VSN - Day 2

Well VSN is finally over, I had a great time so if you participated thanks! For me this has been a process of a few weeks or so since I committed to be a hostess for this event. Creating cards in a 45 min time frame was certainly the hardest part of the whole event for me, I normally like to fiddle with my cards until I am happy with the way they look. Even with the time difference I managed to hang out for the majority of the time everyone else did, even getting up at 3.30am this morning (Sunday here) for a little while, I did end up going back to bed for a while and resurfacing at 6am.

This flower pot full of flower lollies was made for the Yummy flower challenge. This was fun to do and also fun to eat, it doesn't look exactly like this anymore as people have been eating my flowers LOL. The flowers were created using my cricut and then stamped using the Canvas Background. I then scrunched them up and attached to the lollipop stick.
Set Sail was the 2nd challenge today and our challenge was to create something 3D with a nautical feel using one sheet of paper/card to create the item. I have been wanting to make one of those one sheet boxes that Beate wrote a tutorial on so I did that. How does this relate to May Flowers???, again a clever interpretation of the theme and that famous ship the Mayflower! Of course the lighthouse is from Coast to Coast soon to be discontinued in the states (but not Australia for now anyway)
A meadow full of color was our next theme, and this time we had to create something using the baby wipe technique - this is a fun technique and can be found in the resource section of SCS if you haven't done it yet. I used the technique on my dragonflies and also the background which I then also used my spots and dots cuttlebug embossing folder. Dragonflies are by Stylish Images (Aust)
A smashing background was our next challenge, we had to pound flowers to create the background of a card. I was able to use my wizard die cutter to pound my flowers so took just a second to do. I have no idea if this will work in the cuttlebug, and might create a big mess, so if you try it don't blame me I warned ya. The wizard die cutter can do some things other die cutters won't do. I did protect my mats by using wax paper. The flower stamp I used is by Paper Inspirations and the verse is Sugarloaf.

The challenge for the next card was "Sharing the light" and it was about highlight a verse of some sort. The background paper here is by Stamp It (Aust) as is the tiny flower. The verse is Wordsworth.
April Showers bring May Batik was the next challenge which is what we did for the yellow card. I used stamps from Natural Beauty and also the verse from Polka Dots and Paisley. I create my batik by using re-inkers in spray bottles, but these days I use the colorwash sprays which are already mix to the right proportions for you. This one I used butterscotch and lettuce, I did spritz my mulberry paper well with water before and after application of the colorwash sprays to get a more pastel effect.

The next challenge again had that Mayflower twist (the ship) , the challenge was Pilgrim Gratitude and we had to create a thank you card without actually using the word thank or thanks! I came up with "You Rock!" , the Rockabella image is by Stamping Bella; verse by Sugarloaf and the records a very old PSX set which I don't think is avail anymore. If you know of a company that sells a record that could be used can you please let me know so I can let someone who has asked me know. This flower card was created using the carrot stamp by alota rubberstamps. The challenge of Not-Flowers was to create a flower card without using an actual flower stamp!

The 3 pocket cards above were my samples for the challenge I hosted: A pocketful of posies. The challenge was to create some form of pocket card using either a pocket stamp, a pocket shape or some form of pocket card (there are a few versions around).

Captivating Color was our next challenge - to create a monochromatic card. I enjoy creating monochromatic cards so this was pretty easy. I love the Wild about You set and continued the spot theme in the card by using the spots and dots cuttlebug embossing folder and the mustard card I punched out circles in various sizes.
Spring Cleaning was our second last challenge - to create a card using recycled materials of some sort. This one started with the lollipop stick (from the lolly flowers in the first picture in this post) and grew from there. The pot I cut from a coaster I was going to use for the coaster box I created earlier in the week but I punched my holes to join it before checking which way the stripes went so had to put that one aside. I also saw how to create this ribbon flower online somewhere last week so it was great to be able to put it to use.And finally, Turning over a new gold leaf. The challenge was to use gold leaf, mine is actually pot pourri leaf so has more copper in it then gold hence the copper layers and embellishments. Stamp is one I have had for years from Denami.

VSN - Day 1

This weekend is VSN on Splitcoast Stampers. VSN stands for Virtual stamp night, special challenges are issued during the weekend and those who wish to participate have 45 mins to complete there card for that particular challenge. The theme for the VSN this weekend is May Flowers - all the challenges relate in some way to this. This is my first VSN and I have been having lots of fun and am looking forward to tomorrow when I get to give everyone my challenge as I am one of the hostesses this time round. I was able to be around for most of todays challenges, but might not be able to be there first of tomorrow as 12 noon in the US is 2am in Australia. But that is ok I will be able to make it to most of it. Here are my cards from todays challenges.
The challenge for this one was "Buggy Helpers", we had to create a card with a bug of some sort on it using spring colors. The bee on this one is by Dawnstar (an Aussie stamp company) and the background is the kindness wheel from Stampin' Up.
It has been a very long time since I have had to do any quilling, I actually used to so quilling about 20 years ago before I got into stamping. It was fun to revisit this technique but it is not something I plan to keep doing in the future. As you can see I happened to use the same background in this one as I did my previous card. I also used the vintage frame cuttlebug die to layer the quilled flower on.

The theme for this one was "A Trip to Emerald City" - how does this relate to May Flowers, well the Emerald apparently is the birthstone for May. I thought that was clever thinking. When I think of The Wizard of Oz I think of the yellow brick road and also the ruby slippers so that is what I did here. I did really want a curvy road but with only 45mins I didn't have time to get toooo carried away with trying to get the right curve - I tried once and it didn't work so went this way for my road. The shoes I used are by Third Coast Rubber Stamps.

Landscaper designer for the day was the theme for this one. I has been a while since I have had to create a scene and I did enjoy playing with my scenic stamps again. I am not totally happy with this one but again I had to consider the 45min time frame. I am not sure what company the house is from, the background Tree scene is CC Rubber Stamps, the flowers & cobblestones on the path are Stampendous and the purple flowers and hedge in the front are from the Watercolor Mini set by Stampin' Up. I am very impressed in some of the themes the hostesses used for VSN, and this one is no exception. Run for the Black Eyed Susan was the theme, which apparently to do with Horse racing and and decorating the horses with flowers of this color if they win. Our challenge was to create a card using Summer Sun and Chocolate Brown - those colors to me yell Sunflowers so this was an easy one to create. Sunflower - Stampendous; Polka Dots - Stampin' Up; D'vine Swirl Cuttlebug embossing folder.

This was another clever theme, it relates to the Mayflower - this time the ship that arrived in America sooo many years ago. Now I would never have thought of that but maybe that is because I am an Aussie - but I loved the theme. The theme was "The Glue that binds Us" - we had to create a card by using adhesives of some sort to embossing. I used my new stamps from Cornish Heritage Farms and I attached Jac paper (double sided sticker paper) to card and then used my slot punch to create the scallops and them embossed with gold ep.

If you want to read more about any of these themes or VSN you can check it out here.

I had lots of fun today and will be back tomorrow to share what I do then.

Find Joy in Flowers

This card is two challenges in one card. Yesterday Jen posted the limited supply challenge, her theme this week was Quick May Flowers in honor of the May Flowers VSN taking place this weekend on Splitcoast Stampers. This week we again had to follow a list:
  • Only one flower stamp which could only be stamped once (it could be just one flower or a bunch, or combined in something else.
  • One sentiment
  • One small background stamp
  • up to 3 colors card plus white or vanilla
  • any ink or coloring tools
  • we could use ribbons, brads or punches
  • doodling could be used
Then this morning while checking on everyones blogs, I discovered that Beate is running another sketch challenge so I decided to combine the two challenges and make the one card.

Recipe:
Stamps: Flower - Cornish Heritage Farms; Polka Dots & Paisley - SU
Paper: White, Old Olive, Apricot Appeal & Bravo Burgundy - SU

Flashback Friday - Mini Books

Well Friday certainly came around pretty fast this time round. I am having lots of fun selecting past projects to highlight each week for Flashback Friday, I hope you are all enjoying it too.

This week I am highlighting a um plate by Sunday International called Altered Book. This plate has all you need to create the basic book ie the cover, the inside pages and a few other things you can use to create a book if you wish. But with a little bit of imagination (which we all have) and other stamps etc you own you can make some unique creations suitable for all sorts of occasions including birthdays, birth of a child, Christmas or just for fun.

The first book I found the template for the woman's body in a Paper Crafts mag and just had to use it to create a book. I came up with my title for the book and used my Lucy's Stamps tag alphabet stamps to create it. Inside the book I had to work out something to go inside that suited the theme of the book - I ended up going with the ladies running and as I had lots of food stamps the eat right page was easy to do.

The Winnie the pooh book I made for a friend (and one for me too, which is why you can see two in the above picture. Somethings just can't be given away without having one yourself LOL!) I used a variety of Winnie the Pooh stamps from All Night Media & Rubber Stampede to create this book. I think there are a few other scenery stamps from other companies too. The letters in the title are again from Lucy's Stamps (Aust). If you look closely at the inside of this book you can see that Tiger and Winnie the Pooh actually pop up as the book opens. This one did take a bit of time to work out the pop up bit (thanks also to Susan who originally came up with this idea and shared with me)

This last book could be suitable for a male that likes to play poker, however I just made it because I could and sent it to my friend Susan who also has this set and has sent me a few of her books too. I am not sure if those HM are really playing poker but they are playing cards so that is how this book came into being. The rules of poker I found in a games book and shrunk down to fit into my book and yes I do have a few playing card stamps so it was easy to decorate the front of this book.

Blog Candy Winner

Hi just a quick reminder to let you know that I drew out the winner for the blog candy yesterday and posted the winner here. Monika needs to email me so I can get her address so I can post her goodies to her. If I haven't heard from Monika by the end of the weekend I will do a redraw and pick someone else. :)

Sympathy Card

This one is very similar to the Daisy card I posted yesterday for the color challenge. But they are different slightly so I thought I would post it anyway. This was made to send to a friend, I like my daisy card but felt the blue was too cheery for a sympathy card and had run out of rose red card so changed the colors. The lattice shows up better on this one as I reinked my inkpad prior to inking up my stamps - I think I prefer this version which is why I am posting it.

Recipe:
Stamps: Cornish Heritage Farms
Paper: Always Artichoke, Cranberry Crisp, Apricot Appeal - Stampin' Up; White
Other: Black Ink; Amber Clay Fluid Chalks; Slot Punch, Ticket Corner Punch & Tab Punch - Stampin' Up; White Gel Pen; Tria Markers; Foam Tape

Prickly Pear

I am still playing with my new Cornish Heritage Farms stamps. This time I am using their Prickly Pear stamp and Weave Backgrounder. I just love how their background stamps are soooo easy use, you get a great background the first time round! This card is for this weeks sketch challenge on SCS, I really like this sketch it is a little different to the norm!

I used my weave background stamp on my barely banana card using bisque fluid chalk. The green portion I embossed using the mesh cuttlebug embossing folder and then rubbed on Certainly Celery ink over the raised areas (although I have a feeling there may have been something else left on my sponge I was using).

Recipe:
Stamps: Cornish Heritage Farms
Paper: Barely Banana, Certainly Celery, Cranberry Crisp - Stampin' Up
Other: Black Ink; Bisque Fluid Chalk; Certainly Celery Ink - Stampin' Up; Ticket Corner Punch; Mesh Cuttlebug Embossing Folder; Burgundy Brads; Tria Markers; Foam Tape

Daisy

Yesterday I received my order from Cornish Heritage Farms, they have some of the best background stamps and as you can buy them um they work out fairly cheap. I am very impressed with their stamps, they are very deeply etched so they are easy to get a good impression and you can order them with cushion to go on either an acrylic block or to wood mount them. And another bonus I found with their backgrounds is that they fit a standard card front and I am meaning an Aussie card front which is normally slightly longer than what our US friends use - this is because our standard card stock is a different size to begin with. I know often I have purchased backgrounds from the US before to discover they don't quite fit the full length of a card - these ones do!

Anyway about the card I just created, I made this for the color challenge on SCS. The colors we had to use today were: Tempting Turquoise, Rose Red, Apricot Appeal with the option of using Green Galore. I of course had to play with some of my new stamps, so I picked my new cornflower stamp and lattice backgrounder (I have been wanting this lattice background forever LOL!). The lattice is very soft on this card as I didn't want to lose the apricot appeal color tooo much. The daisy on the tab punch was created using my xyron design runner - I have to admit I haven't used this as much as I would like - mainly cause I keep forgetting about it or what I have to use. So yesterday I sat here and printed out everything on the cartridges I have so I can include it in my stamp catty so I will use it!

Basically the design of this card is the same as the one I used for my "Quack" card, that I created for the featured stamper challenge (Candy Williams) on Sunday - I think I said then I liked the layout so I would use it again so I have.

Recipe:
Stamps: Cornish Heritage Farms
Paper: Tempting Turquoise, Rose Red, Apricot Appeal - Stampin' Up; White
Other: Black Ink; French Blue & Amber Clay Fluid Chalks; Slot Punch, Ticket Corner Punch & Tab Punch - Stampin' Up; White Gel Pen; Tria Markers; Foam Tape

AND THE WINNER IS!!!!!

Hi everyone thank you for leaving your comments in my blog candy posting, it was great to discover where everyone was from.

I used www.random.org to select a winner from all our comments and the winner is..................................

Warm Up Cards

The challenge this week for learn a new technique over at SCS was making warm up cards. Warm up cards are little cards approx 3 inches square that should only take you about 10 to 15 mins to make. As I work in metres not inches most of the time mine are just a fraction bigger and 8cm square. I created these ones using scraps or leftovers I had lying around.

For this pink one I cut my card and folded it in half and then stamped the polka dots background from Polka Dots and Paisley - I love this background. I then cut a strip of pink which I layered to black card and attached to the middle.
I used my new "M for Mother" stamp from MissyB Designs which I punched out and layered to a black circle and attached to the centre of the card.

I started the "find joy" card by folding a white card in half, I then stamped the background using my canvas background stamp (another fav) using Blush rose fluid chalk. The scallop strips are left overs when I was creating a scallop border for a previous challenge, I liked the look of them so I decided to keep them in case of - so I used them here. I then stamped the verse onto white card, layered it onto burgundy and attached to centre.

For my froggy card, again I had the cuttlebugged tiny bubbles background sitting in my scrap book so I cut it down to fit my 8cm square card, used my ticket corner punch to punch the corners. I decided to use my new frog from MissyB Designs which I stamped on white card, colored and then punched out with a circle punch and then punch out a scallop circle and layered together and attached to the card. I added the white dots to the scallops and the corners using a white gel pen.

You will all I expect recognise this doggy! This was left over from when I made my coaster box and long card last week, I already had the scallop circle punched out as I wanted to get rid of the card and there was enough left to punch one scallop so I did. And of course a scrap of my fav background paper which I attached to the left of the card. I used my paper piercing mat pack & tool to pierce the holes in the corners. This is one of my favs!

I am not tooo fussed on this one but included it anyway. Again it was a scrap of cuttlebugged card from a previous project which didn't get used - this is the Friend embossing folder. I didn't want to obscure the word friend or toooo many of the other words either. I attached the ribbon to the middle, but it still needed something. I then saw this flower that was attached to my drawer in front of me as I was going to use it for something and changed my mind so stuck it there for safe keeping LOL! I attached it to the top of the card and it helped so I left it there.

Beate's Sketch Challenge

Beate is celebrating over 200000 hits on her blog (Fresh &Fun) by hosting a sketch challenge. So I decided it would be fun to play too, here is what I came up with. I am still playing around with the stamps I got last week and for Mothers Day from Missy B Designs, the stamp I used here is part of the Alexa's Set - isn't she cute!

Recipe:
Stamps: Girl & Verse from Alexa's Set - MissyB Designs; Well worn words - SU
Paper: White; Yellow; Orange; Teal; b'ground paper - unknown
Other: Black Ink; White Ink; Aquamarine fluid chalk; yellow, orange & teal brads; Traffic Jam Cuttlebug Embossing Folder; Prima Flowers

Blog Candy Time!

Hi everyone, wow I can't believe that I am almost at 10000 hits! It has certainly been lots of fun playing with this blog thing, I hope you have been enjoying my blog too. To celebrate 10000 hits I thought it was time for some blog candy, I believe a few of you out there like blog candy right???? LOL!

Yesterday my daughter and I picked out a few things to include in the blog candy prize, it includes:
  • 1 pkt of Music theme slide mounts
  • 5 mega clips
  • 1 pkt of lilac eyelets
  • 1 pkt of blue eyelets
  • 1 pkt of candle buttons
  • 1 pkt of silver & gold clipola's
  • 1 pkt of of pink vellum tags
  • 5 metres of grosgrain ribbon (1 metre x 5 colors)
I have tried to keep it fairly flat in case it needs to be posted to an overseas location!

If you would like the chance to win this blog candy, just leave me a comment on this posting (click on the comments button underneath the post) and tell me a little about yourself and where you live. Once the hit counter goes over the 10000 mark I will pick a winner by using the random number generator thingy.

Quack!

Well Mother's Day is nearly over here, I had a pleasant day with my daughters, DH and both our mothers for a lovely BBQ lunch. Once they all left I had to check if the featured stamper challenge had been posted yet on SCS and yes it had! This weeks featured stamper is Cindy Williams, I really enjoy the featured stamper challenge as it gives you the opportunity to check out stampers galleries you may not normally check out and of course because you have to CASE a card you have to notice a card more closely. I like to pick a card that is a little different to what I would have done previously so while I was going through Cindy's gallery this one caught my eye! I liked how she had used the scalloped pieces on the top and bottom of her card to showcase the main image.

Of course I had to play with one of my new stamps I got today for Mother's Day so picked this duck, I think it is soooo cute! My other changes included changing the colors - I chose yellow and black; using the tab punch for my message (quack); adding black brads to the corners of the main image and I also decided to emboss the black card using the tiny bubbles cuttlebug embossing folder and then sponged over the top with white ink.

Recipe:
Stamps: Duck - MissyB Designs; Quack - Karen Foster Snap Stamps
Paper: White; Yellow & Black
Other: Black Ink; Slot, Tab & Ticket Corner Punch - SU; Black Brads; Tiny Bubbles Cuttlebug Embossing Folder

Happy Mothers Day!

Happy Mothers Day to all the Mums out there! I thought today I would share with you all the card I received for Mothers Day from my youngest daughter. When she was younger Becky was an avid stamper and even had her own collection of stamps but she no longer stamps or makes cards anymore. Any cards she needs she normally just takes from my collection or makes me make it for her, which of course I don't mind as I love stamping and making cards. She knows however that I expect her to make 2 cards a year - one for my birthday and one for Mothers Day. So yesterday she borrowed my cricut and my Mickey & Friends cartridge and came up with this card which she presented to me this morning with my Mothers Day gift - I just love it. No wonder I want her to make me cards!

2 Challenges, Same Image

When I discovered that Julia's 'Ways to use it " challenge on SCS was using coaster this week, I immediately thought of making a coaster box. Recently while I was searching for something else I needed for another project I found some long lost coasters I must have had for ages (way before they became the "in" thing) which I had forgotten I even had LOL. I am not sure where I got these from possibly something my DH bought home - but I could be wrong.

I've used this paper for a few things now and I do like it even better it is a really cheap paper - I found it in a pack of 10 or 12 sheets for $2 (there are 2 sheets of this particular paper). I got another pack a few days ago so I could keep using it. I guess I will have to use the others in the pack tooo sometime LOL! I only just had enough yellow ribbon to do the lacing at the sides, I couldn't even tie a bow it had to be a knot! As the paper had teal in it I went with teal for the scallop circle and of course as I had new stamps to play with I choice this cute doggy.

I just adore this little dog, I saw it on a card on SCS for a sketch challenge recently, it is actually that person I should thank for making me purchase the MissyB Designs stamps. This dog reminds me of my grand puppy, Oscar as he has patches over him (but he is actually white and brown) and also of my dog, Buddy who often has his tongue sticking out just a tiny bit (not quite so much as this image does). Buddy looks so cute with his tongue out, and I am sooo glad I have him as we thought we were going to have to lose him a few months ago.

I think I will keep this on my desk to hold the tools I use all the time.

While I was finishing of my coaster box, the limited supply challenge was posted by Jen on SCS. The theme was "Wide Open Spaces" - nothing to do with the Dixie Chicks! Our wide open space on our card could not contain any stamped images, dry embossing, patterned paper or embellishment, and there should be a lot of open space on our cards. We could use any images, papers, colors and embellishments on our cards as long as they weren't in the wide open spaces. Arghhhhhhhh - no background stamps, no cuttlebug (what no cuttlebug!!!!!).

Anyway I had spare paper left over from the coaster box, so I decided to use that and my little doggy again. Oh and i had to include the woof which also comes on the plate with the dog, I think woof means hello in doggy language for this card anyway LOL.

Stamps: Dog and Verse - MissyB Designs
Papers: Background paper - unknown; Teal; Yellow; White
Other: Coasters; Scallop circle punch; circle punch; Tab punch - SU; yellow brads

Flashback Friday - House Mouse

I just adore House Mouse stamps, they are sooo adorable. I can't stand real mice but these I will have in my house anytime LOL. So of course I had to feature them as one of my "Flashback Friday" features. I have decided to focus on just one image today - when I purchased mine it was when Stampa Rosa was still manufacturing them and mine is called "Wake Up!", however these days they are created by Stampabilities and when I just went searching for the image I noticed it now has a new name - "Pop"-ular Fun.

In the first card I used a variety of pinks & purples to color in the balloons, I have made this card for various different occasions including birthdays and thank yous. As there are a lot of balloons in the image your "Thanks a Bunch" verse work well with this image if you have them. I also like creating scenes sometimes with my stamps so for this one I created the floor and the walls - this is easy to do by just first drawing two lines to represent the skirting board around the floor and then using your background stamps on your walls for wallpaper and you can either just sponge your floor or in this case I used my wood texture block I have to create the floorboards. This was all done of course after I had stamped my HM image and masked it.
As I said in the previous paragraph I like creating scenes, I also like to cut my HM images apart and use them to create my own scenes - this way I get more value from my stamps. Normally if I am going to do this I would stamp my image and cut out the various HM creatures and then go through my stamp catalogs I have at home which contain images of all the stamps I own and see what will go with which image. Because I have cut out the little HM I can place them against or on the image in the catty to see what will work. This is how this fridge scene came into being! Instead of using stamps for my floor and walls, this time I used background papers - in this case the check paper represents kitchen floor tiles - I cover the join of the two papers with a piece of white paper/card to represent the skirting this helps define the wall and the floor. The fridge was then stamped and cut out and attach to the card - I added cheese in the fridge (another stamp), what else could you expect in a mouse's fridge LOL! Then the HM images were attached where needed.
By coloring your balloons in various red and green colors you can turn your HM image into a Christmas Card!

And here's my final card today using this image - this time using bright colors to create a bright birthday card!

Bleached Cards & Mini Tutorial

I have had a pretty busy today! First it was club day down the coast and today I arranged to take a friend down for her first time which was fun - strange to have company on the drive there and back but very nice. Our project for today was to use bleach on our cards, it has been a while since I have had the bleach out to play so it was fun to revisit this technique.

If you haven't as yet used bleach in your stamping here are a few pointers on using bleach to create your cards.

1. Use fresh bleach! Bleach does have the tendency to go off even in their opaque containers.

2. Make sure you work in a well ventilated area - I like to work so a fan is behind me and blowing the fumes away from me. It's also a good idea to wear old clothes just in case they get bleach on them.

3. Make sure your work area is protected!!!!

4. Stamp your image onto colored card - you can emboss if you wish but it is not necessary. The card at the top was stamped using brilliance ink and left unembossed. The card down the bottom was embossed.

5. Expect the unexpected. Experiment with different colors of card and even different brands of the same color. In the samples included here the area that I bleached turned white, but this can vary from cardstock to cardstock.

6. For an outline image stamp your image on your cards as per #3 and then paint parts of the image using a paintbrush to apply the bleach. You can also use the aquawash type brushes - the ones you normally fill with water - buy a second to use for bleach - make sure the bleach is fresh each time you use it.

7. You can either leave your bleached outline image as is or if desired you can color them using your coloring medium of choice.

8. Fill a spray bottle with bleach and spritz your card with it (this is how I got the background on the top card which was originally the same color and the piece the tulips are stamped on) Again the results will differ depending on the fineness of your spray.

9. Create a temporary stamp pad using folded paper towel (place this on a plate or plastic container of some sort). Add your bleach and use this as a stamp pad to stamp your images directly onto your card. Remember to clean you stamps well when you have finished stamping. (this is how the flower background was created in the bottom card).

I think I have covered most of the things you need to know to get started stamping with bleach, most important have fun. These are two quick cards I made up when I came home after creating a number of bleach pieces.

Recipe for cards:
Stamps: Tulips - Outlines Rubber Stamps; Girls - Paperbag Studio; Verse - Hero Arts; Flower - unknown
Card: Hot Pink Card; White; Black
Other: Black Ink; Clear Embossing Powder; Bleach; Ribbon; Metal Charm.

Do you like the ribbon I used on the top card, my friend who I went with told me about some ribbon on sale today at a local store so after club we went shopping - 40 rolls of ribbon for $28 (that is cheap in Australia believe me). We also found some other ribbons in another store and then went elsewhere to find some card, charms and buttons - all in all it was a fun day!

Rubber!!!!!!

Look what arrived this afternoon while I was doing my sketch challenge!!!!!! Yahhhhhhh!!!! This is part birthday and part Mother's Day present so I will have to hand some over until Sunday but at least I will be able to keep a few to play with until then as my birthday was in March - it took me a while to decide what I was going to order. So what are the stamps, these are from MissyB Designs - they have some great sheets on their site and some are fairly new if you have checked it out lately. They also have one plate "Alexa's Set" the proceeds of which goes to Children's Cancer research!
