Happy St Patrick’s Day!

Riley-StPatrick-wm

Hi everyone,

It’s challenge time again over on the Riley and Company blog. This week it is Laurie Clout’s turn to host the challenge. With St Patrick’s Day being just around the corner Laurie challenged us to a St Patrick’s theme … it could be an image, colors etc.

One of the first Riley’s to be released way back when Riley first came out were two stamps that were both St Patrick’s Day related so of course I just had to use those. The stamps are called St Patty’s Beer and Clover Riley. The sentiment is from the Everyday Sentiments stamp set, this set contains sentiments you might need throughout the year.

Don’t forget to check out the rest of the Design Teams blogs today so see what they created for this challenge, I am sure they will also be using some of the new stamps that are being released this week.

Stamps: St Patty’s Beer; Clover Riley; Everyday Sentiments – Riley and Company
Paper: White; Light Green; Dark Green; Origin DP – Basic Grey
Other: Black Ink; Green Twine; Button; Spellbinders Label Tag Die; Green Brad; MS Optic Dots Border Punch; Foam Tape; Copics

    Owl Bookmarks

    ShoeboxAnne-wm

    Hi everyone,

Recently the stamp club I belong to had another shoebox swap where we each designed a card and then made enough kits so that we each got to make one of everyone’s creations. I shared the card I made for the swap a few Sunday’s back.

    shoeboxAnne3-wm

This was the first of the projects I made at the swap and of course being that it has owls on it has to be one of my favorites, how could it not when I love owls! Smile

These are actually bookmarks, and were a nice quick easy project to make. Basically you start with a square piece of card and then fold it in half one way and then open it up and fold it the other way so you have 4 squares on your card. Cut out one square and then you just fold over the outer squares onto the other and apply some adhesive and you have your bookmark  to decorate.

    shoeboxAnne2-wm

The owl is a die from Sizzix. I had been resisting it for a while, but I think I am going to have to cave in and by it LOL!

    You Make Me Hoppy!

    MFT-Hoppy-wm

    Hi everyone,

It’s time for another challenge with my friends over on the CCEE Stampers challenge blog. As it is March and a beginning of a new month, we have a new challenge hostess which is Joanne Grzelak.

Joanne has some fun challenge lined up for us this month with her first being … The winds of March are on their way….let’s use SWIRLS in some way. I am presuming your winds of March are similar to our winds in August down here Smile

For my card today I used one of the new MFT Stamps Pure Innocence stamps … Warm Fuzzies! Don’t you just love that name and doesn’t it so suit this little cutie. I used two MFT Die-namics on my card, the Die-namics Butterflies and the Die-namics Faux Crochet Border.

For the swirl part of the challenge I added some pearl flourishes to the top left of my card.

    Butterflies Die-namics

    Faux Crochet Border Die-namics

For my card I used the new PI Boy Scout stamp set.  Recently while I was out shopping I found this fleur de lis designer paper and since the fleur de lis is the emblem of the Boy Scouts I decided it would be perfect for my card.

    MFT-DoYourBest2-wm

Oopsie Daisy …..Let’s Hop & Shop!

    MFT-Oopsie-Daisy1-wm

It’s release day over on MFT Stamps, which means it is time to join the MFT Stamps Design Team for another "Blog Hop and Shop!".

The hop started at Kim's (MFT Lady) blog so if you didn’t start from there you may want to head over there now so that you can start at the beginning of the hop. You don't want to miss anything and believe me there is lots to see!

Tonight I am featuring the latest Fred Bear set …. Fred Bear Oopsie Daisy! Isn’t he just totally adorable!

I recently found a new type of Easel card while doing some blog surfing, this is called a Twisted Easel Card which was lots of fun to create. I just love construction type cards. Basically it is the same as a normal easel but instead of folding the top panel in half to hold the front of the card, you score it diagonally.

    MFT-Oopsie-Daisy2-wm

Here is another view of my card so you can see the angle the front piece is on. I used three MFT Die-namics on my card. The panel along the left side of the front of my card I used the Die-namics Faux Crochet Border die. I added butterflies to the front and inside of my card using the Die-namics Butterflies die. And finally I used just the rectangle piece from the Die-namics Layered Label Die to stamp my sentiment on for the inside of my card. That is the piece that keeps my card open.

    Butterflies Die-namics

    Faux Crochet Border Die-namics

    layered label Die-namicsSMALL

Here is what my card looks like when it is closed.

Well that is about it from me for today, now it is time to hop on over to the blog of the marvellously talented Julie Dinn and see what awesome creation she has to share with you today.

Enjoy the rest of the hop and thanks for dropping by! Don't forget to leave comments on all the blogs, you never know who may be giving away blog Candy!!
