Wheeeeeeeeeee!

MFTWSC010610-Whee-wm

Hi everyone,

Have you heard of the Wednesday Stamp Club over on the MFT Stamps Member Forum of SCS???

Each Wednesday, (with the exception of the week prior to the release for the next Guest Designer contest) someone from Team MFT will post an idea, project, sample or more to inspire our creativity. On the 1st Wednesday of each month Cindy Haffner and I will be bringing you our sketch challenge … yahhhhhhhh!

To get things started I have designed the first sketch, I hope you like it.

For my card I used one of the new Pure Innocence sets that are due for release later tonight Wednesday 6th January by MFT Stamps. This set is called “Start the Day with Whee!”, this set was inspired by Kim’s daughter Emma who loves to swing. I added 3 of the brown glittered garnishes from the Chocolate Kiss Glittered Garnish Adornment set to the top right hand side of my large circle.

MFTWSC010610-Whee-in-wm

Here is the inside of my card, using the sentiment that is also included in the set.

Today the MFT Design team are featuring 2 new stamp sets that are due to be released. These are “Bling ‘Bers” and “Make the Date”. I am sure you will find these both fantastic additions to your stamp collection.

For my card today I have used “Bling ‘Bers”, this set contains numbers and various sentiments that will work with the numbers. I made my card into an aged birthday card …. for a 4 year old! Of course I also used another new stamp set on my card, this is another set from the Pure Innocence range that we featured yesterday and this one is called “Boy & Dog” …. aren’t they both adorable.

Pure Innocence!

MFT-umbrellaPI-wm

Hi everyone,

I have two more MFTeasers to share with you all today in readiness of the MFT Stamps new release to be held this coming Wednesday 6th January.

Today the MFT Design team are featuring the “Pure Innocence” range, there will actually be 5 Pure Innocence stamps sets that will be released this week!

MFT-umbrellaPI2-wm

My first card today features “My Umbrella” … isn’t she adorable! I purchased some rain themed designer paper a few months back so I decided to use that to create my card, which is a gatefold card.

I paper pieced the umbrella, the raincoat and boots using the designer paper. For the buttons on her raincoat I used MFT Stamps Baby Braddies – Summer Collection … these are a perfect size for her coat.

I also added 3 of the blue Glittered Garnishes from the Glittered Garnish – Summer pack.

MFT-UmbrellaPI3-wm

Here is the inside of my card, using the other sentiment that comes with the stamp set.

Recipe:

Stamps: My Umbrella – MFT Stamps

Paper: White; Blue; Dark Blue; DP

Other: Black Ink; Deckle Rectangle & Rect Nestabilities; Modern Label Tag & Die; Summer Glittered Garnishes; Baby Braddies Summer Collection; Foam Tape; Copics

MFT-Easter-Egg-Basket1-wm

For my second project today I used the “My Basket of Egg's” set. As you can see I created an Easter Egg Basket using a template I found online.

MFT-Easter-Egg-Basket3-wm

Of course I don’t have any Easter Eggs right now so I filled my basket with chocolates instead!

A Walk In The Country!

alota-TECC96-wm

Hi everyone,

I managed to get to play around with some new stamps I received recently from Alota Rubber Stamps on the weekend. This is one of the cards I created using two of the new stamps designed by fellow Design Team Member Birgit Edblom.

The stamps I used for this card are called “Klara Standing/Overalls” and “Country Road Oval”.

TESC96

As you can see I used Taylors Expressions Sketch Challenge TESC#96 for the layout of my card. Instead of using a circle I used the oval country road image, and instead of using the rectangle I used Klara which I cut out.

Don’t forget that you can receive 20% discount when you order from Alota Rubber Stamps .... all you have to do is use the coupon code: FBDTCHAL when you place your order. You can use this coupon code as many times as you like throughout January.

Here Today … Gone Today!

MFT-Here-today-wm

Hi everyone,

Are you ready for day two of MFTeasers! Today the MFT Stamps Design team are featuring two sets that will be released this coming Wednesday night 6th January by MFT Stamps. The sets are “Who’s That Chocoholic?” which is a mini set with WTG, and “Clearly Sent About Chocolate which contains sentiments relating to chocolate … all sounds yummy right!

The image and the sentiment you see on the front of my card is from the “Who’s That Chocoholic” WTG mini set. Doesn’t that drippy goo border punch look like melting chocolate!!!!!!!!

MFT-Here-today-in-wm

I just love the fun sentiments included in both sets, and this one from the “Clearly Sent about Chocolate” set is no exception … should that be one of our new years resolutions do you think?????

Would you like to see more ideas using this set??? Then hop on over to Kim’s (MFT Lady) blog to see the list of which design team members will be featuring a card/project on their blog today. Kim will have the list posted to her blog at 11am EST.

Thinking of Hoo!

MFT-Thinking-Hoo-Notebook-w

Hi everyone,

The beginning of the month is always exciting because it means that shortly there will be new stamps available from MFT Stamps. I always love being able to prepare my samples and show what is coming in the not too distant future.

Today the MFT Stamps Design Team start the beginning of our MFTeasers featuring the set “Thinking of Hoo?”, this set will be released this coming Wednesday 6th January.

Now you have to know that I *Heart* this set!!!!! No big surprise seeing I love owls! So for my MFTeaser today I decided to make something special using this set that I can get to keep for myself, so I decided to alter a notebook I had purchased recently.

The owl in the set is actually like the one at the top but I wanted to add more owls to my book so I stamped the owl and branch a second time leaving some room at the right hand side so that I could extend the branch a little and then I stamped just the owl and cut that out and attached it to the branch.

Don’t forget to visit Kim’s blog any time after 11AM EST to get the list of which Design Team members are also featuring this set on their blogs today.

Happy New Year!!!!!

alota-in-a-pinch2-wm

Hi everyone and Happy 2010, I hope this year brings you all good things!

With the new year comes a new challenge over on the Alota Rubber Stamps Paper Craft Planet Group. This week the challenge is hosted by Helene. Helene’s challenge is “In this little box” …. I love creating boxes so this was a pretty easy challenge for me.

You have two weeks from today to participate in this challenge and you also have a chance of winning some wonderful stamps if you card/project is selected randomly from all the entries received.

Would you like to receive 20% discount when you order from Alota Rubber Stamps .... all you have to do is use the coupon code: FBDTCHAL when you place your order. You can use this coupon code as many times as you like throughout January.

I hope this one doesn’t look too Christmassy cause it wasn’t meant to but I just wanted to use one of Alota’s new stamps … this one is called “Klara Skating”, and it worked well with this snow paper I downloaded and I really thought the red was pretty so that was the color I went with.

alota-in-a-pinch-wm The box is a template I downloaded from Lauren Meader’s new shop just before Christmas and is called a Pinch Box. That is also where I got the snow paper too …. it comes in a number of different colors ready for you to print out to use on your projects.

Recipe:

Stamps: Klara Skating – Alota Rubber Stamps

Paper: White; Red; Digital Paper – My Time Made Easy

Other: Black Ink; Oval Nestabilities; In A Pinch Box Template; MS Deep Edger; White Ribbon; Foam Tape; Copics
