Have A Magical Day!

mft-magical-day-wm

Hi everyone,

I am back with another MFTeaser to share with you today. This time round I am featuring one of the new Pure Innocence stamps that will be released by MFT Stamps on Wednesday 2nd December.

My first card uses the new “Fairy Girl” image … isn’t she a cutie … I am so loving these adorable stamps!!!!!!!! I cut the sentiment into 3 smaller pieces so that I could use it to stamp onto a circle rather one long sentiment. That is the advantage of long sentiments … you can either use them long or cut them up and use that way … it is still good to use long again if I wanted to.

mft-Friendship-wm

Of course I couldn’t leave it at just showing you one card using these sweet little girls. So here is another card I made, this time using “Merry Kissmas”. For this card I used Beate’s Weekend Sketch Challenge for the layout of my card …. I did deviate a little from the original sketch but that was the inspiration for my card.

MFT is releasing not one but 4 new sets this month in the Pure Innocence range and I am sure you will love them all. To see the other stamps in this range don’t forget to visit Kim’s blog any time after 11AM EST to get the list of which Design Team & Guest Design Team members are also featuring this set on their blogs today.

Other: Black Ink; Circle Nestabilities; Label Nestabilities; Label Tag Die; MS Snowflake Punch; Blue Candy Dots; Blue Grosgrain Ribbon; Glitter Glue Circle Punches; MS Floral Vine Deep Edge Punch; Brads; Foam Tape; Copics

Riley’s Searching!

hanna-detective-search-1-wm

Hi everyone,

I have one last Hanna Stamps sneak peek before the release of the new stamps after the release party over on the Hanna Stamps member forum of SCS.

This time round I am using Detective Riley …. isn’t he just soooooo cool! When I saw this week’s weekend sketch challenge over on Beate’s blog over the weekend, I thought it would be fun to use a word search for the centre panel and have riley in the circle. I have a word search stamp which I have had for years so I decided to use that but if you wanted to do something similar you could google “Word Search creator” and you will find another of site that will generate a word search puzzle using words of your choosing.

hanna-detective-search-wm

Here is the inside … I stamped the sentiment “Searching for the Right Words to Say” which is another stamp I have had for years that goes with the word search and then added “Happy Birthday” which is part of Hanna Stamps Greeting set. Going with the word them I decided to use my ABC border punch to create the border on the inside of my card.

Recipe:

Stamps: Detective Riley & Happy Birthday – Hanna Stamps; Word Search & Sentiment – Stamp It

Paper: White; Brown; Sage; DP

Other: Black Ink; Circle Nestabilities; EK Success Border Punch; Foam Tape; Copics

Cops Monkey!

CCEE-copsmonkey-wm

Hi everyone!

Happy Monday …. it is time for another challenge with my CCEE Stamper friends. This week we have another CNFS (Catchy Name Featured Stamper) challenge. This is when we pick someone over on SCS who has a catchy user name and create our cards around that name.

This month as I am the challenge hostess I selected the name “copsmonkey” …. my instructions to the rest of the team was to create a card that had a monkey on it, if they wanted to get creative they could add a cops hat on the monkeys head or wherever.

Now I knew I was gonna be in  BIG trouble with this challenge cause our head cheerleader Tosh does not like monkeys … no way … but I just couldn’t help it, Hopefully by now Tosh has forgiven me!

I used a monkey from High Hopes Stamps to create my card. The layout for this is WSC96 Beate’s Weekend Sketch challenge from the 4th September.

Don’t forget to check out the rest of our cards over on our CCEE Stampers blog which goes live at 12.00 AM.

Recipe:

Stamps: Monkey – High Hopes Stamps

Paper: White; Brown; Olive; Mellow DP – Basic Grey

Other: Black Ink; Label Tag Die; Circle Nestabilities; Brown Grosgrain Ribbon; Foam Tape; Copics

Stamping is My Therapy!

  elzy-stamper-1-wm

Hi Everyone,

Elzybells Art Stamps have a new release this coming Thursday 27th August, so for the next few days I will be sharing with you some cards I have made using some of the stamps that will be available.

The card I am sharing with you today uses stamps from 3 different stamps sets that will be released. On the front of the card I used one of the images & sentiment from the set called “stamp & scrap”. This is a clear set and contains 3 images & 6 sentiments all related to either stamping or scrapping … what fun!

I used the weekend sketch challenge #93 to create my card.

elzy-stamper-2-wm

On the inside of my card I used one of the sentiments from another new set, this time “Stamp & Scrap Sentiments”. This is a collection of 12 different sentiments again relating to stamping or scrapbooking.

elzy-stamper-3-wm

CNFS - Flowergal36

ccee-flowegal36-wm

Hi everyone and Happy Monday!

It’s time for another challenge with my CCEE Stamper friends. This week is our fav CNFS challenge (Catchy Name Featured Stamper) … this is when someone selects a person who has a Catchy user name over on SCS, we then create a card around that name and some of us send the cards on to that person.

This week Charlene selected Flowergal36 for us to use for our CNFS challenge. Charlene’s instructions were that we were to create a card that had flowers on it … big surprise ha! *giggle*

I selected one of my Miss Anya stamps, the one holding a basket of flowers to create my card today … she looks like she could be a flowergal hehe! I also selected a designer paper that contained flowers too … so I think I am well and truly covered!

I used the Weekend Sketch challenge (WSC83) for the layout of my card.

Don’t forget to check out our CCEE Stampers blog to see the rest of the cards the other girls made. You are also more then welcome to play along, details are on our group blog.

A Little Dress Can Change Your Mood!

HSC72 3 little dresses

Hi all!

It is Friday which means it is challenge time for Hanna Stamps over on the Hanna Stamps Member Forums of SCS.

This week it is my friend Cindy Haffner’s turn to host the challenge. Cindy’s challenge is a color challenge with a twist. The colors we had to use were burgundy, pink & black. The twist was to add polka dots or some kind of circle on your card.

I used Hanna Stamps new “5 Little Dresses” set to create my card. The polka dots are from one of DCWV stack packs. The layout for my card is the weekend sketch challenge from 23rd May.

Recipe:

Stamps: 5 Little Dresses – Hanna Stamps

Paper: White; Pink Pirouette, Bravo Burgundy – SU; DP – DCWV

Other: Black Ink; Pink & Burgundy Grosgrain Ribbon; Pink Button; Labels 3 Nestabilities; Foam Tape; Copics

Prettie Wednesday - Need a Cuddle

Hi again everyone!
I am back again tonight with another card to share with you. Two weeks ago Jana Weaver challenged the Prettie Girls to make a card using a new technique you've never tried before.

I decided to go through all my Technique Junkie newsletters to find my technique and found this one called "Spiral Strip" in the October 2008 issue.

When I saw the sketch challenge for the Weekend Sketch challenge on 10th April I thought that would work well with this technique.

I used the "Cuddle Me" stamp set available from Paper Pretties for my card today. I didn't have dark blue ribbon so I used white ribbon that I colored first using my copic markers.

Don't forget to check out the other Design Teams blogs to see there creations this week.
Recipe:
Stamps: Cuddle Me - Paper Pretties
Paper: White; Not Quite Navy & Baja Breeze - SU; Urban Garden DP - SU
Other: Black Ink; Blue Button Brads; Circle Nestabilities; Spiral Punch; Ribbon; Foam Tape; Copics

Nurse Hanna!

Happy Sunday everyone! Well Sunday for some of you others might still be enjoying Saturday depending where you life hehe!

My cards today use another of the stamp sets that will be released by Hanna Stamps this Monday night 6th April. This time round I used "Hospital", this set includes a Hanna image, Anthony, and various hospital related images.

I like that even though Hanna is a nurse here on my card she doesn't look too "nursey" that I couldn't use her on another card that wasn't nurse/hospital related kwim!

The layout for my card above is based on last week's Weekend Sketch challenge.

Here is another card using this stamp set this time using the bandaid included in the stamp, that I stamped randomly all over my white panel. I used the swiss dots cuttlebug embossing folder to add the dots to my caramel card ... it reminded me of the dots on the bandaid.

Recipe:
Stamps: Hospital - Hanna Stamps
Paper: White; Black; Soft Sky & Creamy Caramel - SU; DP - DCWV Adhesive Stack
Other: Black Ink; Swiss Dots Cuttlebug Embossing Folder; Key Tag Punch; Oval Punches; Foam Tape; Copics

I Stink You're Sweet!

Good morning everyone. It is Monday which means it is time for another challenge with my CCEE Stamper friends. This week our challenge was a supply challenge with Tosh supplying the items we needed to create our cards.

Tosh sent each of us the following supplies:
  • Skunk images
  • Floral designer paper
  • Black scallop ribbon
  • Packet sentiment stamps
  • Black Flourish (optional)
Tosh hates monkey images but her friend Laurie taunts her regularly, even to go as far as asking her to hold the sock monkey at CHA so she could take her pictures. Well now is the time to get her own back cause Laurie hates skunks! So Tosh asked us all to make a skunk card and send it to Laurie .... bwahahahahahahahahaha!

We had to use the skunk image, the designer paper, the black scallop ribbon and one of the sentiments from the packet of sentiment stamps to create our cards. I decided to use last week's Beate's Weekend Sketch challenge for my card.

Recipe:
Stamps: Skunk Image - Unknown; Sentiment -
Paper: White; Baja Breeze & Riding Hood Red - SU; DP - Dream Street Papers LLC (Fun&Games - Dress Up)
Other: Black Ink; Circle Nestabilities; Rectangle Nestabilities; Word Window Punch; Label Punch; Label Tag Die; Forest Branches Cuttlebug Embossing Folder

Santa Was Here!

Well not really hehe .... much too earlier for Santa to come yet. I know that down in Australia we are a little ahead of you guys in the Northern Hemisphere time wise but not that far ahead hehe!
And to be honest I am not ready for him to come yet are you??

This card is for Beate's weekend sketch challenge and I got to use my new nestabilities dies that arrived on Friday .... yahhhhhhhhh I have been waiting for these for ages as I am sure lots of other people have too. I am soooooo lucky I pre ordered these because with the downturn in the financial scene that has meant our dollar has devalued down here against the US dollar which means these dies have almost doubled in price yikes!!!!!!!!!!! Lucky I was able to get them for the original price!

I used the labels 2 nestabilites to cut out the owl image. I embossed the olive card using the ornament cuttlebug embossing folder. The circle sentiment is one of the downloadable stamps from The Cutting Cafe ... this one is one of the 1 inch ones, I thought it went well with this cute Santa Owl!

Recipe:
Stamps: Owl - Penny Black; Sentiment - The Cutting Cafe
Paper: White; Real Red & Old Olive - SU; DP - Making Memories
Other: Black Ink; So Saffron SU Ink; Label 2 Nestabilities; Ornament Cuttlebug Embossing Folder; White Gel Pen; Red Grosgrain Ribbon; Red Brads; Foam Tape; Copics

Blog Hopping ... Is that a Problem

Hi guys .... you ready for another MFT blog hop!!!!

If you didn't hop onto my blog from Cindy Haffner's blog then you may want to go to Kim van der sanden's blog and start at the beginning ... once you get to the end of the blog hop ... don't forget to leave a comment on that blog so you are in for a chance for some fabulous blog candy.

I made this card a few weeks ago for my daughter's birthday ... but as the stamps I used here were not being released until later today (Wed 19th November) I couldn't share it with you all until now. I just love this new BC Dzyns new set called "and then I said" which will be available for sale through MFT Stamps. The set is designed with teenagers in mind however I think it has a much wider appeal than that ... my daughter is in her 30's and it suited her so well I just had to use it.

Don't you just love the sentiment ... this set has lots of fun sassy sentiments ... to make this one fit in for a birthday card I used my computer to create a saying for inside the card which said "that you're getting older? Happy Birthday". Thanks to my friend Kim who helped me out with the inside greeting.

I used the traffic jam cuttlebug embossing folder to add texture to the red base panel. The layout of this card was for one of Beate's weekend sketch challenges.

Don't forget to continue on with the blog hopping fun you will need to leave my blog and head on over to Jessie Rone's blog. Enjoy your blog hopping journey!

Recipe:
Stamps: And then I said - BC Dzyns
Paper: White; Black; Real Red & Taken with Teal - SU; DP - Unknown
Other: Black Ink; Paper Piercing Mat & Tool; Circle Nestabilities; Traffic Jam Cuttlebug Embossing Folder; Black Brads; Black Grosgrain Ribbon; Foam Tape; Copics

Turn Your Radio On And Listen To The Music!

Turn your radio on and listen to the music ........... I have that song singing in my head now LOL!

This card is for this week's Beate's weekend sketch challenge .... and I am again using some of my neglected stamps today ... this time it is a Rubber Romance stamp. The music you see coming up from the radio is actually part of a Stamp It stamp I own that I masked before inking so I would only get the one line of it .... it seemed just right to accompany this Rubber Romance stamp don't you think!

The sentiment is one I created using my computer ... not sure if that is a radio or just a CD player but it is a radio for this card anyway ... and when I was trying to find a suitable sentiment that song came in my head which I thought would make a perfect sentiment for my card.

Recipe:
Stamps: Courtney - Rubber Romance; Music In The Air - Stamp It (Aust)
Paper: White; Black; Purely Pomegranate & Bordering Blue - SU; DP - Unknown
Other: Black Ink; Circle Nestabilities; Circle Punches; Scallop Circle Punch; Foam Tape; Copics

Hi guys and welcome to a brand new month ... wow November already ... you know what that means right .... not all that long till Christmas, yikes!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My card today is for Beate's weekend sketch challenge .... now you all know I am an owl lover so of course I had to buy this stamp a while back and thought it was about time I actually used it LOL! I just love it!!!!!!!!!! I love Beate's sketch too of course.

I used my circle nestabilities to create my circle layers ... the top and bottom of the green card have been punched using the Martha Stewart Lace Doily Punch. I added red brads along the top and bottom edge of the designer paper.

Recipe:
Stamps: Owl (Greetings from the Wise) - Penny Black; Sentiment - Papertrey Ink
Paper: White; Real Red & Always Artichoke - SU; Wassail DP - Basic Grey
Other: Black Ink; Lace Doily Punch; Circle Nestabilities; Red Brads; Red Grosgrain Ribbon; Foam Tape; Copics

Celebrate the Season Christmas Owl!

Yesterday was such a busy day for me that I didn't get a chance to stamp! So I just couldn't wait to get some done today and get to play with the sketch challenges I normally do on the weekends. I received this owl from Spiral Whisper on Friday so of course I couldn't wait to use it!

My card today uses Beate's weekend sketch challenge ... I stamped the owl twice, once on white card and once on soft sky card ... I used liquid applique to give a snowy effect to the snowflakes and branch. I cut out the owl from the white card and attached it over the soft sky image using foam tape.

Recipe:
Stamps: Christmas Owl - Spiral Whisper; Sentiment - Papertrey Ink
Paper: White; Black; Real Red & Soft Sky - SU; DP - My Mind's Eye
Other: Black Ink; White Liquid Applique; Snowflake Cuttlebug Die; Circle Punches; Scallop Border Punch; Foam Tape; Copics

Hi ya! Hope you are all enjoying your weekend. My card today is for Beate's weekend sketch challenge. When I saw the circles I decided to make my card to match the Mini Pizza Box I created last week and posted here on Friday ... you can find it here. I thought it would be fun to have them both matching ... now I can give someone the card and the box with their gift in it.

Recipe:

Paper: White; Pretty In Pink & Rose Red - SU; DP - Basic Grey

Thomas the Tank!

Happy World Card Making Day! I know that might seem a little early for those of you living in the Northern Hemisphere ... but for me it is already Saturday which means it is already World Card Making Day!

I managed to get a couple of cards made today, the Thomas the Tank card being one of them. This is for Beate's Weekend Sketch challenge. A friend of mine sent me the new Thomas the Tank stamps recently that are available from Cornish Heritage Farms ... as she knew how much I wanted/needed them LOL. So of course I had to play with them.

Recipe:
Stamps: Thomas the Tank Stamps - Cornish Heritage Farms
Paper: White; Black; Real Red, Basic Gray & Pacific Point - SU
Other: Black Ink; Black Brads; Red Brads; Foam Tape; Copics
