Merry Christmas

Hi Crafty Friends,

It’s challenge time with the “Crazies” over on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog.  As challenge hostess for December I am continuing to issue the challenges. Today is our final challenge for 2019 as we are all taking a break so we can spend time with our families. We will be back next year with lots more fun challenges to play along with!

For our challenge this week we are creating a card using your favorite "Crazy" sketch from our 2019 sketches.

For my card today, I opted for our March Sketch C4C475, this is one I created.

I used Taylored Expressions Modern Holly Layering Stencil to create the background to my card, using traditional Christmas colors. I used Catherine Pooler inks in Eucalyptus, Spruce and Rockin' Red. Once I had all the layers done, I then splattered gold paint all over the background.

A few months ago I purchased some cute Garden Party stamps from Tonic Studios, there are three sets, which include different animals and clothing as well as other items. So you can dress up the characters in the sets. About a month ago, Tonic Studios released a PDF file which you could download to dress your characters up for Christmas, it also included a Christmas Tree. I thought that was a very nice thing to do, and off course I downloaded the file and that is what I have used to dress up my characters today. I actually used the Celebrate Life set today.

For the sentiment, I added Crafter's Companion Edge'ables - Merry die/stamp set. As I wanted a narrow panel below the sentiment, I used a sentiment from MFT Stamps Bitty Holiday Wishes for the "Christmas" sentiment.

I had planned on using Karen Burniston's Gift Pivot Panels for the inside of the card, but of course I would have had to have a landscape card rather than portrait style for that to fit. So instead, I grabbed my favorite Katherine Label Pop-up die set.

I added a sentiment and image to the label part of the card.

On the left hand side of the card I added another sentiment from the Bitty Holiday Wishes stamp set.

Don't forget to check out the rest of the “Crazies” cards over on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog and also their individual blogs for more details.
