Elizabeth Craft Designs June Designer Challenge

Hi Crafty Friends,

It's time for our June Elizabeth Craft Designs Design Team Designer challenge. Check out the Elizabeth Craft Designs blog today to see what our talented designers created for the challenge.

Our challenge this month is .....
Hexagon Inspiration- There are so many fun ways to include Hexagons on our projects. Use either or both the new Fitted Hexagons or Stitched Hexagons die sets in some way when you create your card/scrapbook layout or 3D items.

For today's challenge Elizabeth Craft Designs are giving away a $20 Gift Card to use on our website to 3 winners

To enter simply leave a comment on the Elizabeth Craft Designs Facebook Giveaway Blog Post or the Elizabeth Craft Designs Challenge post and tell us What is your favorite way to use Elizabeth Craft Designs Stitched Hexagons or Fitted Hexagons dies.

We will select 3 lucky winners in a random drawing

The winners will be announced on Friday, June 22nd on the Elizabeth Craft Designs blog and our Facebook page.

For my card today I used the Stitched Hexagons and Fitted Hexagons to create an Easel Card.

I used the largest hexagon from the Stitched Hexagon die set to create the Easel Card base. The largest hexagon from the Fitted Hexagons was used to create the layers of this card.

To create the background on the main panel I sponged on Broken China and Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide inks and then spritzed with water using a Distress Sprayer.

Along the bottom of the main panel I added "sand" by die cutting an oval from the Stitched Ovals die set from white cardstock, this was sponged using Shea Butter Catherine Pooler Ink. This was also used to sponge the panel on the base of the card.

To decorate my card I used the Flamingos and Tropical Florals die sets along with the Beach Sentiments Clear Stamp set.

Here is a look at my card when it is closed ready to be placed in an envelope.

I hope you enjoyed my project today. Don't forget to check out the Elizabeth Craft Designs blog to see all the wonderful creations by our talented designers and for a change to win the giveaway.
