My card uses “Coco has a Cuppycake” which is an stamp from Stamping Bella! And the designer paper is from Kaisercrafts new range that they released this month.

Hi all!

It’s Monday which means it is time for another challenge over on The Pink Elephant blog. This week the challenge is a sketch challenge.

For my card today I decided to use another of the new stamps that were released by Alota Rubber Stamps earlier in the month. This one is called “Skye, Bike, Girl”. I also found a couple of sentiments that I thought worked well with this stamp which are also from Alota, they are included in the “Transportation” unmounted plate.

Our special challenge for our blog hop today was to create card using your favorite challenge. Well everyone knows I LOVE sketch challenges, so I decided to use one of the past one to create my card.

I used Alota Rubber Stamps’ Angel With Heart Right Hand & Love sentiment to create my card, these are such fun images.

TPE-cupid-closeup-wm

Here is a side on closeup of the image, as you can see I stamped it twice, once on scrap paper and cut that out to mounted over the image stamped on the main panel.

To create my card today I used the cute bug image that is one of the new images from Alota Rubber Stamps. Aren’t they adorable! I stamped the image three times, once the whole image onto white card, just the bugs on scraps of white and the heart onto red card. I then cut out the bugs and heart and paper pieced the image.

Did you know that The Pink Elephant challenge blog will be one year old tomorrow ….. yahhhhhhhhhhhhh. Hope you can come and join us in our celebration blog hop.

Sometimes You’re The Dog!

tpe-sometimes-dog1-wm

Hi everyone,

It is challenge time over on The Pink Elephant blog, this is the last challenge for 2009 … but have no fear we will be back next week for the start of 2010. Wow it is going to take a little bit of getting used to, to remember that we are getting into a new year!

Our challenge this week is another sketch challenge ….. so hope you will be able to find some time this week to play along with us.

This week our sponsor is Totally Stampalicious, so The Pink Elephant Design Team are all using stamps from Totally Stampalicious.

For my card I used the “Hawt Dawg” set … I just love this set! I only used part of the dog as that was all that would fit inside the circle I had to use for the sketch.

For the band across the front of the card I used Martha Stewarts Crown Punch around the Page set, using just the border punch, I thought it might look a little like a dogs collar. I then embossed this with a cuttlebug embossing folder and then added bling to the collar/band.

tpe-sometimes-dog-wm Here is the inside of my card, don’t you just love the sentiment. The fire hydrant is also included in the stamp set.

TPE Sketch #12 Here is the sketch if you want to play along with us this week.

Paper: White; Red; Black; DP

Ava Combing Hair!

tpe-sketch-In-Style-wm

Hi all!

The Pink Elephant has another fun challenge for you this week and it is a sketch challenge! Who doesn’t love sketch challenges right! This week our sponsor is In Style Stamps and each of the design team are using digital images from In Style.

The image I used on my card today is called “Ava Combing Hair”, isn’t she a cutie!

Now I tried something different this week to color my image, normally my preferred method would be copics. However I recently saw a tutorial on how to color digital images using Photo Shop Elements and as I have this program I decided to give it a go. The tutorial was very easy to follow, although I think I do still prefer copics … but every now and then maybe! Here is the link to the tutorial if you want to give it a go.

The Season Of Giving!

season-of-giving-wm

Hi everyone!

Well it is time for another challenge over on The Pink Elephant blog.  This week the challenge is Theme challenge with the theme being Christmas or Winter.

As you can see I decided to go with Christmas, although looking at how she is dressed I guess it covers winter too although for me Christmas are hot summer days not cold winter ones! For my card today uses a digital image from Squigglefly …. this one is called “Season of Giving” which was one that was designed by Robin Willis. This is such a cutie.

I decided to change up the image slightly but printing it out fairly large and cutting the image out of the square and then mounting it onto a circle. I cut up one of the sentiments in the square individually and attached it to the lower part of my card.

Don’t forget to check out The Pink Elephant blog to see what the other design team members came up with this week.

Recipe:

Stamps: Season of Giving Digi Stamp – Squigglefly

Paper: White; Pink; Purple; Blue; Eskimo Kisses DP – Basic Grey

Other: Black Ink; Circle Nestabilities; Snowflake Cuttlebug Embossing Folder; Pink Brads; Foam Tape; Copics
