Hi Crafty Friends,
It's challenge time with my friends over on the CCEE Stampers challenge blog. Lois Bak our challenge hostess for the month continues to issue the challenges.
Apparently Yesterday was National Hot Dog Day. Make a card using something you would have at a picnic – a hot dog, a hamburger, a checkered tablecloth, or maybe some ants!
I decided at the beginning of the month to incorporated the challenges with Slimline Cards which is what I have done again today. I used Trinity Stamps Slimline Stitched Card Panels and Windows die set for the main panel on my card.
When I looked at the theme for this challenge, I remembered the cute Lili of the Valley stamp of the dog running of with the sausages ... I thought those could be hot dogs and would also work with another Lili of the Valley stamp the bear barbecuing. To make the two different sized images work together I decided to create a portrait style Slimline card and used Lawn Fawn's Grassy Hillside Stencils to add the grassy areas of the card.
I always need male birthday or Father's Day cards, so decided to use this one for a Father's Day card. I used Lil' Inker Designs D@d die for the sentiment and also the stamped sentiment from Waffle Flower.
I inked up another panel the same as the one on the front. I then used the ants from Lawn Fawn's Happy Summer stamp set and added the different food items from Lawn Fawn's Let's BBQ stamp set.
I used Karen Burniston's Katherine Label Pop-up die set for the sentiment at the top of the card. As this is a Slimline Card, which means it is narrower than a normal card, I turned the label from the die set on it's side

I agree with Kelly. Such fun images for this cute card. Your Slimline cards have just given you more space to highlight these darling images.
