Hi Crafty Friends,
It's challenge time with my friends over on the CCEE Stampers challenge blog. As challenge hostess for the month, I continue to issue the challenges.
Apparently the 21st March is International Day of Forests. For our challenge this week, included a tree or trees on your creation.
To create my card today I pulled out my Hello Bluebird Slimline Tall Trees die. I die cut the trees and the grass area from grey and green cardstock and then shaded the pieces using Copic Markers and ink pads. I then paper pieced these pieces onto a Slimline sized white card panel which had been colored blue using Distress Oxide inks and blending brushes. Before adhering the trees to the panel, I die cut a green piece of card using the cloud die included in Mama Elephant's Slimline Card Base die set to create the tree branches under the top of the trees.
I used a stamp set from Your Next Stamp ... Happy Gnomies to decorate my card.
For the inside of the card I created a pop-up card using Karen Burniston's Katherine Label Pop-up die set. As you can see by the photo above, I created a double pop up. I added sentiment from the Your Next Stamp's stamp set used on the front of the card for the top label and a birthday sentiment from a Colorado Craft Company stamp set on the lower label. I also added a couple of gnomes to the inside panels.
Don't forget to check out the CCEE Stampers blog (goes live 12 AM EST) to see the rest of the creations the CCEE Stampers created this week. You can also see more details of their creations on their individual blogs:
