Java Junkie!

Totally-Java-Junkie-wm

Hi everyone,

Totally Stampalicious are having their first Coffee Shop Blog Hop today and I have been asked to join them as a guest hopper … as I love their stamps of course I said yes!

If you haven’t started on the hop from Totally Stampalicious’ blog then you might want to hop on over there now, I will wait, so you don’t miss out on anything.

My card today uses the new “Coffee Brawd” which will be available at MIDNIGHT EST Thursday, HERE! I know all you coffee drinkers out there will be able to relate to this fun image and all the wonderful sentiments included in the set.

I don’t have the stamp set so I used the digi version for my card, I kept the girl and sentiments the same size as what they would be if I had the stamp set. However and this is where it is fun that when you purchase the stamp set that you also receive the digi version …. for the coffee mugs I decreased the size to suit where I wanted them to go. You can’t do that with many stamp sets now can you! Oh and if you are a digi lover, you can now just purchase the digi version of the stamps if you want to … cool ha!

I decided to create a freestanding pop up card, these are fun to create and it has been a while and seeing them as a challenge over on SCS this week reminded my about them. You can find a tutorial if you need it over in the resources section of SCS.

Totally Stampalicious is giving out lots of blog candy during the hop:

6 - $5 Gift Certificates
3 - $10 Gift Certificates
2 - Coffee Brawd Stamps Set
*Grand Prize* - 2 Stamp Sets and 2 Digi Sets - WINNER'S CHOICE

All you have to do is make sure you leave a comment on every DT Members Blog and YOU could win!!!! The Blog Hop ends at 9PM EST Friday March 12! Winners will be announced on Stampalicious Monday the 15th!

Well now it is time to continue on the hop, your next stop is the very talented and charming Cindy Haffner, I am sure she has something wonderful for you all to see.

Stamps: Coffee Brawd – Totally Stampalicious
Paper: Cream; Pink; Brown
Other: Brown Ink; Brown Grosgrain Ribbon; Pink Button; Impression Folder; Oval Punch; Modern Label Tag Punch & Die; Foam Tape; Copics

Let Me Explain …..

Totally-explain-wm

Hi everyone,

Totally Stampalicious have a sketch challenge this week, and of course since I love sketch challenges and also love my Totally Stampalicious stamps, I decided to play along :)

I decided to play with my “Willameana” set which I haven’t played with since Christmas. I know this is a Christmas themed stamp because she has the letter to Santa behind her back, but with a little playing this can be use for any time of year.

I also got to play with one of my new Martha Stewart punches I got on the weekend when I attended my favorite Scrapbook Stores “Silly Sunday” Day …. they only open the one day a year and wow what amazing bargains they had, what I loved best was the 30% off everything scrapbooking related which meant Martha Stewart punches, so guess where I headed for first when I walked in the door … you got it hehe! I saved my DH a packet cause I would have bought them anyway eventually bwahahahahahaha!

TSMONDAY19%20Sketch%202 Here is the sketch if you want to play along.

Oh and one more thing, if you haven’t been to Totally Stampalicious’ blog recently, they are offering the most amazing blog candy this week . Everyone of their stamp sets …. oh wow!!!!!! go check it out!

Totally Textured!

C4C-Totally-Textured-wm

Hi all!

It’s time for another challenge with my “Crazy” friends over on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog. This week Robin Willis our challenge hostess for February has another fun challenge in store for us this week.

We had to create a card/project using at least 3 different textures. You can use three different embossing folders or you can mix things up and use various types of textures (i.e. dry embossing, wet embossing, textured papers, etc) They just needs to be 3 distinctly different textures on your creation.

Our sponsor for this week is Totally Stampalicious

hawgbloglink

For my card today I used Totally Stampalicious’ “Glam Kitty”. For the texture requirement of the challenge I added the following:

  • It’s hard to tell in the photo, however the designer paper used on the dress has embossing on it.
  • Two stripes across the card are both embossed using cuttlebug embossing folder
  • The brads are furry … actually brown fur so I used my copic airbrush to turn them black
  • Star border punch also gives a textured feel
  • Black Grosgrain Ribbon is textured
  • Red Button also is textured

Another Birthday Card!

Totally-HB-Hawgt-wm

Hi everyone,

My card today is for this week’s challenge over at the Totally Stampalicious blog. This week the challenge is “Down On The Farm” using any ‘farm’ related images on your creation.

Of course seeing I have this “Farmer Hawg” set from Totally Stampalicious I decided to use that … what could be more farmish then that hehe! I also got to play with my new “Farmer Hawg Sentiments” which are a perfect fit for the sign that the Farmer is carrying. I love how you can get the digital stamps when you order the clear stamps cause that means I can play with my new toys now and not have to wait until my stamps arrive.

Purr-fectly Fabulous!

totally-fabulous-wm

Hi everyone

My card today uses the new “Glam Kitty” stamp set from Totally Stampalicious. I am just loving this image. The fun thing about Totally Stampalicious is that when you purchase the stamp set you are also sent the digi stamps for the set as well which means no more waiting for your stamps to arrive you can play while you are waiting …. how cool is that.

Totally Stampalicious is also hosting a challenge over on their blog, which is to create a card using shades of purple. This is the card I came up with!

For the layout of my card I used this week’s Mercy’s Tuesday Sketch challenge (MTSC56).

Stamps: Glam Kitty – Totally Stampalicious

Paper: White; Purple; DP – Kaisercraft

Other: Black Ink; Paper Piercing Mat & Tool; Grosgrain Ribbon; Foam Tape; Copics

Sometimes You’re The Dog!

tpe-sometimes-dog1-wm

Hi everyone,

It is challenge time over on The Pink Elephant blog, this is the last challenge for 2009 … but have no fear we will be back next week for the start of 2010. Wow it is going to take a little bit of getting used to, to remember that we are getting into a new year!

Our challenge this week is another sketch challenge ….. so hope you will be able to find some time this week to play along with us.

This week our sponsor is Totally Stampalicious, so The Pink Elephant Design Team are all using stamps from Totally Stampalicious.

For my card I used the “Hawt Dawg” set … I just love this set! I only used part of the dog as that was all that would fit inside the circle I had to use for the sketch.

For the band across the front of the card I used Martha Stewarts Crown Punch around the Page set, using just the border punch, I thought it might look a little like a dogs collar. I then embossed this with a cuttlebug embossing folder and then added bling to the collar/band.

tpe-sometimes-dog-wm Here is the inside of my card, don’t you just love the sentiment. The fire hydrant is also included in the stamp set.

TPE Sketch #12 Here is the sketch if you want to play along with us this week.

Paper: White; Red; Black; DP

Lucky Dawg!

SC259-Lucky-Dawg-wm

Hi everyone, hope you are all having a great day!

My card today combines two challenges from this week. First of all it is this week’s sketch challenge over on SCS, I thought it was about time I played along as it has been a couple of week’s since I did this. I did turn the sketch on it’s side to make allowances for the image that I wanted to use and it was already sitting here cut out and colored just had to turn it into a card … easy peasy!

The second challenge this covers is this week’s Totally Stampalicious challenge which was “Button Up” to use buttons on our cards. I used there “Hawt Dawg” set to create my card today.

Recipe:

Stamps: Hawt Dawg – Totally Stampalicious

Paper: White; Brown; Blue; DP – DCWV

Other: Black Ink; MS Double Loop Border Punch; Buttons; Foam Tape; Copics

Pig Out!

totally-pig-out-wm

Hi all!

I have been playing again … what’s new ha! hehe!! This week the challenge over on the Totally Stampalicious blog is to keep it simple. I think I did that!

This time round I decided to play with Totally Stampalicious' Farmer Hawgt set … this just cracks me up! Love the sentiment too …. not sure that we need any encouragement to “pig out” though at this time of year right hehe!

Be Merry & Bright!

c4c-giftcard-wm

Hi everyone!

It’s the first Saturday in December which means that we have a new challenge host for our challenges over on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog. This month our challenge hostess is none other than Joanne Grzelak, I am sure you will love the challenges Joanne has in store for us all this month.

To start of the month and because Christmas is just around the corner, we had to make a Gift card holder … it can be any type you like.

Well I went a little crazy this week, and made tons (ok 4 different) gift card holders ... I just couldn't help myself, there are just so many out there that I have been wanting to have a go at for a while and this seemed like the perfect opportunity.

For my first gift card holder I created a gift card holder that I have made a few times before … if you want instructions on how to create it you can find a tutorial here. I decided to use my new stamps from “Waltzing Mouse Stamps”. The stamps used here are from the Seasons of Love set …. this set is designed to work with the nestabilities. I used the star & circle nestabilities for this one. Claire also has some other great sets which can also be used with the nestabilities … which I also love!

c4c-giftcard4-wm

Here is an inside view of my gift card holder. You can see the gift card sticking out of the middle portion. I also included circles on either side ready to write who I will give this to and who it is from.

c4c-giftcard3-wm One more view of the inside!

Recipe:

Stamps: Seasons of Love – Waltzing Mouse Stamps

Paper: White; Olive; Burgundy; Eskimo Kisses DP – Basic Grey

Other: Black Ink; Burgundy Ink; Star Nestabilities; Circle Nestabilities; MS Scallop Dot Border Punch; Burgundy Grosgrain Ribbon; Green Button; Word Window Punch; Swiss Dot Cuttlebug Embossing Folder; Foam Tape

totally-money-holder5wm Ok, as I said I couldn’t just stop at one so for my next gift card holder (well really this is a money holder, but close enough right), I wanted to try out Carolina's Ornament Money Holder. Carolina, posts a different tutorial every week and this was her tutorial from last week, you can find out how to make one here.

totally-money-holder3-wm Here is another photo of my money holder this time with the ornament out of the little envelope that holds it. I used “Willameana” from Totally Stampalicious to put on the front of my ornament.

totally-money-holder1wmAnd one more pic of my money ornament holder, this time without the money.

Recipe:

Stamps: Willameana – Totally Stampalicious

Paper: White; Olive; Red; Eskimo Kisses DP – Basic Grey

Other: Black Ink; Circle Nestabilities; MS Snowflake Punch; Red Grosgrain Ribbon; Green Candy Dots; Tag Punches; Tab Punch; Cuttlebug Embossing Folder; Gold Cord; Red Gems; Foam Tape; Copics

gina-beanie-money-holder1-w Now onto my third gift card holder today … this is another of Carolina's ideas. I first saw this idea a few week’s back and knew at once I wanted to make one too. You can find the instructions for her Beanie Gift Card Holder here. I did play around a little with my circles and I didn’t want to see my gift card from the back of the holder so I actually cut out 2 circles and cut the 2nd one slightly larger than in Carolina’s instructions.

gina-beanie-money-holder-wm And here is the inside view, the front lifts up similar to how a hinge card does.

Well I know I said at the beginning of this post that I made 4 card card holders, but I have decided that 3 is probably enough to inflict on you today LOL. I will use the last one for my post for tomorrow, so don't forget to come back and check it out ;) .Sorry to be such a tease :)

Don't forget to check out the rest of the “Crazies” cards over on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog and also their individual blogs for more details.
