Up, Up & Away!

Hi everyone,

It’s Wednesday which means it’s time for this week’s Wednesday Stamp Club sketch over on the MFT Stamps Member Forum of SCS. It’s a nice fun easy sketch this week, I am sure you will love it!

For my card today I used MFT Stamps Inspired By - Up, Up and Away stamp set, the balloons were cut out using the MFT Die-namics Up, Up & Away which has recently been released by MFT Stamps to accompany the stamp set. I have used a number of other Die-namics on the front of my card which include:

• Die-namics Up, Up & Away
• Die-namics Open Scallop Doily DUO
• Die-namics Little Open Scallop Strip
• Die-namics Mini Tabs Foursome

Here is the inside of my card. I added two of the hot air balloons using the Die-namics Up, Up & Away Stamps & Die set. I also used the Die-namics Little Open Scallop Strip die again along the bottom of the card.

Treasure Life’s Little Moments!

It’s time for another Pretties Wednesday Challenge over on the Paper Pretties Blog. This week our challenge is use punches or die cuts on your card.

For my card today I used Paper Pretties Life’s Treasures Sophia. I decided to use my Grand Madison Window die and look out to an outdoor scene. I have also used MFT Die-namics Sunshine and a Spellbinders Label for the sentiment.

Aren’t they adorable!!!!!!!!!! I used Pure Innocence Cowboy for my card today using a recent sketch from Splitcoast Stampers (SC371). Of course I also had to use some of the cute charms from the Country Charms Die-namics die … what fun! I added the sentiment to one of the tabs from the Die-namics Mini Tabs Foursome die set.

Here is the inside of my card, both of the sentiments I used on my card (the inside and outside) are from the Country Charm Sentiments mini stamp set which is only available when you purchase the VIP kit. As you can see I also added more of the dies from the Country Charms Die-namics die set.

Going Around in Circles!

Hi everyone!

It’s challenge time again over on the Riley and Company blog. This week the challenge hostess is mwah!!!!

My challenge for everyone this week is Going Around in Circles! -  include circles on your creations, could be a circle card, use circles for layering, Designer Papers which include circles in their design and/or circle shaped embellishments.

I have used a number of circles on my card today. First up Riley is stamped in the centre of a circle, and most of the designer papers also have circles all over them except for the strip at the left. The brads are round, so there are more circles . The layout I used for my card is February’s SFYTT, such a fun sketch!

Of course we can’t forget cute Riley!!!!!!! This is Snowboarder Riley … doesn’t he look like he is having fun

It’s in the Bag!

Hi everyone,

I have a cute little scallop bag to share with you today. This was made using the Sizzix Eclips Albums, Bags & Boxes cartridge! Yes you guessed it, I recently purchased the Sizzix Eclips a couple of weeks ago and I have to say I love it!

Here is a side on view of my scallop bag, I decorated my bag using La-La Lands Craft Ballerina Marci, she is such a cutie don’t you think.

These were the very first things I cut using the Sizzix Eclips, actually the tiny pink one you can see on the right, was my very first thing, but as you can see I got my measurements wrong so it cut a very small bag. It was my fault as I was looking at the wrong measurements, it is actually much easier to get what size you need using this machine then the cricut. Now I know what I am doing, I should cut everything else correctly.

I couldn’t help but quickly decorate it anyway, just for kicks. I didn’t put too much effort into this one as you can probably tell LOL! I think it is cute though being so tiny.

It’s challenge time with the “Crazies” over on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog. This week our challenge hostess for February, Lynda Benden has given us another fun challenge.

Being the 3rd Saturday of the month it is also time for another sponsored challenge. This time round our sponsor is Ribbon Carousel. Ribbon Carousel have the perfect storage solutions for all those ribbons we tend to collect as well as a wide range of ribbons and twine.

Lynda loves polka dots and stripes together!! She knows…crazy huh?!?! Fits PERFECTLY for this group! Make a card or project with polka dots AND stripes!

For my card today I used another image from Stamp in Style. For those of you who live in the Brisbane area Stamp in Style is up for the Paper Crafts show at the RNA this weekend and this is one of the stamps that will be there. If you visit the show, come by and say hi as I will be there demoing.

I used some  black vintage seam binding ribbon which I pleated and then sewed down the middle of it and  then attached the ribbon to where the designer papers joined.

Peace Man!

Hi everyone,

It’s challenge time over on the Alota Rubber Stamps blog, this time round our challenge hostess is Cheryl Walker. Cheryl has challenged us to create shaped cards.

I have been wanting to create a quarter circle card for some time now,  so that is what I did. I cut my circle out using my Cricut and cut it in half to create the base of my card.

My card uses some of the new ‘hippie” images that have recently been released by Alota Rubber Stamps.

The main image is called Hippie Bugs, I also added one of the sentiments and die cut a peace sign to add to my twine on the side of my card.

 

For the inside of my card I added the sentiment Peace Love and Happiness and also the Peace Sign Border along the edge of my card.

Do you want to play along???? you can use any stamps you want, although if you have Alota Rubber Stamps we would love to see them on your cards.

The Butterfly ….

Hi everyone,

It’s challenge time again with my friends over on the CCEE Stampers challenge blog. This month it is Shirley Quarry’s turn to host the challenge.

Shirley has challenged us to make a white on white card. You may add color to your image and use a colored ribbon if you like.

I always love white on white cards, but only make them when I have to for a challenge! A while back I purchased this fabulous Butterfly die from Cherry Lynn which I decided I would use for this challenge. I embossed the white background layer and also added some ribbon which I pleated.
