Come Hopping With Hanna!

Hanna-coffin-wm

Hi again everyone and welcome to my blog. It time to join the Hanna Stamps Design Team for a blog hop!

I am the beginning of the blog hop.

Brand new Hanna Stamps & Riley Stamps will be released by Hanna Stamps this coming Tuesday 8th September after the release party over on the Hanna Stamps Member Forum of SCS.

Today I am featuring the new Goth Hanna, I hope you enjoy my projects!

Hanna-coffin-3-wm

My first project I created is a coffin, just right for those Halloween treats. I found the template to create the coffin on the Martha Stewart site you can find it here. I reduced the size of the template to 83% before I cut it out as I didn’t need my coffin box to be quiet so big as the one supplied on the template.

Hanna-coffin-2-wm

Here is a side on view of the coffin box, this was lots of fun to create!

hanna-bad-bone-wm

Next I created a card using this set. I stamped Goth Hanna onto white card using black ink and cut her out. On a separate piece of card I stamped the brick background using my stamp positioner as I needed to stamp it twice across the card. I hand drew in the footpath. I stamped all the graffiti using images from the Goth Hanna set and also the new Graffiti set which was designed to go with the brick wall. Once everything was stamped I used my copic airbrush system to color the wall and the footpath. I then attached Hanna onto my card using foam tape.

I added the black band with the silver eyelets to the bottom of my card.

Well now it is time to head on over to the ever so creative Cindy Haffner’s Blog so you can continue on your Hop Around The Block. I hope you enjoy the rest of the hop and thanks for dropping by!

Of course Mrs Riley has been busy cooking apple pie hehe for her farmer husband. It has to be apple because of the designer paper I used hehe.

Happy Father’s Day!

2009-Fathers-day-wm

Hi everyone!

No I am not late or early for next year! It is Father’s Day down here in Australia today … Happy Father’s Day to all those Aussie Dad’s especially the one who is the Dad to my two.

When I saw this image over at Mo’s Digital Pencil I knew I had to buy it and use it for my DH’s card as he is a train enthusiast. Yes this image is a digital image.

I used this week’s sketch challenge over on SCS, SC244 … I am a little late this week because I was feeling a little lazy on Wednesday when the sketch came out. Besides I figured 3 posts that day was enough hehe!

2009-Fathers-day-1-wm http://www.elzybells.co.uk/showdetails.asp?id=759

Here is the inside of my card. For the sentiment I used Elzybells Art Stamp’s Family Greeting Set. I love this set as you have so many different words/phrases which you can combine to make the sentiment you wish.

Recipe:

Stamps: The Engineer – Mo’s Digital Pencil; Happy Father’s Day – Hanna Stamps; Sentiment – Elzybells Art Stamps

Paper: White; Brown; Green

More Hanna’s For You!

hanna-fall-wm

Hi everyone!

Today I have a couple more sneak peeks of the new stamps that will be released by Hanna Stamps this coming Tuesday 8th September after the release party over on the Hanna Stamps Member Forum of SCS.

My first card above uses new “Fall Hanna” and the Brick Background stamp which was release last month. To create this card I first stamped Fall Hanna onto my card using Black Ink, I also stamped the rake, pumpkins, and leaves, I stamped these again on masking paper and used this to mask all the images. As I wanted the bricks to look like it was the side of a building so I needed a straight line on the left edge. I worked out where I wanted the wall to end and then masked the sky area using post it notes so that when stamped I would have a straight edge. I then used my stamp positioner and stamped my bricks.

Once all the stamping was completed and while the masks were still in place I then used my copic airbrush system to color the grass area, sky and brick wall. Each time masking the other areas to prevent contamination.

The lattice background on the olive green card was created using a sizzix texture plate.

hanna-milk-carton-wm

My next project is a cute little milk carton, I found this template while going through my Google reader last Saturday and I just had to make one for myself. I found the template on Create4Fun’s challenge blog.

Don’t you just love Elf Hanna, this is another brand new set that will be available from Hanna Stamps soon!

Here is a side view of my milk carton I created.

This week’s challenge is a sketch challenge hosted by Cindy Haffner. I just love sketch challenges and of course Cindy’s sketches too.

Birthday Hanna!

hanna-birthday-book-wm

Hi everyone!

As promised I have a few more sneak peeks of the new stamps that will be released by Hanna Stamps this coming Tuesday 8th September after the release party over on the Hanna Stamps Member Forum of SCS.

Today I am featuring the new Happy Birthday Hanna set … I just love her! For my first project I decided to make a birthday book, I created one of these for a friend earlier in the year and have been wanting to make myself one for some time …. well now is the time. Inside the book is a page for each month where I can write down the date and name of all my families and friends birthdays so I can keep track on what is happening.

hanna-cut-out-bday-wm

Next I created a card to match the birthday book …. this is a cut out card with the image on the inside of the card but shows though when the card is closed.

hanna-cut-out-bday-3-wm  This is the inside of my card, there is room on the side of the image to stamp or write a greeting.

Hanna-blue-bday-wm

And finally one more card using Happy Birthday Hanna, the balloons and the Happy Birthday banner are also included in this set. I also used Hanna Stamps floor stamp which was released last months, creating a floor is even easier now!

You’re The Best!

hanna-wheat-best-wm

Hi everyone!

Today starts the beginning of the sneak peeks of the new stamps that will be released by Hanna Stamps this coming Tuesday 8th September after the release party over on the Hanna Stamps Member Forum of SCS.

Friday’s also mean challenge time over on the Hanna Stamps Member Forum and this week’s challenge is hosted by Ilina Crouse. Ilina decided on a Be Inspired challenge and the inspiration photo is of a couch/bed that has stripes, browns and beige on it. So I went with the stripes, brown & beige theme to create my card. I used the new Wheat Riley which is one of the new stamps that will be released on Tuesday.

Now talking of challenges, did you know that Hanna Stamps has changed the way we are doing challenges for releases. Rather then do them at the release party we will now have one challenge issued on the Monday a week prior to the release. Why not take a look and play, because you could be the recipient of a $20 gift voucher and 1 unmounted stamp of your choice, sound good! Head on over to the Hanna Stamps Member Forum for more details.

I will be back tomorrow with some more sneak peeks!

Paper: White; Baja Breeze, Chocolate Chip & Parisian Breeze DP – SU

I used the new MFT Stamps “Too Cute To Spook ” stamp set that was released yesterday. I think this set is totally adorable. As with my previous card I created using this set after stamping the images, I masked everything and used my copic airbrush system to add on the colors.

I’ll Keep My Eye Out For You!

eye-wildcard-4-wm

Hi everyone,

As you can see I have been having lots of fun with the eyeball image that comes in the new Ghoulish Labels set which is to be released later today by MFT Stamps.

The inspiration of this card was thinking of someone peeking through a keyhole! I was originally going to create a keyhole but then I discovered this cute mini wildcard die in my stash and thought it worked perfect with this image. And of course I had to make two cause I didn’t know which one I liked best hehe!

eye-wildcard-2-wm

Here is a few of the inside … both card look the same on the inside so I only included the one pic of it. The black one I used webbing spray to create the white over the black card.

eye-wildcard-3-wm

Here is a close-up of the striped mini wildcard … doesn’t it look spooky hehe! Perfect for Halloween!

eye-wildcard-5-wm

And finally a close up of my black mini wildcard hehe!

  • Keeping An Eye Out and Hopping Around the Block!

    mft-eye-jar-wm

Happy Wednesday everyone and welcome to my blog. It time to join the MFT Stamps Design Team for another "Hop Around the Block"

Now if you didn't hop onto my blog from Cindy Haffner's blog then you might want to hop back to Kim's (MFT Lady) blog so that you can start at the beginning of the hop. You don't want to miss anything and there is lots to see!

MFT Stamps will be releasing five new stamp sets, Coffee? Tea? WTG; Party Girl; Sow Seeds Of Love; Too Cute To Spook and Ghoulish Labels …. these will all be available on the MFT Stamps store after our MFT Stamps Release party which starts tonight at 8pm EST over on the MFT Member Forum of SCS.!

mft-eyes-wm For my first project for today I used the new Ghoulish Labels set …. oh this set has soooo many possibilities! I originally wanted to get some eye bubble gum which I have seen around the place, but when I went looking I couldn’t find any and not to be defeated I decided to make my own eyes which could be used for a Halloween decoration.

To make the eyes I purchased some ping pong balls and then used the eye stamp from the Ghoulish Label set to stamp on my ping pong balls. You can find my tips on how I did this in this week’s HTDT Forum over on the MFT Member Forum of SCS. I also decorated the jar which is part of MFT Stamps perfect packaging range

    mft-eye-jar-3-wm

Here is another view so you can see the top of the jar. Here I used the Bling Bet stamp set to create the wording “Eye Balls” instead of using the letter E in the word eye I used the eye stamp from the set again.

I have to say that creating my projects this month for the MFT Stamps release I had the odd feeling of being watched even though no one was home … I wonder why LOL!

    mft-coffee-duo-wm

My next two projects today use the new Coffee? Tea? Who’s That Girl Set. This is such a fun set!

    mft-coffee-while-wm

As you can see I paper pieced the girls dress.

mft coffee mug2 After making the card I decided to also decorate a travelling coffee mug using the same designer papers etc. A fun and easy gift to give to a friend. It’s hard to see on the photos and I didn’t want to add to many more as I have tons already … but I have used the cups that are included in the set on either side of the centre image. You can just see them in the top photo.

Well that is enough from me for today … it’s time to continue on the hop. This time you will be heading on over to the amazing Barbara Anders’ Blog so you can continue on your Hop Around The Block. Enjoy the rest of the hop and thanks for dropping by!

  • A Halloween Scrapling!

    alota-scrapling-wm

It is time for another challenge over on the Alota Rubber Stamps Paper Craft Planet Group. This week the challenge is hosted by Me!!!!!!!!!!!. You have two weeks from today to participate in this challenge and you also have a chance of winning some wonderful stamps if you card is selected randomly from all the entries received.

So can you guess what the challenge is hehe …. yes you guessed it to make a scrapling hehe. Ok ok so I am hooked on these things hehe, I love being able to use up all those scraps of card that I would otherwise throw away or accumulate and never use.

Scraplings are normally 1.25" x 4.25" because they are often made from the off cuts you get when you make a square card (4.25" square) from a piece of card that is 4.25" x 5.5". However if you are like me your scraplings may be a little wider depending on what you are working on at the time. Now for me 1.25" is way too narrow and I normally have wider card then that left over so you can makes yours wider .... BUT for this challenge they cannot be any wider then 2.5 inches that is for the base of the scrapling ... you can have wider pieces hanging off like I did with my scrapling above, that is up to you .... as long as they are no wider then 2.5 inches.

I used Witch Bug & Masked Bug to create my scrapling.

    Recipe:

Stamps – Witch Bug & Masked Bug – Alota Rubber Stamps

Paper: White; Rich Razzleberry – SU; DP – MFT Stamps

Other: Black Ink; Circle Punches; Grosgrain Ribbon; Foam Tape; Copics
