World’s Greatest Teacher!

CCEE1039-PPTeacher-wm

Hi everyone,

It’s time for another challenge with my friends over on the CCEE Stampers challenge blog. This month I have been hosting the challenge and this week’s challenge is my last as hostess this time round. The challenge is a sketch challenge, which of course  is my favorite type of challenge.

As you can see by looking at the sketch below, I actually flipped the sketch so I could use it with one of Paper Pretties new stamps that were released last week. This one is called Thanks Teacher Sophia.

CCEE1039-PPTeacher2-wm

Here is the inside of my card, I used the EK Success ABC Border punch to create my border. The sentiment is created using the sentiments from the Thanks Teacher Sophia set.

Witching You A Happy Halloween!

PWC121-Witch-Sophie-wm

Hi all,

It’s Wednesday which means it’s time for another Pretties Wednesday Challenge over on the Paper Pretties Blog. This week the challenge was to use an animal print or texture on our card or project.

My card today uses the new Paper Pretties Witch Sophia … doesn’t she look spooktacular!!!!!! I love her!!!! I decided to use a spider web as my animal texture …. I know some people will say a spider isn’t an animal … but if you divide all living things into either plant or animal then it has to come under animal right! Of course the spider web works perfectly with this cute witch image.

The layout of my card uses this week’s Mercy’s Tuesday Sketch challenge (MTSC93)

PWC121-Witching2-wm

Here is the inside of my card using another of the sentiments included in the set. I also added the spider web bordered created by a Martha Stewart Border Punch.

Want to play along with us:

How to Enter: If you would like to play along with us, all you have to do is create a card/project using the above challenge and upload it to your blog and/or to your SCS Gallery using the keyword PWC121.

Don’t forget to include link to your card on the Paper Pretties Blog, so everyone can see it too. You don’t have to use Paper Pretties stamps to play, but of course if you have them we would love to see you use them. Merry Kissmas!

MFT-Circle-Box3-wm

Hi all,

Today the MFT Stamps Design Team are getting together for a special Digital Designs Day. MFT Stamps will be releasing a number of Digital products today which include:

  • Halloween Dotty Papers
  • Bird House Template
  • Full Circle Treat Box Template
  • All-Season Wagon Template
  • Pumpkin Box Template

MFT-Circle-Box2-wm

For my project today I decided to use the new Full Circle Treat Box Template which was created by Jen del Muro. All the templates being released today come in all the popular cutting machine file types as well as the PDF version for those who don’t have a cutting machine.

One of the fun things about using the templates with a cutting machine is that you can change the size to whatever your needs are. I enlarged mine so that the long side panel measured approx 11 1/2 inches.

MFT-Circle-Box-wm

I used the Pure Innocence Merry Kissmas stamp set to decorate the top of my box. I also added the snowflakes to my box,  these were created using the new Snowflake Trio Die-namics die which was included in the VIP kit this month. It will be available for purchase on Wednesday 6th October.

Hope, Peace, Joy!

SBS-Anne-wm

Hi everyone,

Recently the stamp club I belong to held our first shoebox swap. We all had to create a card or project using a Christmas theme and include enough materials for each of the club members to re-create that card.

I showed you my card two week’s ago, so now I am starting to share with you some of the cards I created from that shoebox swap. My first one was designed by fellow club member Anne. The bird is actually a spellbinders die.

Stamps: Unknown
Paper: Green; DP – Kaisercraft

It’s All About the Bling!

C4C56-DancingWillow-wm

Hi all,

It’s Saturday which means it’s challenge time with the “Crazies” over on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog.

Joycelyn Pelkey brings us her final challenge for the month which is Bling – use glitter, diamonds, pearls…. make those cards sparkle.

For my card this week, I got to play with some new toys. The image is one of the new Whiff Of Joy stamps released earlier in the month. It is stamped onto one of the new Spellbinders Label 14 dies. The designer paper is from the Pyrus pad from Basic Grey and finally the flowers in the top corner of the card. What fun!

For my bling I added rhinestones to the girls necklace and bangle. It is hard to tell my the photo but the rhinestones are actually yellow. I also used my gold Spica pen to color in the bangle on her hand and her purse and finally I also added glitter glue to the flowers and leaves. In real life this sparkles!!!!!!!! Unfortunately it is not always easy to capture that on camera.

C4C56-DancingWillow2-wm

Here is the inside of my card, I used a scrap of the designer paper to add a decorative layer to the bottom of my card.

Don't forget to check out the rest of the “Crazies” cards over on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog and also their individual blogs for more details.

Stamps: Dancing Willow – Whiff Of Joy
Paper: White; Red; Green’ Pyrus DP – Basic Grey
Other: Black Ink; Labels 14 Die; Grosgrain Ribbon; MS Daisy Border Punch; Button; Rhinestones; Bird Punch; Flowers; Foam Tape; Copics

Hi everyone and welcome to my blog. It time to join the Paper Pretties Design Team our Paper Pretties New Release Blog Hop!!.

All the Design Team members are giving away a set of stamps from this release as blog candy … so don’t forget to comment on everyone’s blog when you hop around.

PP-Old-Bird-wm

For my projects today, I am using the new Wicked Old Bird set …. I am the old bird on the Design Team after all. I wasn’t sure that I wanted to take the title of wicked … but looking up the dictionary while I was writing up this blog post there is newer nicer meaning these days…. I could live with that one bwahahahahahahaha!

Anyway back to my card … the layout is from a recent Mojo Sketch challenges (Mojo155). I used my airbrush to create the clouds on my circle which are grey seeing this is a Halloween card.

PP-Old-Bird2-wm

Here is the inside of my card, I combined two of the sentiments included in the set. I can see that this might be fun to use for an aged birthday card too maybe hehe!

PP-Old-Bird-Doorhanger-wm

The second part of my project today is a door hanger which has a pocket so that you can put some sort of treat in it. Don’t those green fingers poking out of my hanger look spooky!!!!

PP-Old-Bird-Doorhanger2-wm

Here is another view of my door hanger so you can see it side on. These are pretty easy to make … just make up your basic door hanger and then create a box to go on the bottom of the hanger … you can vary the width depending on what you want to put in it.

Well that is about it from me for today, to continue on your journey you need to hop on over to Jackie Rakoski’s blog.

Enjoy the rest of the hop and thanks for dropping by! Don't forget to leave comments on all the blogs for your chance to win some blog candy.

Riley-Pumpkin-Card-wm

I love creating shaped cards so when I saw this cute Pumpkin Riley I knew I had to make a pumpkin shaped card. Earlier in the year I purchased the Spellbinders Pumpkin nestabilities which I finally got to play with to create today’s projects.

Riley-Pumpkin-Box-wm

I also decided to create a pumpkin shape box to go with my pumpkin shaped card, and to use for some Halloween treats.

Riley-Pumpkin-Box2-wm

Here is another view of my pumpkin box…. this time round you can see all the goodies inside it.

Riley-Raking-wm

For my second card today I decided to use Riley Raking Leaves … one of the prettiest things about fall is all the different colored leaves which unfortunately we don’t get where I live. I added sewing to all the layers using my sewing machine and also added some leaf buttons to the corners of the image layer.

Well that is about it from me for today, now it is time to hop on over to the sensational Cathy Edgar and see what stunning creations she has install for you today.

I’m Sorry!

PP-Horse-CCEE-wm

Hi all!

It’s Thursday which means it is time for another challenge with my friends over on the CCEE Stampers challenge blog. This month it is my turn to host the challenges and this week I am continuing to get my inspiration from the September Holidays & Special Days site.

Did you know that the bandaid was invented on the 22nd September 1920. I didn’t until I went looking for ideas for this month’s challenges. So this week our challenge is to create a Get Well cards!

Now my card doesn’t have a bandaid on it but it is a get well card. I wanted to use another of the new Paper Pretties sets that are going to be released on tomorrow Friday 24th September. This set is called Horsin’ Around…. wouldn’t he cheer anyone up!

PP-Horse-CCEE2-wm

This Horsin’ Around stamp set comes with a number of fantastic sentiments, however I needed something to tie it into this week’s Get Well theme so I created this one using my computer.

    Fall Fun!

    PWC120-Fall-Cooper-wm

    Hi everyone,

It’s time for another Pretties Wednesday Challenge over on the Paper Pretties Blog. This week our challenge is Ribbon Mania …. to use 3 ribbons on our card.

For my card today I used the new Fall Cooper which is one of the new sets to be released this Friday 24th September. I used a recent SFYTT sketch from 4th September for the layout of my card.

Ok to the ribbon … I colored some twill ribbon yellow which you can see underneath the polka dot ribbon. The third piece of ribbon is attached to a spiral clip and placed on the main image.

    PWC120-Fall-Cooper2-wm

Here is the inside of my card, I used the leaves and one of the sentiments which are included in the set. The border was created using the EK Success Leaf Border Punch.

Want to play along with us:

How to Enter: If you would like to play along with us, all you have to do is create a card/project using the above challenge and upload it to your blog and/or to your SCS Gallery using the keyword PWC120.

  • Count Dracu-Riley & Franken-Riley

    Riley-Frankenstien2-wm

    Hi everyone,

It’s day 2 of the sneak peeks of the new Riley stamps that will be released by Riley and Company, this coming Thursday 23rd September.

Today I am featuring the new “Franken-Riley”, …. doesn’t he look spooky hehe!

For my project today I decided to create a gable box to hold some Halloween treats, liked these severed finger chocolate treats I used here.

    Riley-Frankenstien-wm

Here is another view of my Franken-Riley Gable box …. see the cute little bat brads I found recently!

Riley-DracuRiley-wmFor my second project today, I would like to introduce to you ….. Count Dracu-Riley … another spooky character!  For this one I decided to create a coffin box, I created one of these a few years back but this time round I scaled it down to suit the image I was using.

    Riley-DracuRiley3-wm

I decided to add some blood around the sides of the coffin, to fit in with the fact that this was Count Dracu-Riley. The edges of the box are sponged using white ink.

    Riley-DracuRiley4-wm

Here is my box with the lid off … I have attached a sentiment to a piece of concertina card so that it pops up when the lid is removed. This sentiment comes from the Moose Sayings 1 set …   the sentiment actually continues to say Moosequito as the answer to this riddle …. but it also fits in very well with this image don’t you think.

The rest of the Riley and Company Design Team will also be sharing their cards they have created with you this week, so don’t forget to check them out too.

I will be back again tomorrow with another sneak peek to share with you all. Don’t forget the Riley & Company Blog hop which will be held on Thursday 23rd September starting at 10 PM EST.

Stamps: Franken-Riley; Count Dracu-Riley; Moose Sayings 1 – Riley and Company
Paper: White; Black; Purple; Red; DP

For my card today, I decided to use the new WTG Winter in the City WTG set to create a T Slider card. You can find directions on how to create these in the resource section of SCS.

The dog is included in the set as an individual stamp so you have the option as to whether to include him or not … as you can see I decided to include it.

    MFT-Winter-City2-wm

You might notice two Die-namic dies used on this card, the first is the new Let It Snowflake Die-namics die which is included in the VIP kit if you purchase it today. It will then not be available for purchase until the release on October 6th. For the snowflakes I used white glitter cardstock and then used my copic airbrush to color them blue and brown.

The second die-namics die used here is the Framed Greeting Die-namics. I used it for the tab on the right hand side of my card.
