Sending You Loads of ...

Hi Crafty Friends,

It's challenge time with my friends over on the CCEE Stampers challenge blog.  Being a brand new month, it's time to introduce our new challenge hostess which is Manal Habib.

Thank a Mailman DayWho doesn’t love happy mail? I am sure every one of us is doing a happy dance when we have something land at our doorsteps. However, this happiness would not have been possible without the mail men who spend a lot of time on the roads, roaming and locating people with their loaded trucks. So, why not thank them for delivering our packages? Create a project which showcases a mailman/postman, a letter box, letter, mail truck or envelopes.

Over the past few months I have purchased a few stamp/die sets that work with today's challenge theme, so I pulled them all out to use on todays card.

First up as you can see I created a Slimline card, I had to see if I could use the pickup on a slimline card. It's a pretty big stamp, but it works if you trim some off the side. So that is what I did. I used two Slimline die sets from Trinity Stamps to die cut the slimline panels and grass.

I received one of the Honey Bee Stamps Pickup stamp sets for Christmas from a friend, and Santa delivered the other along with one of the coordinating die sets. And I just ordered the Add-on set which makes it all work perfectly for the challenge.

I also purchased Lawn Fawn's Special Delivery stamp/die set just before Christmas ... there is an owl included in the set so of course I have to get it!

The orange/yellow sky was created using one of the papers from Honey Bee Stamps Love Letters paper pad.

For the inside of the card I created a pop up card using Karen Burniston's Katherine Label Pop-up die set for the pop up portion of the card.

As I had the other portion of the pickup left over from creating the front of the card, I used that to decorate the inside of the card.

I added the sentiment to the card using Honey Bee Stamps Pickup Lines stamp set.

Don't forget to check out the CCEE Stampers blog (goes live 12 AM EST) to see the rest of the creations the CCEE Stampers created this week. You can also see more details of their creations on their individual blogs:

Your little mail-owl is adorable! And that truck is so much fun -- I just made a birthday card for my brother using it.
