A First Class Hello

Hi Crafty Friends,

Today I am sharing a card using products from Spellbinders January 2026 All Clubs Crate. For this card I used the Press & Foil Kit which is a postcard design called Postcard Hello. I opted to glimmer my design using the Polished Brass foil which came with the kit.

I used the 3D Embossing Folder called Cottage Wall, one end of this embossing folder is stripes and the other a flower design. I preferred not to have the flowers,  so I cut a second panel of stripes and lined them up.

My card is a 5 x 7 card.

I had another foiled bird spare, so I cut that out and added that to the left side of my card. I added two of the sentiments that are included in the press and foil kit. I also added two thin strips of gold card to the right hand side of the card.

Thinking of You Slimline

Hi Crafty Friends,

Today I am sharing two Slimline cards I created to add to my stash of male Thinking of You / Get Well Cards. It seems it is easy to make these for women, but making for men not so much.

I recently received my Spellbinders September Caboodle Club kit which is mostly a fall/autumn theme. I love the pattern on the new 3D Embossing Folder to use on this card. I also used Sellbinders Postage Edge Slimlines die set for the layers.

For the sentiment, I used LDRS Creatives Big Word Thinking die set. I die cut the layer from vellum and the word die from either dark blue or black Cardstock.

For the inside of the card I used two stamps from Whimsy Stamps Boo Boo Manflu stamp set.

September 2025 Karen Burniston Designer Challenge

Hi Crafty Friends,

Welcome to our September Karen Burniston Designer Challenge.

Check out Karen Burniston's blog on Wednesday (US Time) when you will be able to see what all the designers created for the challenge this month, plus Karen will have an amazing video tutorial to share with us all.

Our challenge theme this month is ... "LETTER" - How will you interpret this challenge? Does "letter" meana piece of mail? Or does "letter" mean an actual letter? You decide!

As you can see I decide to opt for the "Piece of Mail" definition for this challenge. I pulled out both the Postage Pop-up and Mail Box Pop-up die sets to create a large pop-up postage stamp which features a mail or letter box which ever you prefer to call it.

I die cut the main die from the Postage Pop-up from white cardstock and also sky patterned paper, trimmed around the edge of the sky panel and layered the two together.

After adding my mailbox decoration to this panel, I decided to add some of the faux post stamps from the Special Delivery Clear Stamp set.

To decorate the card a little further, I added the fence from the Fence Add-ons die set and the fence along the edge of all three red polka dot panels. I added the grass from the die set and also added a row of envelopes/letters along the bottom of the card.

I added the sentiment to another panel from the postage pop-up die set adding the heart wings to the corner. I also added a paper airplane to the top right hand corner of the card.

For the front, I echoed much of what I did on the inside, adding the mail box behind the fence and changing up the colour, so it looked like another mailbox. I added another of the sentiments from the Special Delivery Clear Stamp set, to the fence.

I added another couple of envelopes/letters to each side of the fence and added another paper plane so it would appear to be landing on the mailbox.

A Patchwork of Happiness

Hi Crafty Friends,

Today I am sharing a Sewing themed Circle Accordion Card using products from Made To Surprise and Waffle Flower Crafts.

I made this for my friend, who loves sewing, especially quilting etc so I normally make her a card with this theme each year. This year when Waffle Flower released all the sewing themed products I had to get some for this card.

The card base itself was created using Made To Surprise by Sam Calcott's Circle Accordion Showstopper die set which is one that was released a few months back.

For the centre circle panel, I used Waffle Flower's Meandering Texture Die to add the texture to the background, this was also used on all the oval panels and the skinny rectangle panels. I used dies from the Notions die set to add the sewing tools. The postage stamps were created using Waffle Flower's Postage Collage die set and the Postage Collage Sew Fun Stencil. Rather than using the full panel, I cut this panel up to add to the card.

For all the quilted panels I used the Quilted Floral Stencil with the Meandering Texture Die to give them. that quilted look.

The sentiments are all from the Quilted Hugs stamp set.

Here is a look at my card, when it is folded to be placed in an envelope. It will fit inside a 5 x 7 envelope.

Quilted My Thoughts

Hi Crafty Friends,

Welcome to my blog. Today I am sharing two postage style cards that having a sewing/quilting theme, that I created recently.

My cards using Waffle Flower Crafts Postage Collage die set along with the Postage Collage Sew Fun Stencil set. After finishing the postage frames, I embellished the frames using the Sew Fun stamp set which includes fun postage & sewing themed images to add to the panel.

I added a sentiment from the Quilted Hugs stamp set.

My postage panel was added to a 5 x 7 card, I used the Meandering Texture die to add some texture to the orange panel of my background. If you look closely at the photo above, you can see the dotted lines all over the background.

For the inside I added another orange panel with the Meandering Texture die added to it. I added another sentiment and two of the postage stamps which I had cut apart from another postage panel I had made.

Seas The Day

Hi Crafty Friends,

Today I am sharing two beach themed 5 x 7 postage cards I created recently.  Both cards use the Waffle Flowet Crafts Coastal Postage Collage stencil and Postage Collage die sets.

For the first card, I cut apart the postage stamps and added them to the top portion of the card.

I decorated the lower portion using Waffle Flower Crafts Coastline Die-N-Stencil. I added a sentiment from Spellbinders June 2025 Stamp of the Month.

The red base panel was embossed using Spellbinders Mariners Weave Embossing Folder for June.

For the inside I added two more of the postage stamps & another sentiment.

For my second card, I kept the Postage Collage panel in tact. I layered it to my 5 x 7 card base which I have again embossed using the Mariners Weave  Embossing Folder.

For the inside of the card, I added the lighthouse using Spellbinders Large Die for June 2025. I also added a sentiment from the Clear Stamp for June 2025.

Gardenia Faux Post

Hi Crafty Friends,

Welcome to my blog! Today I am sharing another postage themed card, I know I have had a lot of this theme here lately, but I am enjoying making them.

For this card I combined the Waffle Flower Crafts 5 x 7 Postage Collage Die Set with Lisa Horton Crafts Gardenia Stencil. There is a coordinating embossing folder for this stencil, but I couldn't use it for this particular card. The stencil is a fraction shorter than the postage collage area, so after I had finished stencilling in the gardenia, I had to make a couple of touchups to the top and bottom of the panel, so it didn't look like it finished mid way. Adding the sentiment at the top left of the card also helped with this.

Talking of sentiments, I used Spellbinders You Are Everything Sentiments Betterpress Plate for the birthday sentiment. I black foiled this and the sentiment is the negative piece using the left over black foil and the solid foil plate.

For the inside of the card, I used Spellbinders You Are Everything Sentiments & Let's Celebrate Sentiments  Betterpress plates. Again using the negative pieces from black foiling.

I quickly stencilled in the gardenia in the lower two sections of the postage collage die. After I had finished stencilling, I cut them apart to add to the lower right corner of my card.

Big Hello Square Post

Hi Crafty Friends,
Today I have another postage themed card to share. This one uses Spellbinders 3D Embossing Folder for April 25. I love the details in this folder.

I cut a square piece of black card which I embossed with the embossing folder. I then carefully applied gold metallic ink from Lisa Horton to the raised areas.

I die cut 2 pieces of white cardstock using an  square postage die from an old Elizabeth Craft Designs Lake Scene die set which I made into my card base.

I added a sentiment using the Glummer Plate of the Month for April 25, which is foiled using good glimmer foil.

I cut apart another embossed panel, so I could add the two “postage stamps”. I also added a sentiment from the Clear Stamp of the Month.

Mailing You A Big Hello

Hi Crafty Friends,

Today I am sharing another card using Spellbinders Glimmer of the Month - Scattered Letters, this time to make a Slimline Card.

First up I glimmered my panel using black glimmer foil. I glimmered once at the top and the again down the bottom. As I get the caboodle kit (all the kits) I get the bonus, which this time was a stencil to colour the envelopes.

I then cut my panel and added it to a 3 1/2 inch x 8 1/2 inch slimline card.  To finish off the front of the card I added the black glimmer foiled sentiment which is also included in the glimmer set.

For the inside of my card I added the negative foiled panel along the bottom of my card, adding a postage edge border along the top edge.

I added the big hello sentiment, which is an older Waffle Flower Crafts foil/die set. I then added the sub sentiments which is from Lisa Horton Designs A Little Hello Die/Stamp set.

Open Me For A Smile

Hi Crafty Friends,

Today I am sharing another card using a few of the club kits from Spellbinders April 2025 Club Kits.

For the front of the card I used the Glimmer of the Month - Scattered Letters. I glimmered this piece twice on a 5 x 7 piece of white cardstock using black glimmer foil, I decorated the panel using the tulips & envelopes from the Large Die of the Month - Lock & Key Mailbox.

The sentiment is from the Betterpress of the Month - Post Edges Expressions.

For the card base I used a die from the 5 x 7 inch Diamond Fold Die set by Creative Craft Products/Craft Stash. I die add a layer between the patterned paper and base of the card which was fairly simple to do, even with the odd shape.

For the inside of the card I added a rectangle panel that I decorated using the script Betterpress plate included in the  Post Edges Expressions Betterpress set, which I repeated 4 times to cover the whole panel.
I added the odd shape panel over the top of this using the die used on the front, along the bottom I used the negative foiled piece using the left over foil from foiling the front panel. I also added another sentiment also from the Betterpress set.

A Note Just For You

Hi Crafty Friends,

Today I am sharing an Easel card I created using some of the club kits from Spellbinders April Club Kits.

The snail, letterbox & tulips are from the Small Die of the month, Snail Mail Post. On the blue background I used the Embossing Folder of the Month, Perforated Post Edges.

I added to Betterpress sentiments to the card which is from the Post Edges Expressions the Betterpress kit of the month.

The “hello” sentiment is from the large die of the month.
