Poppylicious Gift Bag

Hi everyone,

Today I am sharing a gift bag I decorated for my friend who had a birthday recently. 

My friend loves poppies and I had already made her a poppy themed card which I posted here a week or so ago and then I discovered this cute Poppylicious Digital Stamp from Tiddly Inks which of course I HAD to buy so I could make a gift bag using it for her present.

One of the bonuses of digital stamps is you can size the image whatever you want, so I kept it fairly big, although it would still fit on a card. I pulled out my Grand Nestabilities dies to die cut and layer the image and colored with my copics. The set also comes with a poppy border so I printed that out twice and cut that out and attached that to the bottom of the bag.

Here is another look at my bag, this time at a different angle. Recently while at Costco, I found some fun wire-edged ribbon which of course I had to buy and as I had seen a video on how to make these bows a few days prior to buying the ribbon, I had to try it out. As the colors worked with this poppy themed gift bag, I added it to the top of the bag.

It's challenge time with my friends over on the CCEE Stampers challenge blog.  Our challenge hostess for July, Lynn McAuley finishes off the month with one last challenge.

Lynn tells us that .... Tomorrow is Harry Potter’s birthday. So for our challenge this week we are to create a card of some kind that honors this amazing literary character.

I found some Harry Potter themed character digital stamps over on the Tiddly Inks web site, so decided I had to get them to create my card for this challenge. 

I decided to create a Pull card using the Rectangle Pull Card die set designed by Karen Burniston for Elizabeth Craft Designs.

This time round I decided to make the rectangle panel clear by adding acetate and cutting another black panel to go over the acetate. I attached Harry to the inside of the card so that he could still be see when the card was closed through the acetate window.

I used the wavy edge from the Outdoor Edges die set to create the ground which I die cut using Transparent Double Sided Adhesive Tape on the front of the card and then covering with Basic Black Silk Microfine Glitter. 

Once I had all this done, I felt that we needed something else to be seen though the acetate window ... after a bit of digging I discovered that I had purchased the Bugaboo Harr eepotter Digital stamp set and the Accessory set. So I printed out the sorting hat and two brooms (one the mirror image of the original). I attached the broom on either side of the acetate so it looks like Harry is carry it when the card is closed. I also added the sorting hat to the top of the card using the spinner die included in the Rectangle Pull Card set. When the card is closed it looks like the hat is on Harry's head and when it opens it is up in the air.

Super Birthday

Hi everyone,

Earlier in the week I posted a card I created for my Grandson's birthday which was a Super Hero theme. Well as I had printed out extra images of the Super Hero digital stamps by Tiddly Inks and I also had a new Card in a Box die sitting on my desk waiting to be used .... it was an easy decision to make a card using both these things!

The 'Zap Pow' images on this card were created using the Stampendous Screwloose and Sparky.

And finally the back of my card. I had printed out this sentiment when I printed out the one for the other card as I wasn't sure which once I wanted until I saw them printed so could see what fitted better. I guess I should have printed the Super Heroes on thicker card so the copics didn't show through ... but this was all left overs ... who knew I was going to make this when I printed the images. Anyway I am sure my Grandson will like it ... yes he may get two cards hahaha! I haven't decided yet!

To A Super Grandson!

Hi everyone,

Can you believe that my Grandson will turn 5 years old this week!!!! It only seems like a few months ago that I posted on my blog that he was born.

His birthday party this year is going to have a Super Hero theme and I know he loves Super Heroes so better excuse to use that as the theme for my birthday card.

For my card I have created a Pull Card using the Rectangle Pull Card die set designed by Karen Burniston for Elizabeth Craft Designs.

To decorate my card I found some fun Super Hero Digital Images from Tiddly Inks web site. 

I cut out two 'Superman logo' images in red and yellow and then added the number 5 in the centre.

Along the bottom of the card I added a City Skyline.

Here is my card when it is 'pulled' open. The sentiment is computer generated, and I added another white panel so I can add a personal message to my Grandson.

The Super Pup is attached to a spinner so that it pops up when the card is opened.

Cloud 9

Hi everyone,

Today I am sharing a card using a new (to me) style of construction card which I found recently on Splitcoast Stampers. This is called a Pinwheel Fun Card, you can find the tutorial here. 

To decorate my card I used Tiddly Inks Cloud 9 Stamp set.

Here is my card when it is opened. I decorated the inside of my card using stamps from the stamp set and my new MISTI.

Happy Birthday

Hi everyone,

Today I have a birthday card to share with you using the Tiddly Inks Birthday Wishes stamp set to create a Flip-its card. I used my new Sizzix Ornate Flip-its #2 die that a friend gave me for Christmas.

For the “flip” side of my centre panel of my card I used a Hero Arts birthday sentiment.

Fairy Merry Christmas

It’s challenge time with the “Crazies” over on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog.This week our challenge hostess for September Cindy Haffner finishes off the month with another fun challenge.

This week Cindy has challenged us to Bows … use bows on your card/project this week.

For my card this week I have made a Gatefold card creating an opening on the front of the card using an ornament die. The image is a cute Christmas Fairy I received free with a magazine and is from Tiddly Ink.

My bow is a paper bow created using a die from MFT. I also added die cut Christmas Trees (Taylored Expressions) and Pine Branches (Impression Obsession).

Here is the inside of my card. The Fairy is mounted using the same ornament die used to cut the hole from the front of my card. I added some pieces of holly to the top of the card and ornaments on each flap. The ornament on the left has the sentiment the other is blank so I can write my message on it to whoever this is to go to.
