Quacky Birthday

Hi Crafty Friends,

It’s challenge time with the “Crazies” over on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog. As challenge hostess for the month, I continue to issue the challenges.

Apparently today is Rubber Duckie Day … let's celebrate by including a duck or two on our cards this week. Don't have anything duck related what about chickens, geese, turkeys etc.

For my card today I have finally  pulled out an EK Success stamp set that I have had for ages and not used .... I had actually forgotten about the set until someone else used it for something last year .... I think it was last year!

As you can see I have created a pop up card. I used Karen Burniston's Cupcake Pop-up Card die set for my card and cover the cupcake with a rectangle piece of card which I also decorated to match the background of the card.

I used the Nature Edges die set to add the grass along the bottom and the clouds along the top edge of the card.

I added a "duck" theme sentiment to the rectangle on the pop up which is from a SugarPea Designs stamp set and I computer generated the "Quacky Birthday" sentiment.

For the front of the card I have again used the duck images as well as the grass and clouds that I used on the inside of the card.

Don't forget to check out the rest of the “Crazies” cards over on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog and also their individual blogs for more details.

Paper: White; Blue; Watercolor Wishes Paper Pad - Lawn Fawn

Stache Tastic Birthday

Hi everyone,

Today I have one more "moustache" card to share with you. This time around I decided to create a pull card using the Pop it Ups Oval Pull Card die set. I added the EK Success Googly Eyes/Mustache/Lips die set for the centre oval.

On the side panels I added fishtails using the ModaScrap Stitched Fishtail Banners die set.

When you 'pull' the card open it reveals the sentiment and a blank oval so that I can write a greeting to whoever I decide to send this card to.

Stamps:  Flava Sava - There She Goes; LJD Birthday Greetings - MFT Stamps
Paper: White; Black; Kraft; Pink; Tune DP - Kaisercraft
Dies: Pop it Ups Oval Pull Card; ModaScrap Stitched Fishtails Banners - Elizabeth Craft Designs; Googly Eyes/ Mustache/Lips - EK Success
Other: Black Ink;  Black Rhinestones; Red Candy Dot; Foam Tape

Fan{tashe}tic

Hi everyone,

Today I am sharing a Father's Day card I created using the EK Success Googly Eyes/Mustache/Lips die set which I purchased recently. I had such fun with this die set that I made a few male cards with it which I will be sharing with you over the next couple of weeks.

For this card I used the Tattered Lace Shutter Card die set to create my card.

The sentiment is computer generated. On the last panel of the card I added the sentiment "D@D" from lil' Inker Designs.

Here is a look at my card when it is closed ready to be placed in an envelope.

On the face on the front of the card I used both mustaches from the die set, one for the mustache and the other for the hair. I also used one of the circles from the other set of eyes for the nose and also the mouth.

I used the circles from Elizabeth Craft Designs.

Paper: White; Black; Green; Olive; Pink; Nest DP - Authentique
Dies: Shutter Card - Tattered Lace; Stitched Circles; Fitted Circles - Elizabeth Craft Designs; Googly Eyes/ Mustache/Lips - EK Success; D@d - Lil' Inker Designs
Other: Black Ink; Foam Tape

#1 Teacher

Hi everyone,

It’s challenge time with the “Crazies” over on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog.  Barb Anders our challenge hostess for May continues to bring us our challenges.

School will be letting out here in the US soon, let's make a teacher appreciation card and actually USE it. If you don't need it for yourself, gift it to someone who does.

Of course where I live school doesn't get out until December which is when summer is for us, so I will keep this card and give it to my daughter who can give it to my grandson's teacher then.

Apples have long been associated with teachers, so I went with that theme for my card this time round. I decided to create a Pop Stand Card using the pop stand accessory die included in the Eiffel Tower Pop Stand Card die set designed by Karen Burniston for Elizabeth Craft Designs

The pop stand tabs weren't in the correct position for the apple I wanted to use, so after folding my card in half, I marked on my card where the bottom parts of the apple would be and then die cut one side at a time so that the pop stand tabs could be spaced to suit the apple instead of the Eiffel Tower.

Here you can see the back side of my Pop Stand Card, I could have decorated the back of the apple but I decided to keep it plain. I also left the label blank so that it can be used to write a personal message.

Here is an overhead view of my card so you can see the whole card at once.

And finally, here is the front of my card. I let the fishtail flag overhang the edge of the card and added the greeting 'Thank You'. I also die cut another Apple and cut it down to so it would fit on the left side of my card. I added the 'A' and 'is for Apple'.

Don't forget to check out the rest of the “Crazies” cards over on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog and also their individual blogs for more details.

Aloha!

CCEE1229 HulaMarci wm

Hi everyone,

It’s challenge time again with my friends over on the CCEE Stampers challenge blog. This week our challenge hostess, Lois Bak continues with her July challenges.

Our challenge this week is to use two different border punches on your card.

Ok so before we get too far into my card, I have a confession .. I cheated a little, I used one border bunch the EK Success Palm Border Punch (on the red card) and I used the MFT Stamps Die-namics Catch the Waves die as my other border. To me punches/die are basically the same thing just one takes up a lot less space and you can use with lots of other things other than just card.

Now onto my card…. I used La La Land Crafts Hula Marci, this was another recent purchase … isn’t she a cutie! I also used the new Palm Tree die also from La Land Land. For the sentiment I used the Die-namics Sea Charm.

CCEE1229 HulaMarci2 wm

Here is the inside of my card, I add the border using the EK Success Border punch. I have left my card blank so that I can add something when I know who and why I am giving this card to someone.

Don’t forget to check out the CCEE Stampers blog (goes live 12 AM EST) to see the rest of the creations the CCEE Stampers created this week. You can also see more details of their creations on their individual blogs:

Stamps: Hula Marci – La La Land Crafts
Paper: White; Red; Cream; Seaside Collection DP – Kaisercraft
Other: Black Ink; Palm Tree Die – La La Land Crafts; MFT Die-namics Catch the Wave Border; MFT Die-namics Sea Charm; EK Success Palm Border Punch; Foam Tape; Copics

Easter Flip-It!

Riley FlipIt wm

Hi everyone!

It is day 3 of our Riley sneak peeks in readiness of the of the new Riley stamps that will be available from Riley and Company this coming Thursday 26th January. This time round we have 14new Riley’s being released with a Spring/Easter theme.

Recently while shopping at my local scrapbooking store, I purchased a couple of the new Sizzix Flip-It dies which is what I have used to create my card today. I am loving this die, so much easier than measuring and scoring etc!

I have used two of the new Riley stamps that are being released … they are Buster & Riley (walking) and Lulu (the lamb) & Riley.

Riley FlipIt2 wm

This is such a fun card in that when folded how it is supposed to be folded, the image that is actually on the back of the card shows on the front and then when you open it up the other images flips around to be seen. You can see Lulu (the lamb) & Riley here now I have opened the card up a little.

Riley FlipIt3 wm

Here is my card again … this time completely unfolded, this is actually the back of the card but as you can see the image that is normally on the front is stamped on this side.

Riley FlipIt4 wm

And one more look at my card … this is the front of the card when completely opened, but this image will appear on the back when folded as it should be.
