Hi Crafty Friends,
It's challenge time with my friends over on the CCEE Stampers challenge blog. Being a brand new month it is time to introduce our new challenge hostess which is Joanne Grzelak.
Virgin Stamp Challenge - Joanne says she doesn't think she is the only one with unused, or 'virgin', stamps. This week she wants us to go through our stash and ink those virgins to create this week's card.
Now I was probably supposed to use old stamps I haven't ink, but as it didn't stipulate this in the challenge ... I went through my stash of new virgin stamps and pulled one of those out to play for this week's challenge.
I wanted to make a card last month for Unicorn Day ... but at that stage I didn't have this stamp set, so I had to wait until I ordered it. This is a fun stamp set from Pink Fresh Studio.
To create my card I have used Karen Burniston's Katherine Label Pop-up card die set, instead of using the label dies that come with the set, I used the new Crosshatch Circles die set to create the window and unicorn.
The card itself is plain cardstock, stamping it all over inside and out using the star stamp from the stamp set used. In real life this card has a lot of sparkle to it, adding Nuvo's Aqua Shimmer pen to all the stars and the unicorn's cheeks, flowers and horn etc.
Here is a look at the inside of the card, I added another sentiment using another of the Crosshatch Circles to the lower right hand corner of the card.
Here is a quick video to show my card in action.
Don't forget to check out the CCEE Stampers blog (goes live 12 AM EST) to see the rest of the creations the CCEE Stampers created this week. You can also see more details of their creations on their individual blogs:

This is just the cutest card......I love the unicorn, but the stars stamped all over caught my eye. This would be so loved by a little girl!
Some little girl will be tickled "pink" with this cute card, Frances.
This is so awesome, Frances. I love watching your unicorn pop up and down! I think I watched it 5 times on Facebook last night!! What fun!!
Frances, this is so darling! I liked that you used that die mechanism with a different shape. It makes it more versatile. And, BTW, my virgin stamp wasn't an old one either.
How absolutely adorable and delightful! This would bring a smile to the Grinch!!! Your cards never fail to delight!
that unicorm is gorgeous....new or old, as long as it was virgin...lol
