Happy 4th July!

Riley-RWB-wm

Hi all!

It’s that time again when the Riley and Company Design Team members get together to play a challenge using our Riley stamps … love challenge day!

This week it is Therese Boyd’s turn to host the challenge. Therese has challenged us to use the colors of our countries flag on our cards. Now even though I live in Australia, I had to use the colors red, white and blue as those are the colors of our Australian flag.

There isn’t an Aussie Riley but I know the 4th July is just around the corner so I wanted to play with “Liberty Riley” …. isn’t he a cutie!

Riley-RWB2-wm

Some of you might have noticed that I have made another of those Magical Marquee cards where the message moves when the card is open. I did warn you last week I would have more … I really love creating these cards right now.

Riley-RWB3-wm

Here is my card when it is open … you can see the “4th July” sentiment peeking out in the centre there.

Don’t forget to check out the rest of the Design Teams blogs today so see what they created for this challenge.

Thinking About You!

TGF-Dinosaurs-wm

Hi all,

My card today uses this cute little boy playing with the dinosaurs from TGF. Isn’t he adorable … now that I have a Grandson I can’t get enough boy stamps hehe, I have only ever had daughters before so this is gonna be totally different. What little boy doesn't love dinosaurs.

I stamped the boy on my card and also on some photocopy paper so I could create a mask of cooper which I placed over him while I airbrushed the clouds. I used MFT Stamps Die-namics cloud die to create the masks for the clouds.

Stamps: Oh Happy Days – The Greeting Farm; Sentiment – Waltzing Mouse Stamps
Paper: White; Black; Green; Digital DP – The Digi Chick
Other: Black Ink; Oval Punches; Green Grosgrain Ribbon; MFT Stamps Die-namics Cloud Die; Black Button; MS Layered Arches Border Punch; Foam Tape; Copic Airbrush; Copics

Of course I had to come home and play with my new toys. I used a recent Taylored Expressions Sketch challenge (TESC116) for the layout of my card.

The sentiment is from MFT Stamps PI – Lollypop Girl.

Sunny Wishes!

CCEE1025-Sunny-Wishes-wm

Hi everyone and welcome to my blog.

Today is Thursday so that means it is challenge time with my friends over on the CCEE Stampers challenge blog. This week our challenge hostess for the month, Shirley Quarry has given us another fun challenge.

Being that it is summer time in the Northern Hemisphere right now, Shirley challenged us to create a Summer Card with flowers or floral ribbon (or both if you like)

Well summer time for me reminds me of the beach so I decided to use that theme for my card and used one of the new beached themed stamps I received recently from Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps.

The cloud background was created using MFT Stamps Die-namics cloud die. I die cut a few cloud shapes using masking paper and then placed them randomly over my white card and then use my copic airbrush to add the blue over them … once I removed my masks I had my sky complete with clouds.

The sun at the top left hand corner is another of MFT Stamps Die-namics Dies, this time the Sun Die which comes as two pieces. I used the pointy part for my sun and added a button over the top.

The layout of my card uses a recent The Sweet Stop Sketch (SSS58)

Don’t forget to check out the CCEE Stampers blog (goes live 12 AM EST) to see the rest of the creations the CCEE Stampers created this week. You can also see more details of their creations on their individual blogs:

Stamps: Mae; Kimmie’s Beachy Sentiments – Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps
Paper: White; Cream; Brown; Green; DP

Fun In The Sun!

MFTBeach-wm

Hi everyone and happy Wednesday!

Wednesday’s mean it is time for  MFT Stamps Wednesday Stamp club over on the MFT Stamps Member Forum of SCS.

This week the challenge is Felt, Cork and Fabric - use felt, cork or fabric, or even all three. I decided to split the difference and use two of these items on my card … the felt I used for the clouds and the cork of course is for my sand and the sandcastles, both these items are available from the MFT Stamps store.

I used four of MFT Stamps Die-namics to create my card these include:

  • Cloud Trio Die
  • Scalloped Scallop Die
  • Sunshine Die
  • Ric Rac Die

I used MFT’s Pure Innocence - Beach Bum stamp set to create my card. I paper pieced the girls togs using designer paper.

Here is the inside of my card, I used the sentiment from the PI – Beach Bum stamp set and also the Die-namics Ric Rac Die.

For The Birthday Princess!

Magnolia-trio-wm

Hi all!

I have been playing with my new Magnolia stamps again, that I purchased at a recent stamp show. I have also been having fun playing with a few new construction cards and boxes.

Magnolia-gatefold2-wm

First up I have a card that is called the Magical Marquee card that I learnt recently, funny enough this is also this week's technique challenge over on SCS, but I actually have had this card made for over a week LOL! You can find a tutorial on how to create one of these on Jan Tinklenberg's blog …. here you can see my card closed and it shows the “For a Birthday Princess” sentiment in the front.

Magnolia-gatefold3-wm

Open up the card and the sentiment disappears and you have a birthday cake!

I have been having lots of fun with this card so don’t be surprised if you see a few more of them in the next few weeks!

Magnolia-postit-wm

My second project is a post it note holder booklet to match my card.

Magnolia-postit2-wm

Here is my post it note booklet open. The tab at the top of the post it note book was created using my curly label punch …. just line up the brackets when you are punch and punch on either edge of the card and you get this fabulous tab you can use to close your book.

Magnolia-box-wm

And finally a box … I call this a collapsible box for want of a better name … not sure if it has any other name as it is something I saw recently that a friend received.

Magnolia-box3-wm

Here is another view of my box. The brad helps keep the box closed.

Magnolia-box2-wm

And finally here is my box opened, it will actually fold flat if you wanted it too but I didn’t take a photo of that.

Stamps: Princess Tilda – Magnolia Stamps
Paper: White; Pink; Dark Pink; Yellow; DP
Other: Black Ink; Circle Punch; Scallop Circle Punch; Flowers; Scorpal; Glitter Glue; Word Window Punch; Curly Label Punch; Brad; Foam Tape; Copics

Hey Look No Stamping!

SU-todo-wm

Happy Sunday everyone,

Yes that’s right … my project today contains no stamping not even a sentiment … although I may end up added something like “Notes” or “To Do” to it at some stage depending on who I end up giving this to.

I needed to create a project to do with a group of friends recently so this is what I came up with. I wanted to use the new Bird Punch from Stampin’ Up which I just had to have and hadn’t got round to using other then for the leaves. So I decided to create another notebook holder/to do list.

SU-todo2-wm

Here is the inside … the folded pocket allows you to pop in things like receipts, coupons etc.

Paper: White; Light Blue; Dark Blue; DP
Other: Black Ink; Oval Nestabilities; Bird Punch; Blue Grosgrain Ribbon; Green Button

A Cup Of Good Wishes!

C4C42-Cup-Wishes-wm

Happy Saturday everyone!!!!!!

Saturday’s mean it is challenge time with the “Crazies” over on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog. This week our challenge hostess is Mercy Kerin, who has given us another fun challenge. Mercy challenge us to use paper flowers we have created on our cards.

For my card this week I used a stamp from Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps which is called “Gabrielle” and I also used the new designer paper out this month from Kaisercraft …. I always look forward to a new month so I can see what designer paper they have in stall for us each month. This little girl kind of reminds me of Alice In Wonderland (I know she isn’t really) and the keys and locks on the designer paper underneath her also reminded me of that story … I seem to remember a key and lock in there somewhere!

The layout used on my card is a SFYTT sketch from 5th June.

To create my flower I used my scallop circle punch and punched out 5 blue shapes, scrunched up all the scalloped circles and then added brown ink over the textured areas created when I scrunched up each circle. I then layered them all together and added a corduroy brad in the centre which I colored black.

C4C42-Cup-Wishes2-wm

Here is the inside of my card, the panel my sentiment is on … comes in the 6 x 6 designer paper book. The sentiments used on my card are both from Kraftin’ Kimmies Tea Sentiments.

Don't forget to check out the rest of the “Crazies” cards over on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog and also their individual blogs for more details.

Stamps: Gabrielle; Kimmie’s Tea Sentiments – Kraftin’ Kimmies Stamps
Paper: White; Black; Blue; Le Chateau DP – Kaisercraft

My card today uses another of the new sports themed stamps which was released by Alota Rubber Stamps earlier in the week. This one is called “Football Boy”.I wanted to use one of the new sports themed background type stamps that was also released… for this one I used the football field stamp. It is much larger then you see on my card but as I wanted something other than a rectangle on my card I cut part of it off.

Hi everyone!

It is time for another challenge with my friends over on the CCEE Stampers challenge blog. This week our challenge hostess for June, Shirley Quarry has given us a fun sketch to use …. now you all know I love sketch challenges *smile*.

My card is a tall card because I wanted to use this cute little girl from the “Cindy & Mindy” range over on Kraftin’ Kimmies Stamps. She fits perfectly in my long oval nestabilities dies …. I just love this die set! I paper pieced the little girls dress using pink polka dot paper.

Have you noticed there seems to be a pink theme going on here on my blog this week LOL … maybe not all my cards but a fair few of them LOL … funny how that happens every now and then.
