This the Season to be Jolly

Hi everyone,

It's challenge time with my friends over on the CCEE Stampers challenge blog.  Our challenge hostess for the month, Maryann Einam continues to issue the challenges.

This is our last challenge for 2017, so everyone can enjoy spending time with family and friends over the Christmas Season. But we will be back in January for more challenges.

Let's keep things simple for our final challenge for the year. Use your favorite holiday stamps to create a card.

I am not sure whether any of these stamps are my "favorite" as such ... I have too many stamps I love including many of the new Christmas ones I purchased this year. I probably went a little crazy, so I am trying to use as many as I can before Christmas.

For my card today I wanted to use this cute Santa PopCard stamp set from Art Impressions/Hampton Arts, I got a couple of the bigger sets earlier in the year and when I had the opportunity to get this one at a reasonable price I jumped at it.

Normally you use the PopCard stamps on the inside of a card so they become a "pop up" card. I wanted to try something different this time around, so decided to create an accordion card that has the pop up piece on the last page of the accordion. I am more than happy with how it turned out.

Here is a short video showing my card in action.

I added snow to each page and sentiments to the middle and last pages of my accordion card.

On the front page of my accordion card which what you first see when the card is closed. I add the Hero Arts North Pole Sign. I also added 3 tiny reindeers playing around the sign, these are probably reindeers in training to help fly Santa's sleigh in the future.

Don't forget to check out the CCEE Stampers blog (goes live 12 AM EST) to see the rest of the creations the CCEE Stampers created this week. You can also see more details of their creations on their individual blogs:

Ir-elephant Without You

Hi crafty friends!

Today is my sister's birthday ... as she love elephants I normally make her an elephant themed card to give her. Earlier on in the year Art Impressions came out with their PopCard stamp/die sets one of which was an elephant, of course I knew immediately what I would be using for her card. I have had the set sitting on my desk for a number of months and can finally get to use it.

This one was a lot easier to put together than the first PopCard I made earlier in the year when I used the Panda PopCard set. Since then there have been a couple of videos which I was able to watch to learn the easiest way to create one of these.

I used the Lawn Fawn Flower Hillside Pop-Up Add-On to create the grassy area with flowers.

Here is a quick video to show my card in action.

Here is a side view of the inside of the card so you can see the layers used to create the elephant.

I kept the front of my card fairly simple seeing the focus is on the inside of the card. However I had to play with my new Go Press & Foil Machine and hot foil stamps and foil. All the birthday hot foil stamps I ordered are still on backorder so I had to make  do with this Celebrate sentiment. Love how shiny this is in real life as you will see if you watch the video above.

Beary Best POPCARD

Hi everyone,

Like many of you I was interested in seeing the new products that were being released at the Creativation Trade Show in January. One of the things that caught my eye was the Art Impressions PopCard stamp and die sets. Being someone who loves creating cards that are interactive I had to order a couple.

This is my first attempt at creating a PopCard and I used the Panda PopCard stamp/die set. As you can see I decided to turn my "Panda" into a "Bear" which was easy to do.

I am not 100% happy with my finished card, but it will do for my first attempt. While there are instructions on the back of the packaging, I didn't find them as easy to follow as they could be. But I now know what to do, so hopefully my next one will be easier.

Here is a close up of the bear. Behind the bear I attached some balloons which were also included in the stamp/die set. I added strings from the Pop It Ups Rectangle Pull Card to each of the balloons.

I used one of the Stitched Fishtails for my sentiment and also added the "Celebrate" sentiment to the bottom right hand corner of my card.

I turned the front of my card into a window shaker, I used a pocket for this probably acetate would have been a little clearer.

I used the Happy Birthday from the General Sentiments Clear Stamp set which I stamped onto the banner from the Pop It Ups Merry Christmas Pop Up Card die set.
