You're On The Nice List

Hi everyone,

It's challenge time with my friends over on the CCEE Stampers challenge blog. Being a brand new month it is time to introduce our new hostess which is Lois.

Lois is starting off the month with a Technique Challenge. A simple technique she loves is  the Bokeh Background. You can find a tutorial on this technique in the Resources section of Splitcoaststampers

For my card today I created a Christmas card using the Anita Frames Pop Up die set designed by Karen Burniston for Elizabeth Craft Designs.

I used the Bokeh Technique for the background on the side panels, decorative trims in the centre and also on the front. For my background I colored white card using Candied Apples; Festive Berries and Pine Needles Distress Paint. Once this was dry I then used various solid circle stamps I had to apply white inks over the background.

To decorate my card I used a stamp set from MFT Stamps which I cut out using my Scan N Cut. I also used the Snow/Dirt die from the Outdoor Edges die set with Clear Double Sided Adhesive Tape and Warm Diamond Silk Microfine Glitter.

For the front of my card I cut a square from the Bokeh Background piece using the Fitted Squares die set and the Scallop layer was cut using the Dotted Scallop Squares. I added a few more images from the stamp set I used on the inside and added a sentiment.

Don't forget to check out the CCEE Stampers blog (goes live 12 AM EST) to see the rest of the creations the CCEE Stampers created this week. You can also see more details of their creations on their individual blogs:

What a fun card! Love the way you did the background with the "snowflakes" in the circles.
