Wishing You A Merry Christmas

Hi Crafty Friends,

Today I have a Gnome themed Christmas Slimline Shadow Box card to share with you.

My card uses Studio Light / Creative Craft Lab's Slimline Shadowbox Card die set. I decorated the card using Trinity Stamps North Pole Gnomes stamp set.

Inside the shadow box, I used Divinity Designs' Slimline Tree & Hill Silhouettes die set, to add the snowy hills and trees.  I used white glitter cardstock for the snowy hills.

The banner at the top of the card, is also included in the Slimline Shadowbox die set.

I added a panel to the back of the card. I added a gnome themed sentiment from Picket Fence Studios on this panel. I also added a gnome elf and gnome Santa to each side of the back panel.

Ho Ho Ho!

Hi Crafty Friends,

Today I am sharing a Slimline Shadow Box card with you all, I have made shadow box cards before but this is the first Slimline version I have made.

I was inspired by a Slimline Shadow Box Card created by Jennifer McGuire who recently did a video on this style of card. You can see her video here. I don't have the Trinity Stamps die and stamps Jennifer used yet, and I don't like copying anyway, so pulled out some stamps I purchased last year that had chimneys and Santa in his sleigh and used those for my card.

For the background of my card, I used The Ton's Slimline Star Coverplate die. Now if I made this card again, I would trim 1/4 inch of the length of the coverplate, as by the time you add on the 1/2 inch piece to hold the front portion of the card it makes the card 9 1/4 inch when flattened and only just goes into a #10 envelope, but it does go in as I checked.

I backed the Star Coverplate onto cardstock that was covered with Double Sided Adhesive and then covered the adhesive with Warm Diamond Silk Microfine Glitter.

To decorate my card I used Father Christmas by Raymond Briggs stamp set which I purchased last year from Craft Stash.

The panel which is under the chimney's is white glitter cardstock, so it looks like snow.

Here you can see my card when it is folded flat, ready to be placed in a #10 envelope.

I always like to decorate of the back of this style of card, it is a place for another sentiment and for a hand written greeting to the recipient.

I used the largest rectangle from Karen Burniston's Long Rectangles Crosshatch die set for the layers.

I used Crafter's Companion's Believe Edge'ables die/stamp set to add the die cut "Believe" along the edge of the card and the coordinating stamped sentiment underneath. I also added a chimney to either side of the sentiment.
