Coffee and You

Hi Crafty Friends,

It's challenge time with my friends over on the CCEE Stampers challenge blog. Being a brand new month it is time to introduce our new challenge hostess, which is me!

Apparently tomorrow (8th November) is Cappuccino day, so our challenge this week is to create a coffee themed card.

The Fall/Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop is also this week 1st - 8th November, so I am also using my card for that too.

For my card today I have used Karen Burniston's new Gift Pivot Panels die set which is being released on Monday 11th. Instead of adding the gifts that come with the die set, I die cut the word "COFFEE" and added each letter to a section of the die where the gifts would normally go.

To decorate my card I used the cute characters from MFT Stamps Sweater Weather - In The Woods stamp and coordinating die set.

To ground the characters, I added the snow/dirt border from the Nature Edges die set which I colored using green inks.

I partially stamped the sentiment, omitting the 'Coffee" from the sentiment seeing it was already in the centre. I added the first part of the sentiment to the top left hand side of the card.

Then I added the last part of the sentiment under the "Coffee"

I also decorated the Gift Pivot Panel using coffee beans and coffee cups from the Sweater Weather stamp set.

I kept the front of the card fairly simple as the focus is on the inside. I added a few more of the stamps from the stamp sets used on the inside of the card which I layered to my card using the Crosshatch - Ovals die set.

Don't forget to check out the CCEE Stampers blog (goes live 12 AM EST) to see the rest of the creations the CCEE Stampers created this week. You can also see more details of their creations on their individual blogs:
