Thank You Bouquet

Hi Crafty Friends,

It's challenge time with my friends over on the CCEE Stampers challenge blog. Liz Williams our challenge hostess for the month, finishes off the month with one last challenge.

Apparently March was National Thank You month. So, before the month is over, make a thank you card and send an unexpected thank you to someone whose small act of kindness has not gone unnoticed by you.

For my card today, I decided to say "Thank You" with a bouquet of flowers! I used Karen Burniston's new Woven Basket die set which is a variation on a Pop-up Box Card. The die comes with the pieces to die cut the basket and create the woven effect, the grass, flowers and stems.

I die cut my flowers using various shades of orange cardstock and some orange polka dotted patterned paper, layering them all together. I added Nuvo Drops to the centres of each of the flowers.

Seeing this is for a Thank You challenge, I die cut Karen Burniston's Thank You die from teal cardstock 3 times layering them all together for added strength. I then attached the sentiment to the basket using acetate.

I wan't to play with the new owl from the Feathered Friends die set, so I die cut that and added it so it is peeking out behind the flowers on the front of the basket.

Here you can see my card when it is folded flat ready to be placed in an envelope so it can be mailed.

Next Tuesday (27th February) is Polar Bear Day! For our challenge this week we are to create a card with a polar bear(s), snow or use white as your cards focal color.



For my card this week I used all three of the options for our challenge ... the polar bears, snow and white. I used the Lawn Fawn Beary Happy Holidays Clear Stamp set along with their Scalloped Box Card Pop-Up die set.



 I used some sentiments from a few other stamp sets, to give the card a winter birthday theme. I also used Clear Glitter for the snowy parts of the card.



On the back of the card I used Simon Says Stamp Wonky Rectangles, added some snow banks, the polar bear and a birthday sentiment.



My Scalloped Box Card Pop-up folds flat so it can be placed in an envelope.

Hi Crafty Friends,

Today I have a Pop-up Box card to share with you today, using the Lawn Fawn Scallop Box Card Pop-up die. To decorate my card I used images from Mama Elephant's Rock and Paw Clear Stamp set.

Here is a side on view of my card so you can see the right hand side of the box. 

I just love these cute little musicans ... aren't they just adorable.

I also added a die cut music border towards the back of the box card.

On the back of the card I added a sentiment and music notes from a stamp set from The Stamps of Life.

Happy 4th Birthday

Recently I was given a Tattered Lace Pop Up Box Card die set, so of course I had to play with it. I decided to create a birthday card which probably will be able to be used for my Granddaughter's birthday later this year.

On the back of my card I added a panel for the sentiment and somewhere to write a personal greeting.

Baby Girl

Hi  everyone,

One of my nieces requested a baby card with an elephant theme and purple. This is what I came up with ... a Pop Up Box Card.

I used my Sizzix Card in a Box A2 die for the base of the card and then added the elephant from Wild Rose Studio. To decorate the box I added a few stars and also some sentiments to each of the three sides.

For the stars I die cut them so that there was Transparent Double Sided Adhesive on the front of the card and then covered with either Lavender or Peony Pink Silk Microfine Glitter.

For the back of my card I added a sentiment, a tiny elephant image and a couple more stars.

Super Birthday

Hi everyone,

Earlier in the week I posted a card I created for my Grandson's birthday which was a Super Hero theme. Well as I had printed out extra images of the Super Hero digital stamps by Tiddly Inks and I also had a new Card in a Box die sitting on my desk waiting to be used .... it was an easy decision to make a card using both these things!

The 'Zap Pow' images on this card were created using the Stampendous Screwloose and Sparky.

And finally the back of my card. I had printed out this sentiment when I printed out the one for the other card as I wasn't sure which once I wanted until I saw them printed so could see what fitted better. I guess I should have printed the Super Heroes on thicker card so the copics didn't show through ... but this was all left overs ... who knew I was going to make this when I printed the images. Anyway I am sure my Grandson will like it ... yes he may get two cards hahaha! I haven't decided yet!

Happy Birthday Wishes

It's challenge time with my friends over on the CCEE Stampers challenge blog. Being a brand new month, it is time to introduce a new challenge hostess which this time round is Joanne.

For our challenge this week, Joanne has asked us to Use an embossing folder, brads, and a self-made flower.  You can certainly use dies to create your flowers if you want.

I wanted to play with my new Sizzix Card in a Box die ... and this worked well for the self made flower and the brad. I had to figure out how to incorporate embossing. I guess I could have embossed the basket or the flowers, but in the end I decided to use my Sizzix ShadowPress Sentiment Debossing Folders that I got late last year and hadn't used yet. 

This die set does come with a couple of dies you can create dies with, but I decided to use one of my Elizabeth Craft Designs Flower die sets. I also added the word 'wishes' to the front flap of the box.

Mum!

Hi everyone,

Today I have a Pop Up Box Card which I created recently at a Stamp Club I attend each month. It is funny that both Stamp Clubs I attend monthly had decided to make these as projects. So this is the second I have made as a Stamp Club Project

I have made a few of these in the past and love making them!



At the stamp club we created the Pop Up Box card and decorated it using the designer papers supplied and also adding the flowers. When I came home I added the centres to all the flowers and the sentiments on the front (Mum) which is a die and the back sentiment too.



This Pop Up Box Card was actually made just before Mother’s Day which is why I decided to turn it into a Mother’s Day card … my daughter borrowed it to give to me on Mother’s Day haha! But as she only used a post it note to write on the back I can recycle it and add it to the Christmas Pack I give my other daughter … she needs at least three Mother’s Day cards each year.



Here is the back of the Pop Up Box card, I was crossing my fingers when I stamped the sentiment onto the  back of this already completed card which was getting a little bulky … but luckily the sentiment stamped just fine so I didn’t need to cover it .. phew!

Happy Birthday To You!

My card today is a Pop Up Box Card which I made recently at a club I attend once a month. Our project coordinator for April Joan, gave us all a kit to create the card above. I have made pop up box cards before but it is always fun to make another .

As all materials used on this project were included in a kit organised by Joan I am not sure as to what the products used here are from.

Tea Time!

My card today is a variation of a Sliding Pop Up Box card I posted recently. Eunice who is the owner of the blog A Star for Chemi where I found the instructions for my original posted a couple of cards using this variation back in August and of course I had to try it too.

Apparently this type of card is also know as a Push Pull card. For my card I used La La Land Crafts Tea Time Marci and Tea Time Set.

If you pull on the tabs on the side of the card it will fold flat so it can be mailed.
