Big Mouth Nutcracker

Hi Crafty Friends,

Today I am sharing three Big Mouth Nutcracker cards I created recently using dies from Hero Arts.

As I couldn't decide which colour I wanted my nutcracker, I decided to make three one of each colour.

When I was researching Nutcrackers to make my cards, most I saw had white beards and hair and their moustache and eyebrows were black. I ended up using a very light grey cardstock for the hair and beard to take the starkness off the cards.

These are an interactive card, so when you pull the beard the mouth opens to reveal a Christmas sentiment.

This one is basically the opposite colours to the first, substituting the green for the red etc.

I used the same sentiment for this one as I did for my first nutcracker card.

For my last card, I used the colors dark blue & red.

For this one I used a different sentiment to be revealed when the mouth is opened.

For the insides of all the cards I added two sentiments.

Ho Ho Ho

Hi Crafty Friends,

Today I am continuing sharing my "Christmas in July" cards I have been creating this month.

This time around I have pulled out an older stamp set from Made To Surprise by Sam Calcott. I believe it is from the first Christmas stamps she designed. While it's an older set, it is new to me as I was able to purchase a secondhand set earlier in the year to help fill my collection.

Santa is from the Santa & Rudolph stamp set. I kept the design of my card fairly simple, layering the image onto nesting arches using the Spellbinders Arch Labels & Tags die set.

The "Ho Ho Ho" sentiment if from the Christmas Photo Booth stamp set, also from Made to Surprise.

For the inside of the card, I used a sentiment from the Santa & Rudolph stamp set as well as Santa's boots.

Holding Santa Mug

Hi Crafty Friends,

I'm back today with another Christmas card using the products from Spellbinders July 2025 Club Kits which had a Christmas in July theme.

For my card I created a 5 x 7 card. I used the Betterpress Plate of the Month - Festive Press which I white foiled onto teal cardstock. I love how easy this Betterpress Plate was to line up so I could create a 5 x 7 panel.

I used Spellbinders Matting Basics A & B die sets to die cut my panels to add to my 5 x 7 top folding white card base.

I used the Large Die of the Month - Mugs & Mittens to create the hands holding the mug with Santa. This is such a fun die set, I used it with the mug for this card, but I am looking forward to looking for other images to add to the hands.

The Merry Christmas is an older Glimmer set which I also glimmered using white foil.

For the inside of my card, I printed a digital sentiment I received from Verve Stamps many years ago, I like that it relates to both Christmas & the mug. I added another mug to the top of the sentiment, adding the snowman to the top of the mug.

Christmas Mugs Slimline

Hi Crafty Friends,

Today I am sharing a Christmas themed Slimline Card I created using products from Spellbinders July 2025 Club Kit which has a Christmas in July theme.

This time round I created a Slimline card, I pulled out Whimsy Stamps' Twisted Slimline die to create my Slimline card base.

For the middle panel I used the 2D Embossing Folder of the Month - Nordic Noel to add some texture to the panel.

I decorated this panel using the cute mugs from the Large Die of the Month - Mugs & Mittens. I love the overhead view of the mugs with the cute decorations inside the mugs.

For the inside of my card, I added a Christmas sentiment from my stash and adhered another of the mugs to the left side of my card.

Christmas Mugs

Hi Crafty Friends,

Welcome to my blog! Today I am sharing four Christmas themed A2 Centre Step cards I created on the weekend. My Spellbinders July 2025 Club Kit arrived last week, so as soon as I had a free moment I was playing with all the fun new products.

I just love all these cute mugs that the Small Die of the Month for July 25 "Cocoa Greetings" creates. I used white and red glitter on Santa's Hat to add some sparkle to the image.

For these cards,  I created A2 Centre Step cards using Divinity Designs A2 Center Step Card with Layers die set. It's been a while since I have played with this die which is always lots of fun.

The bases of all cards are the same, I just changed the mug and sentiments to suit each image.

For the background for all four cards, I used the Starry Snowfall 3D Embossing Folder, which is the 3D embossing folder for July. After embossing each of the panels, I applied white pigment ink to the raised areas.

For the card above I created a reindeer, adding a red nose to make it rudolph.

I searched through my sentiment stash to find the best sentiments to suit each of the images for the individual cards.

For the inside of the first two cards, I added the sentiment shown above.

Who doesn't love penguins, and it was a chance to pull out one of my penguin themed sentiments from Mama Elephant.

This is the inside of my penguin card. I used a Christmas sentiment from Waffle Flower. The other part of the sentiment is from the Stay Snuggly, sentiment set from the Club kit. Unfortunately most of the sentiments this month suit a Winter Christmas rather than one for all the world.

The caboodle product for this month is a Gingerbread man, which comes with a die to chop of it's head to turn it into a mug using the handle and accessories included in the Small Die of the Month.

I have a few gingerbread sentiments in my stash so I used some of those on my card.

And finally the inside of my gingerbread card.

Nativity Open Book

Hi Crafty Friends,

Today I have three Nativity themed Mini Slimline cards I created for Christmas in July.

For this card I used Waffle Flower Crafts Open Book die set along with the Open Book Nativity Stencil.

The background was created using Trinity Stamps Time Warp Letterpress Plate which I gold foiled onto white cardstock. I die cut the panel using Waffle Flower Crafts Mini Slimline Layers die set.

The sentiment is from the Open Book Holiday sentiment stamp set.

For the inside I added another sentiment from the stamp set. I added a star above using one of the stencils.

A Happy Bay Window

Hi Crafty Friends,

Today I am sharing another card using dies from Spellbinders Say Cheese Classic Mouse Collection. I just love the Steamboat Willie die set and the accessory dies that come in this collection.

I have created a Bay Window Card as I also wanted to use the window die which is also from Spellbinders. My Bay Window card measures 7 inches x 7 inches, as I needed the height for the window.

To create my card I cut two white panels of card that measure 7 inches x 7 inches.. I then score along the 7 inch side of one of the panels at 1/2” on each side and then centred the window in the centre of the card, allowed a little on each side and scored.

I added the word ‘HAPPY’ using the alphabet dies in the collection.

When you open the card it reveals the scene using the Flags & Banners die set.

Here is a look at the full inside of my card. I also added a border using the Classic Mouse Borders die set.

My card will fold flat to be put into a large envelope.

Elf Hats

Hi Crafty Friends,

Today I am sharing four Christmas themed Slimline cards I created for Christmas in July. I didn’t manage to post any Christmas cards on my blog last week, so I am making sure I do this week.

For my cards I have used Waffle Flower Crafts Elf Hat die set which was recently released. This is such a fun die set.

As you can see, I die cut two hats per card and added a portion of a face using a circle die from my stash. I adhered one to the bottom right corner, and the other to the top left corner. I added googly eyes to the bottom elf,

I couldn’t decide which patterned paper to use, so I used two different ones. But otherwise they are the same. Although one card, the elf does have eyes on the top elf which the others don’t have, as the face area ended up being larger.

For the sentiment, I used Waffle Flower Crafts Elf Sentiments stamp/die set.

I added another of the sentiments from the stamp set on the inside of my card. I also added the left over gold glitter pieces that came out of the bell.
