Fa La La La La La La La La!

This the season to be jolly, fa la la la la la la la la! Ooops sorry I was getting carried away there singing, hehehe! You guys are lucky blogs don't have sound .... cause my family normally complain when I start singing!

I have been wanting to make this type of card for a while and it was a perfect opportunity to make one for this weeks challenge with my fab/sassy friends on SCS .... our challenge was to use a tab &/or tag on a card. As you can tell I went with the tab punch for mine.

I have been wanting some of The Cat's Pajamas stamps for sometime now and recently they had a 25% off sale so it was the perfect opportunity to order some ... most of them have been hidden away by one of my daughter as that will be her present to me for Christmas ... but it seemed pretty silly to get Christmas themed stamps on Christmas Day so I kept them (and besides that would have made it beyond her budget anyway LOL! :) )

I stamped my penguins on my white card using black ink and colored them ..... I had to stretch the fa la la la la la la la la verse on my acrylic block to get it to fit in the space I had left ... and stamped it at the top and bottom of the penguins using red ink. I then took my versamark ink pad and applied that all over my decorated card covered with iridescent ice EP and heat set. This was then layered to green card.

The red ornament was cut out using my CM circle cutter leaving a small amount of card intact at the top so it was a folded card. I stamped the swirls included in set all over the front of the ornament using red ink. The penguin panel was then attached to the centre of the card.

I punched out a tab from green card, folded in half and attached it to the front of the card using red brads. The red ribbon allows the ornament to be hung on a tree or wherever you want to hang it.

Recipe: Stamps: The Cat's Pajamas
Paper: Real Red & Garden Green - Stampin' Up; White
Other: Black Ink; Real Red SU Ink; Versamark Ink; Iridescent Ice EP; Tab Punch; Red Brads; Red Ribbon

This is such a cute card! I've seen round cards before, but would have never thought to add the punch and make it look like an ornament! I think I'm coming down with a "CASE"!
