Party Animals Double Flip Frame Pop-up

Hi Crafty Friends,

Today I am sharing an interactive Slimline card I created recently.

For my card today I am using the new Karen Burniston's Flip Frame Pop-up die set which started shipping today (3rd August CDT time).

Here is a quick video to see my card in action.

For my card today I decided to use the Flip Frame Pop-up using the pop-up die only instead of with the frame which comes with the set. As I created a Slimline card which is 4 inches x 8 1/2 inches I decided to created a double pop-up. I placed one of the pop-ups near the top of the card and one about midway.

To decorate my card I used MFT Stamps Picture Perfect Party Animal stamp set. I used two of the animal images included in the set for the pop-up panels and two others for to lie flat.

This card was hard to take photos of so you could see the full effect of the card, so I have taken a few at different angles so you can see everything on the card.

I added sentiments from the Picture Perfect Party Animals stamp set under the animals which coordinate with the sentiments on the left hand side of the card.

For the animals on the right hand side of the card I used the cake sentiment which is from an older MFT Stamp set called Delicious Birthday and under the elephant I used a sentiment from the Bitty Birthday Wishes stamp set.

After coloring the images which I did first, I couldn't fit papers to fit my card which included the colors used on the images. So I decided to create my own background. I used Mama Elephant's Quick Stripes die to cut seven different colors of cardstock. I then adhered the stripes to some photocopy paper in a rainbow order but the width of the stripes are random. I cut the panel down to fit in the centre of my card.

I added a black scallop border to either side of my striped panel using Karen Burniston's Border Blends - Argyle die set.

To decorate the front of my card, I added the two animals that had party blowers. I then used the sentiment which coordinated with both animals to the centre of the card.

Two flip frames in one card?! Wowzers! Thank you for the idea. I pre-ordered this die set, and was beginning to have regrets, but seeing how you and Karen A used it gives me more hope for the possibilities.
