Happy Thanksgiving!

Good morning to you all, today I have another card using the Thanksgiving Hanna set which will be released by Hanna Stamps this Friday 5th September.

For this card I used last week's sketch challenge from SCS, which I turned on its side so that I could stamp Hanna on the long panel. I also used the autumn words cuttlebug embossing folder to create the texture to the top river rock panel. I added paper piercing to both top corners of my main image panel.

Join us on the Hanna Stamps member forum of SCS for the release party Thursday 4th September at 9pm EST.... See some great preview peeks and participate in some fun prize challenges.

An Elf and an Appletini!

This is another card I created using the "Merry Christmas" set from MFT stamps. I just love this sentiment ... I am not sure I want the appletini ...but an elf would definitely come in handy haha!

For this card I used Julee's of Poetic Artistry's sketch challenge from a couple of weeks ago.

My card today is for Taylor's of Taylored Expressions Cupcake Challenge ... still no cupcakes on this card as I decided to play with my Stampin' Up stamps instead ... maybe next week I will get my cupcake stamps out again hehe.

This is a similar layout to a card I created earlier in the week ... the main difference is the circle at the bottom of the card which I had been thinking of adding to my other card but ended up not doing ... oh and of course this one is portrait style where the other was landscape.

Best Kitty!

This cat kind of reminds me of my cat ... not so much the color cause my cat is white ... but how it is sitting beside it's empty bowl as if to tell me to fill it up .... which of course I do. If I didn't she would sure let me know about it hahaha!

The stamps used here are from the new "Cat Hanna" set which will be released in a few hours from now. This is a great set for all those cat lovers out there ... even if you aren't a cat lover it is still a great set!

Don't forget to join us this Thursday 4th September in the Hanna Stamps Member Forum for our release party starting at 9pm EST.

Wake Me When It's Christmas!

For the record, I love Christmas .... but I do love this sentiment which comes with this "Merry Christmas" set from MFT stamps which was released yesterday. I am sure there are many people who can relate to that sentiment LOL ... and I guess even for those of us who enjoy all the lead up to Christmas there are times when we all feel a little bit like that haha!

My card today is for this week's MFT sketch challenge over on the MFT members forums of SCS.

I used my swiss dots cuttlebug embossing folder on the river rock panel and the snow dots on the olive panel. The main image was layered using the rectangle nestabilities.

Recipe:
Stamps:
Merry Christmas Set - MFT Stamps
Paper: White; Real Red, Old Olive & River Rock - SU; DP - Basic Grey

An Elzybell Sketch Challenge

I made this card a few weeks ago when I received my first lot of Elzybell Stamps ... which I have been having fun playing with.

This card is for a sketch challenge that the Elzybell Design Team decided to do .... if you would like to see all the cards that everyone did you can see them on the Elzybell blog. We have more challenges in come too and we hope that you might also like to play along with us ... the details of the next challenge can also be found on the Elzybell's blog.

I used my circle nestabilities for my circle layers. The dot background was created using the swiss dots cuttlebug embossing folder ... this is still one of my fav folders. I don't normally use white as a background but as you can see I did for this one and I like it :) .

Recipe:
Stamps: Girl on Swing & Sentiment - Elzybells Art Stamps
Paper: White; Real Red - SU; DP - Unknown
Other: Black Ink; Circle Nestabilities; Swiss Dots Cuttlebug Embossing Folder; Red Brads; Word Window Punch & Oval Punch; Red & Blue Grosgrain Ribbon; Foam Tape; Copics

Jump for Joy ... It's Autumn!

Doesn't Hanna look like she is having soooooo much fun playing in all those autumn leaves! This is just a few of the stamps from the new "Fall Set" which will be released by Hanna Stamps this Friday 5th September.

This is a fairly simple card, I masked Hanna & the leaves so I could sponge on my sky and grass areas. The 3 leaves that are falling around Hanna were stamped on a scrap of white card and then cut out and attached to my card to give them a little more dimension.

Don't forget to join us this Thursday 4th September in the Hanna Stamps Members Forum for our release party starting at 9pm EST.

Rosemary!

My card today is another MFTeaser I have to share with you all. This one uses one of the new Annie LaPoint images .... Rosemary, this is just one of the stamps to be released later today by MFT Stamps.

I used the floral screen cuttlebug embossing folder to create the texture to the white panel at the top of my card. The designer paper is a new one which is also available from MFT Stamps.

My Favorite Things is having a New Release Cocktail Party on Wednesday, Sept. 3 from 9-11 p.m. Eastern time. This month there are SIX new sets being released, plus one from a new line at MFT: BCDzyns.

Paige's Christmas & Some News!

Hi everyone hope you are all enjoying your day. First up I have some news I have been wanting to share with you all week.

I have been asked to be September's Guest Designer for Spiral Whisper, this is a stamp company based in the UK and they have lots of fun stamps. They have also just released a whole heap of new stamps if you haven't seen this company before go check it out ... oh and they also have a blog which has some great card ideas too.

I normally like to have a card using the stamps from the company I am talking about when I tell you things like this, but unfortunately my stamps haven't arrived here yet ... they are on their way and I had hoped they would be here by now but not so far :( .... now if I didn't need them in a hurry they probably would be here already, you know how it goes right. Anyway as soon as I receive them I will get busy and stamp up some cards to share with you.

OK now onto my card I have to share with you today .... I did get in the mail today my Rubber Romance stamps that I ordered about 3 weeks ago ... I didn't think they were gonna make it either arghhhhhh ... but they did! So of course I wanted to play with them so I used this fun Paige sitting on Gift which I have been wanting for some time. I love this stamp and it can be used for any time of the year just by using different colors. As you can see with Christmas only a few months away I decided to make mine a Christmas card.

I stamped my image out 3 times .... 2 times on white card and once on the patterned designer paper. I cut out the present only from designer paper omitting the ribbon and attached that to my base image. Then I also cut out the girl from the other white card I had stamped and attached her over the main image using foam tape so she is raised. When I colored her dress I went back with the clear spica pen to give the dress a glittery look to make it more festive. I added a paper pierced corner to the top left corner of this image and "Merry Christmas" to the right side.

The blue panel down the bottom of the card was embossed using my snow dots cuttlebug embossing folder.

Recipe:
Stamps: Paige on Gift - Rubber Romance; Sentiment - Gina K
Paper: White; Brocade Blue, Kiwi Kiss & Riding Hood Red - SU; DP - Kaiser
Other: Black Ink; Snowdots Cuttlebug Embossing Folder; Red Grosgrain Ribbon; Paper Piercing Tool & Mat; Spiral Brads; Foam Tape; Clear Spica Pen; Copics

Ghostly Greetings!

Today's MFTeaser I have for you features the new Flopsie set from MFT that will be released this Wednesday 3rd September. This Flopsey set is a Halloween one and here you can see how cute Flopsey looks all dressed up as a ghost!

I decided to create another acetate treat box, and my daughter was able to find some candy corn candy to put into my box.

Here is a pic of the top of the box so you can see the little tag I added using the sentiment from this set.

Paper: White; Black; DP - MFT

Before & After!

Hanna Stamps will be releasing 4 new sets this Friday 5th September. The first set I am sharing with you today is a thanks giving set.

Of course living here in Australia, I don't really need to make thanksgiving cards as we do not celebrate Thanksgiving here. However I have had a lot of fun with this set .... I just love how there are before and after images of both a turkey and pumpkin, and the words 'before' & 'after' too. So of course I just had to create a surprise pop up so I could use both of the turkey stamps from this set.

Here is the inside of the card when you pull up the tag at the top of the card!

Join us on the Hanna Stamps member forum of SCS for the release party Thursday 4th September at 9pm EST.... See some great preview peeks and participate in some fun prize challenges.

Moose Lake!

Don't you just love this new Ballet Sophie G stamp!!!!! This is a new stamp to be released in the Riley range of stamps by Hanna Stamps this Friday 5th September. Proceeds from the sale of this stamp will go to the Cancer Foundation.

I called this one Moose lake cause I think this is the Moose version of the ballet Swan Lake ..... LOL!!!!!

I stamped my image 4 times along the white card and colored them. The texture on the background was created using the Script Texture cuttlebug embossing folder, I then sponged pretty in pink SU ink to the raised areas of this background.

Hanna Stamps will be celebrating it’s 1st “Hanna-versary” on 5th October. To celebrate this exciting event Hanna Stamps will be having a 1 month long contest.

For every $50 you spend, throughout the month (1st September to midnight 1st October) your name will go into a drawing, the lucky winner will have their choice of the Copic Air Compressor, or the $200 shopping spree in the Hanna Stamps store.

During our release party on Thursday night Oct 2nd, we will video tape Hanna picking the winning name out of a jar.

We are going to have weekly give aways during the entire month of Sept. So stay tuned here or on the Design teams blogs for these great prize give aways!

Don't forget to join us this Thursday 4th September in the Hanna Stamps Members Forum for our release party starting at 9pm EST.

Rockstar!

I have another MFTeaser to share with you today. MFT Stamps is excited to bring to you a brand new line of stamps by Kim's daughter Brianna Smith, called BC Dzyns. This first set in this line to be released is called Hey Chica, and was created by a brand new illustrator named Chesney Young. Don't you just love it!!!!!! This set along with 6 other sets will be released by MFT Stamps on Wednesday 3rd September.

I used the same designer paper as I used for the background to paper piece the girls dress. I stamped the image on white card and then cut it out using my petite ovals nestabilities ... I extended my paper piecing and coloring down to the bottom of the oval.

My Favorite Things is having a New Release Cocktail Party on Wednesday, 3rd September from 9-11 p.m. Eastern time. Lots of fun is planned including finding out how YOU can be the next MFT Guest Designer. Happy Hoot to You!

Well it seems like I am having an owly type of day today as both cards I have uploaded for you today have owls on them. Well you all know I love owls ... you can never have too many just like stamps ;) .

Today's card is for the challenge I do every Monday with my CCEE friends. This week our challenge is a supply challenge ... this was the one we normally do at the end of the month but as our supplies hadn't reached a few of us last week we changed the challenges around a little. Our supplies for this challenge were sent to us from Tosh ... who sent us the designer paper and also the pearls. We had to use both somehow on our card. The designer paper is actually double sided but I forgot to take a picture of that.

I used the pearls on the worm and the stars around the owl. I added paper piercing to the top corners of my main image.

Don't forget that you can see what all my other CCEE Stamper friends did on our blog here.

Recipe:
Stamps: Owls - Stampavie; Sentiment - CC Designs
Paper: White; Pink; Chocolate Chip - SU; DP - My Mind's Eye
Other: Black Ink; Paper Piercing Mat & Tool; Lace Doily Punch; Flowers; Brown Brad; Rectangle Nestabilities; Brown Grosgrain Ribbon; Foam Tape; Copics

Boo To You!

Happy Monday ... today starts the beginning of the MFTeasers I have to share with you this week, ready for the release of the new stamps by MFT stamps this Wednesday night.

Oh course I am sure it comes as no big surprise to any of you that the first set I am sharing with you all is the one that contains owls .... you all know how much I love owls. It doesn't look like that scarecrow is having much luck scaring anything away from it hehe. This stamps used here are from the new set called "We're Not Scared" and it contains five images including the scarecrow and the two different sized owls. The sentiment is from the new flopsey set which I will share with you later in the week

I used the pumpkin cuttlebug embossing folder to create the embossed background on the pumpkin pie card.

My Favorite Things is having a New Release Cocktail Party on Wednesday, 3rd September from 9-11 p.m. Eastern time. Lots of fun is planned including finding out how YOU can be the next MFT Guest Designer. Head over to the MFT forum on SCS to find out all the details and we hope to see you there on Wednesday night.
