Sittin’ Here Thinking of You!

CCEE1413Let'sTalk-wm

Hi everyone,

It’s challenge time with my friends over on the CCEE Stampers challenge blog. Joanne is our challenge hostess for March brings us her final challenge for the month.

We are going to follow a recipe this week.
Flowers + Pearls + Heat Embossing + Dry Embossing + Person Image

This challenge was definitely a challenge with all those ingredients LOL, my card started out going to be a pop up card using a different image and then I changed my mind and created a pivot card instead and close the the finish of the card I also changed the image I was going to use. But I did finally get everything on my card, you can’t see it all from the front because some of it is on the inside Smile.

The card base was created using the Pop It Ups Heart Pivot Card die set designed by Karen Burniston’s for Elizabeth Crafts Designs. I used the Dry Emboss Alcohol Resist Technique on the heart using one of Elizabeth Craft Designs new Hearts Entwined Embossing folders, that covered both the dry embossing and the heat embossing! I used ECD Flower Set 2 to create the flower and added a pearl to the centre of the flower .. that’s 4 of the 5 ingredients done!

CCEE1413Let'sTalk3-wm

On the inside of my card I added two people … this is a stamp from Art Impressions and normally the girls are back to back, but I cut them apart and added them to both sides of my card. I added a couple of chat bubbles to the heart areas which shows the messages they are typing to each other.

CCEE1413Let'sTalk1-wm

Here is a close up of the left side of my card. The edges of both sides of the card were shaped using one of the edge dies from the Agatha Edges Die set and then I added the flourish from this set.

And a close up of the right side of my card.

    Golfer Gift Bag

    MaryannBag-wm

    Hi everyone,

A few week’s ago it was my friend’s birthday, I made her a golf themed birthday card which you can see here. I also had a gift which I need to wrap up and seeing I purchased the Gift Bag Punch Board at the end of last year, I figured I should use that to make a gift bag to put her gift into.

The Gift Bag Punch Board can make three different sized gift bags … small, medium and large. The large was too small but I remembered I had seen a video a while back on how to make a larger gift bag, which you can view here. I am happy how it turned out.

    MaryannBag2-wm

Here is another view of my gift back … I added a flap to my bag so it could be closed up. The image on the front is from Art Impressions.

    Stamps: Golfer – Art Impression
Paper: White; Black; DP – DCWV
Other: Black Ink; Gift Bag Punch Board; Scor-Pal; Oval Dies; Foam Tape; Copics

    Backgrounds

    CHF49OwlTree2-wm

    Hi everyone,

It’s time for another CHF challenge over on the Cornish Heritage Farms Blog . This week the challenge is hosted by me!

For our challenge this week, I have challenged the Design Team to use Backgrounds .... use one or more of CHF's background stamps on your creations.

I have used Cornish Heritage Farms Trees Backgrounder stamp  and the Owl Digital Stamp to create her card.

After I had stamped the Tree Background on my card using black ink, I created a circle mask to create a moon and placed that on my card and then airbrush my card using various colors of blue copic markers. I then removed the mask … added a little grey to part of the moon and then added the owl.

    Happy Birthday To Me!

    ECDBdayCupcake-wm

    Hi everyone,

Seeing it is my birthday today I decided I needed to post a birthday card on my blog :)

Once a month I attend a stamp club with a group of friends and this month we got to create the base of this card thanks for our project coordinator Jackie!  When I got home I pulled out a few of my Elizabeth Craft Designs dies to decorate my card.

I am not sure what the name of this style of card is,  it is a little like a tri shutter card.

To decorate my card I used the Cupcake with Candle and Bow die. I die cut this from black card placed it onto some double sided adhesive paper which was also mounted to some white card. And then I applied some Warm Diamond Silk Microfine Glitter to the adhesive and colored in the cupcake using copic markers.

For the Happy Birthday I die cut the “Happy Birthday” word five times and layered these up together and then adhered this to the large panel on the left side.

    ECDBdayCupcake2-wm

As you can see, the large panel on the left opens up so you can add a sentiment or personal message here. I added a birthday sentiment from Verses.

    ECDBdayCupcake3-wm

On the small side return panels I added a flower using Elizabeth Craft Designs Flower Set 1.
Here are the products I used to create my card:

Stamps: Another Candle Sentiment – Verses
Paper: White; Green; Blue; Secret Admirer DP – Kaisercraft
Dies: Cupcake with Candle & Bow; Flower Set 1; Happy Birthday – Elizabeth Craft Designs
Other: Black Ink; ECD Warm Diamond Silk Microfine Glitter; ECD Double Sided Adhesive Paper; Ribbon; Foam Tape; Copics

    Happy Father’s Day

    EmbossedSeascape-wm

    Hi everyone,

OK first up, I know Father’s Day is a long way away, especially for us here in Australia as it is in September down here…. haha! I recently purchased this Couture Creations Seascape Embossing Folder while at my favorite scrapbooking store and I just had to play.

I embossed the design using Core-dinations card and then sanded the raised portions to reveal the white core. I then added some white hemp twine and a button and the Father’s Day Sentiment…. a fairly quick and easy Father’s Day card!

    EmbossedSeascape2-wm

Here is the inside of my card. I added a sentiment and a couple of strips of card near the bottom.

Stamps: Men Greetings – Wild Rose Studio; #1 Dad – A La Art
    Paper: Blue; Black; Grey
Other: Black Ink; Couture Creations Seascape Embossing Folder; White Hemp Cord; Button; Foam Tape

    Funky Cakes Accordion

    ECDFunkyCakes-wm

    Hello everyone,
It’s challenge time with the “Crazies” over on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog. Kelli Hull our challenge hostess for March brings us another fun challenge.

Kelli have challenged us this week to a  FREE for All... Yep, you heard me... Just make a card!!!!

I always find it easier to do a challenge which has an open theme then one when they set a theme … I have way to many options when the challenge is open LOL!

I created this card to give to Els from Elizabeth Craft Designs for her birthday which was last Saturday and as I would be seeing her at the Craft Show down here in Brisbane on the following Thursday wanted to have something special to give to her.

As you can see I have created an Accordion card combining the Circle Accordion Card Die set and the Fancy Label Accordion Die set designed by Karen Burniston’s for Elizabeth Crafts Designs. This is an idea I got from a link of an accordion card by Torrey Moseley created which  Karen shared on her Karen Burniston, Designer Facebook Page

    ECDFunkyCakes3-wm

To decorate my accordion card today I used the Funky Cakes Peel-Off Stickers … have I told you how much I am loving these peel-offs! I am quiet amazed because I haven’t really liked stickers in the past but I am loving the Elizabeth Craft Designs ones and being able to apply glitter to the whole image and then color it with my copics is sooooooo much fun!

    ECDFunkyCakes4-wm

The middle page of my accordion card was created using the Fancy Label Accordion card die set and also the Fancy Frame Edges. I added a sentiment from Hero Arts and a couple of dots and candles also from the Funky Cakes Peel-Off Stickers sheet.

    ECDFunkyCakes5-wm

Here is the final page of my accordion card. I used the Circle Accordion Card die for the first and last pages of my card and decorated the frame using the Square with Circle Frame Edges set. I love the dots frame … and it has an added bonus as the leftover over sheet with all the tiny dots which are sticky as I add adhesive to my card before I die cut the frames, I give to my daughter who is a Kindy teacher … apparently the kids love them!

    ECDFunkyCakes2-wm

Here is a view of my card from the front when the card is closed. I have also added flowers to my card using Pink & Light Green Adhesive Velvet Sheets and the Bunch of Flowers Die and Curvy Leaves die.

Don't forget to check out the rest of the “Crazies” cards over on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog and also their individual blogs for more details.

    Happy Birthday

    MFTBirds-wm

    Hi everyone,

Today I am playing with a new die I got earlier in the year from MFT Stamps to create a birthday card to add to my stash. I like how I can create the frame around the image any size I want and also the extra pieces to make layering of colors easier.

    MFTBirds2-wm

Here is the inside of my card, I added a sentiment from Hero Arts and also a strip of card near the bottom edge.

Stamps: Yummy Treats Stamp Set – Hero Arts
Paper: Kraft; Green; Splendid Sunshine DP – Echo Park
Other: Black Ink; MFT Die-namics Center Pieces Framed Lovebirds; Button; Hemp Cord; Foam Tape

    Blue Skies!

    CCEE1412Autumn1a-wm

    Hi everyone,

It’s challenge time with my friends over on the CCEE Stampers challenge blog. Joanne Grzelak our challenge hostess for March continues to bring us a fun challenge.

Our challenge this week is …. Spring or Autumn Scene.
Spring has Sprung here in the U.S. Frances, in Australia, is facing Autumn. One thing these two seasons share are bright blue skies and lots of color in nature. Make a card/project with a spring or autumn scene including blue skies. Since it is my sister’s birthday today, you’ll get bonus points if it is a birthday card.

    CCEE1412Autumn-wm

For my card today I used some of my favorite stamps from CC Designs to create an Autumn scene… these stamps so look like my darling Grand Children Smile.

As you can see I have created a pop-up card using the Lots of Pops Pop-Up set designed by Karen Burniston for Elizabeth Crafts Designs. I have also used the All Season tree and added some ‘autumn’ leaves ….. I added some lines to the leaves to make them look like the leaves of the image.

For the fancy shape at the top and bottom of my card I used one of the edges from the Agatha Edges set as well as the flourish from this set.

    CCEE1412Autumn1-wm

For the sentiment, I used one of the labels from the Katie Label Pivot Card set. This is the second half of the sentiment as the first part is on the front of the card.

    CCEE1412Autumn2-wm

Here is the front of the card, I used another image from CC Designs and the first part of the sentiment.

Don’t forget to check out the CCEE Stampers blog (goes live 12 AM EST) to see the rest of the creations the CCEE Stampers created this week. You can also see more details of their creations on their individual blogs:
