As I love making Slimline cards, I couldn't wait to play with the new Little Labels Pop-up die set which has been designed to fit into a Slimline card. This die will fit into a card that is 3 1/2 inches wide x 6 1/2 inches, to create my slimline card I made my card 3 1/2 inches x 8 1/2 inches. 

I used a white top folding slimline card for my card base and then added green papers to the base of my card (grass) and blue to the back panel (sky). I also used the hill border from the Long Nature Edges die set to add a grass hill along the front base of my card.

I die cut the pop-up die from the  Little Labels Pop-up die set from blue cardstock and adhered it to the inside of the card. I used one of the new borders from the Border Blends - Trims die set, die cutting it from grey cardstock ... the rocks around the pond.

To decorate the card I used the frog, lily pad, cattails and fly from the Bayou Animals die set. I added a frog to the two outer labels and added a stamped sentiment to the centre label. 

I used the "Hugs" sentiment from the Word Set 14 - Hugs die set to add the die cut sentiment to the base of my card.

For the front of the card, I used the blue and green papers I used on the inside of my card to create my sky and grass. The grass was die cut using the hill border die included in the Long Nature Edges die set.

I die cut two frogs, four cattails and two flies and adhered them to my card. 

I used two of the labels from the Crosshatch - Labels die set to add the label for my sentiment. I added the "Hoppy Birthday sentiment) to the label.

Today I am sharing a Slimline card I created recently. 

I used LDRS Designs Slim Line Scallop Die set to die cut the background panel of my card. After die cutting from blue cardstock, I added clouds to the rectangle panel using Pinkfresh Studio's Cloud Border stencil and white pigment ink.

To create the pond I used one of the border dies from Lawn Fawn's Slimline Simple Hillside Borders die set. I used Distress Oxide inks in Tumbled Glass, Broken China,  Salty Ocean & Mermaid Lagoon to add color to the pond. Along the top  edge of the pond, I added cattails using Lawn Fawn's Cattails Border die set. Along the bottom edge of the pond I used the grass border from Trinity Stamps The Great Outdoors Borders & Builder die set.

I added the frogs, lilies etc to the pond which are from Waffle Fower's Toadally stamp set.

For the inside of the card I used many of the same elements I used on the front of the card.

I added the sentiments which are from DRS Designs and MFT Stamps stamp sets.

Apparently today is Frog Jumping Day according to the Days of the Year web site. As I received a frog stamp set for my birthday back in March which I hadn't gotten around to playing with as yet I figured this was as good an excuse as any to pull it out and play!

I have created a Twist Panel Pop-up card using Karen Burniston's Twist Panel Pop-up die set. To decorate my card I used the Waffle Flowers Toadally Clear stamp set. 

Rather than adding layers to the twist panel section of the card as I normally do, I just die cut this in white and sponged on some sky using the cloud die  from the Nature Edges die set and added blue cardstock for the pond the frogs are playing in.

I also used the same die to create a border for the top and bottom of the card.

I added an old frog themed birthday sentiment to the base of the card using a label from the Katherine Label Pop-up die set.

Here is a look at my card as it is closing, you can see how the 4 panel fold in the centre folds up and starts to turn to the side.

As the focus is on the inside of the card I kept the front of the card simple. I added a couple of fishtail flags onto the lower portion of the card and added a sentiment and the frog trio. I added a cloud border to the top of the card.

And finally a look at my card when it is closed. It may look a little thick, but it does flatten down a little more and will fit into an envelope easily.
