Have A Happy Day

Hi Crafty Friends,

When it comes to paper dolls, I don't think I will ever grow up ... I love them! When I discovered Hero Arts had released some paper doll sets earlier on in the year, I had to add a few of the die sets to my stash! I have been too busy playing with other stuff, but I finally found some time to pull some of the dies out to create this Mini Slimline card.

For the Mini Slimline card I used Waffle Flower Craft's Mini Slimline Layers die set to create the layers of my card. When I was looking for some patterned paper for the girls dress, I discovered the paper for the background too.

To create my paper dolls I used Hero Arts Hero Lifestyle Forms and Hero Lifestyle Picnic Day. I die cut the various pieces from a mixture of plain cardstock and patterned paper and assembled the dolls with them.

I added the "Have A Happy Day" sentiment which is a sentiment included in a Lawn Fawn stamp set.

I kept the inside of the card fairly simple, using the Mini Slimline dies I used on the front of the card.

For the sentiment I used a stamp and die using Honey Bee Stamps Enjoy Stamp set and coordinating die set.

Hello Missees

Hi Crafty Friends,

A few weeks ago Jennifer McGuire shared a tutorial using Studio Light's Missees stamps and die sets. As I have always loved paper dolls, I just had to add them to my stash.

There are three die sets available, the first ... Betty include dies to create the head and body and also has dies for some different hair styles, dies to create clothing and various accessories to decorate. There is also a coordinating stamp set that includes a few different options for faces etc.

Another of the sets ... Tasha includes the arm (you even have the option to add fingernails), more hairstyles, jewellery and other accessories. The coordinating stamp set includes more face options, sentiments and accessories.

The third die set... Carol includes more hair styles, jewellery and accessories and this also has a coordinating stamp set which includes even more face options, sentiments and accessories.

There are also three stamp sets you can get to create stamped girls or use some of the clothing or face options with the dies from the die set.

For my card I used dies from all three die sets ... the face, body, clothes and hair are from the Betty die set. The arm, some jewellery and stamped facial features are from the Tasha die and stamp set and the remaining jewellery are from the Carol die set.

I created a side folding Slimline card which measures 3 3/4 inches x 8 3/4 inches. I used Honey Bee Stamps Slimline Basketweave die for the background panel.

For the sentiment I used The Stamp Market's Hello Serif die set and also a sentiment from Altenew's Hello and Hugs stamp set.

To finish off the card I added crystals over the card.

For the inside of the card I added Scrapbook dot com's Slim Borders die set to add the scallop border along the right edge of the card.

I added the Big Hi sentiment which is from The Stamp Market, along with another of the sentiments from the Altenew Hello and Hugs stamp set.

Paper Dolls Blog Hopping with MFT!

Hi everyone and welcome to my blog, I am glad you could join the MFT Design Team on our Hop Around the Block.

If you haven't hopped onto my blog via Jessie Knightrone's blog then you might want to turn around and start at the beginning of our blog hop which is at Kim MFT Lady's blog, after all you don't want to miss out on any of the fun right!

Today I have 3 scraplings to share with you using the new "Ben's Paper Dolls" stamp set which will be released by MFT Stamps later tonight after the release party. They will be 4 new stamp sets that will be released.

I just love this new paper doll set, which was named after Cammie's son Ben! I am sure any little boy or girl will love this set to use to play paper dolls and it is also a great set to use to create cards for boys. The set comes with one little boy paper doll and 3 different outfits: Superman, pirate & spaceman. There are also 3 little pets of each of the characters in this set.

For my first of my scraplings I used the Superman outfit and his little dog who is also dressed up as a super hero.

As you can see for my second scrapling I dressed Ben up as a pirate and there is Ben's trusty sidekick the parrot! The sentiment included on this scrapling is not part of the Paper doll set.

My final scrapling today has Ben as a Spaceman .... I created the moon by punching out a circle and then using a sizzix texture plate to create the craters.

My Favorite Things is having a New Release Cocktail Party on Wednesday, April 1st from 9-10 PM EASTERN. This month there are 4 new sets being released!

Head over to the MFT forum HERE to find out all the details and to find out how YOU can be the next MFT Guest Designer. We hope to see you there on Wednesday night.

From One Doll To Another ....

Hi there!

My card today is for the Hanna Stamps challenge over on the Hanna Stamps members forum. This week the challenge is to use embossing on your card, heat embossing or dry embossing. Bonus points for doing both.

Well I didn't earn any bonus points because I only used one type of embossing ... dry! I used my Swiss Dots cuttlebug embossing folder emboss the top portion of this card.

This card using "Dress Up Hanna" which was released by Hanna Stamps earlier in the month.

I have had this sentiment for years and I figured it suited this card so I used it.

Stamps: Dress Up Hanna - Hanna Stamps; Sentiment - Me & Carrie Lou
Paper: White; Soft Sky & Blue Bayou - SU; DP - Unknown

Wee Hanna Paper Dolls!

Hi everyone! Today I am sharing a couple of projects I did using the new "Wee Hanna" paper doll set which will be released tonight Monday 2nd March.

This time I just made a plain old fashioned "paper" paper doll set ... well card anyway. To dress Wee Hanna you just fold over the tabs which are included on the images ... remember those!

I created this little folder which is based on the idea of the CD holder I showed you yesterday but on a smaller scale.

Here is the inside ... the paper dolls and her clothes just slip into the pocket where they can stay until you are ready to play with them another day. This is sooo easy to make.

My second card is ... yes a pirate card .... I love pirates too hehe! I had this fun pink pirate designer paper so of course I had to make a pink card.

This card using Taylor's of Taylored Expressions TECC56 sketch.

Stamps: Wee Hanna - Hanna Stamps
Paper: White; Black; Pirate DP - Rusty Pickle; Multi Colored Square DP - Unknown
Other: Black Ink; Oval Nestabilites; Circle Nestabilities; Black Brads; Magnetic Closure; Black Grosgrain Ribbon; Spots & Dots Cuttlebug Embossing Folder; Word Window Punch; Foam Tape; Copics

My Paper Dolls!

Hi again!

Yesterday I shared a card with you using the new "Dress Up Hanna" set that will be released by Hanna Stamps after their release party on Monday night 2nd March. Today I have another project to share with you using this stamp set. As I have mentioned before I love paper doll stamps .... and I love this set. Isn't Hanna looking gorgeous!!!!!!

I created a magnetic paper doll set. I stamped all the images onto sheets of good white paper and after coloring my images I layered this onto thin magnet sheets and cut out all the pieces. I also decorated the tin to hold the collection of paper dolls.

Here is the inside of my paper doll tin, it isn't the greatest photo but it was the best I could get. I think you get the idea though. I made two Hanna paper dolls and stamped the dresses on plain paper as well as designer papers.

So Cute!

Happy Sunday everyone ... I have another card to share with you today ... this one is for the sketch that Club Anya is running this week. I couldn't resist getting out one of my Anya stamps and playing in this challenge. I used the "Dress Me" set and the sentiment is from "Wardrobe #1" ... I have a thing about collecting paper doll stamps so of course couldn't help myself when I saw these sets.

I paper pieced the dress that Anya is wearing using the same DP that is on the base of this card. The circles are created using my circle nestabilities, and I used my script cuttlebug embossing folder to add texture to the pink layers.

Recipe:
Stamps: Dress Me & Wardrobe #1 - The Greeting Farm
Paper: White; Black: Orange; Rose Red & Pretty In Pink - SU; DP - Unknown
Other: Black Ink; Pretty In Pink SU Ink; Circle Nestabilities; Tag Sizzlit Die; Script Cuttlebug Embossing Folder; Flowers; Pink Brads; Orange Grosgrain Ribbon; Foam Tape; Copics

You're a Doll ... Let's Blog Hop!

Hi everyone and welcome to my blog ... I hope you are all enjoying our MFT blog hop today. If you didn't hop onto my blog from Cindy Haffner's blog then you might want to go back to Kim's blog so you can start at the beginning.

My MFTeaser today is another project using the new Isabelle Paper Doll set which is to be released later today (Wednesday 3rd December) by MFT Stamps.

I just love paper dolls so was very excited when I discovered that MFT Stamps was planning on releasing this set. I decided to create a Paper doll set that could be kept all together in a altoid tin.

First I covered the tin, and then I stamped Isabelle & the dog onto white card, cut them both out and attached these to the front of the tin. I computer generated the sentiment and attached it to the middle of the flowers that I attached to the front of my tin.

I also attached a handle to the side of my tin to make it easier for a little girl to carry it around.

I then stamped two paper dolls and all the clothes onto white photocopy paper, colored them and attached these all to adhesive magnet sheets. Once I had cut everything out I placed them inside the tin. Being magnetic the dolls and clothes attach themselves to the tin so they don't fall out and you can place the clothes onto the doll and again they don't fall off.

You can even place one of the pieces of clothing onto the front of the tin if you want to dress that doll up too.

Here is another view of the inside of my paper doll tin.

My Favorite Things (www.mftstamps.com) is having a New Release Cocktail Party tonight Wednesday, December 3rd from 9-10 p.m. Eastern time. This month there are THREE new sets being released including a TOTE-ally awesome Who's that Girl set!
