cardstock. For something different, I positioned them on my card so they would be diamond shaped rather than square. I added a pearl to the tiles at both ends.

For the sentiment I used Pink Fresh Studios Phrase Builder - You die set. I used white glitter cardstock and pearlescent cardstock for the layers.

For the inside of the card,  I added the sentiment "are awesome" which are more dies included in the Pink Fresh Studio Phrase Builder die set.

Don't forget to check out the rest of the “Crazies” cards over on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog and also their individual blogs for more details.
