Hope Your Birthday is a Splash

Hi Crafty Friends,

It's challenge time with my friends over on the CCEE Stampers challenge blog. Joanne Grzelak our challenge hostess for the month, continues to issue the challenges.

This week's challenge is "Relaxation". Create a card that depicts Relaxation to you. Can be a place where you are relaxed or what you do to relax.

I have been wanting to create a card using Avery Elle's Splash stamp set with coordinating dies for a while now and today's challenge seemed like the perfect time to make it.

I created a pop-up card using Karen Burniston's Katherine Label Pop-up die set along with the Nature Edges; Palm Tree and Tropical Scene die sets.

I used part of the pool on the left hand side of the card for the inside of the card.

Here is a quick video to see my card in action.

For the front of the card, I repeated the pool element I used on the inside. This time including the whole pool. The water inside the pool was created using distress oxide inks.

Don't forget to check out the CCEE Stampers blog (goes live 12 AM EST) to see the rest of the creations the CCEE Stampers created this week. You can also see more details of their creations on their individual blogs:

I love this adorable card, and the perfect words of sentiment to get a "relaxed" state of mind!! Love that pop out on the inside of your card too. As always, your card is delightful, Frances.

We have a big inground pool in our yard.........and during the summer, I'm there every day. Almost as good as being at the ocean. YOur card, as usual, is amazing!

Such a fun card, Frances! Those pool floaters bring back memories of my kids playing in the pool when they were younger.

It may be too cold for this in your neck of the woods, but this is the perfect summer birthday card for those of us who live in Texas. Sensational pop up creation, Frances!!

Oh this would fit nicely in my backyard! LOL! Once again you have made the cutest card - so full of activity and creating a scene worthy of applause! Love all the small details!

On days I could not get to the beach, the pool was my second choice (when we had one)....floating in the pool was so relaxing and enjoyable.

will try to find time to catch up on your previous posts, but don't have time today.....trying to take care of comments, email, and snail mail that accumulated while I was away......the price we pay for vacatioons...lol

Wonderful card - such a fun stamp set and I like how you used it here. You reminded me of an older pool stamp set I have ... going to have to dig that out now.
