Rose for You!

This week's sketch is very different to some of our other sketch we have had on SCS. Lots of shapes in this one what with a circle, a triangle and the rectangle shape of the card. I decided to use the rose which I also used in last weeks sketch challenge, however this time round I 3D'd it.

I stamped the rose 3 times on white card, the first time I stamped it I masked the rose and stamped the leaves. The 2nd time I stamped the rose only and the 3rd time I again stamped the rose only but I cut out only the inner portion of the rose. Once I had colored and cut out all the roses I gave them a little shape and then layered them together.

The celery circle and triangles are both stamped with the leave background by Cornish Heritage Farms. I also used the cuttlebug swirl embossing folder to create some texture to the circle portion of the card. Both pieces were then layered to the rose red card. I have been using brads a lot for the past few months ignoring my stash of eyelets. But today I decided I wanted to use my eyelets, mainly because I also wanted to try out my new crop-a-dile I received today. I might have gone a little overboard with those eyelets and possibly the eyelets around the circle could have been a little closer to the edge but they are there now so that's it!
