Christmas Crackers

Hi everyone,

I hope you all enjoyed a wonderful day yesterday!

Each year for the past thirty odd years or so I have been creating my own Christmas crackers to use on Christmas Day. Last year for the first time I made the Square shaped Christmas Crackers using the We R Memory Keepers Envelope Maker, I loved the look of those so I decided to make more of those type of Crackers this year.

I also found some gorgeous Cream and Gold Designer Poster Board at my local Scrapbook Shop in dots and stripes which I decided to use this year.

To decorate my crackers I used Elizabeth Craft Designs Poinsettia die set. The bottom red layer and the small flower on top were die cut by adhering Clear Double Sided Adhesive Sheet to the red cardstock prior to die cutting and then covering the adhesive with True Red Silk Microfine Glitter. I die cut the solid flower again to make the leaves.

The striped crackers were for the males and the polka dot for the females.

Paper: Red; Green; Gold; Cream & Gold Polka Dot; Cream & Gold Stripe - We R Memory Keepers
Dies: Poinsettia - Elizabeth Craft Designs
Other ECD Products: Clear Double Sided Adhesive Sheet; True Red Silk Microfine Glitter
Other: Sheer Ribbon; Foam Tape

Butterfly

Butterfly-FileFolder-wm

Hi everyone,

As you know I have been having fun recently creating things using my Envelope Punch Border … it can do soooo many things other than just envelopes. I have already made a normal card size file folder card but recently my friend Sarah Gough posted on her blog a video on how she created a square file folder card. You can see Sarah’s video tutorial here I am not sure why I hadn’t thought to make square file folder cards but I will be making more of them in the future I am sure Smile.

For my card today I decorated it using the butterflies from the Sizzix For the Record 2 Tailored Thinlits.

Christmas Crackers

PTI-TreesCrackers

Hi everyone,

I have been playing with my Envelope Punch board again … this time to create these fun Christmas Crackers. You can only see three in the photo above but there is actually 4 in that pile Smile

PTI-TreesCrackers3-wm

To create these crackers I cut my card to measure 6 1/2 inches by 8 inches. Along the 6 1/2” edge I used my score board to score at 1 1/2”; 3”; 4 1/2” & 6 inches..

Along the 8 inch edge score at 1 1/2”; 2”; 2 1/2”; 5 1/2”; 6” and 6 1/2”

I used the Envelope Punch Border to punch along the lines scored along the 6 1/2 inch edge at 2 inches.

There are a number of videos online showing how to create these … here is one by Dee Slater I found if you are interested.

Christmas Gift Tags!

GiftTag-Santa2-wm

Hi everyone,

A few weeks ago while surfing either my blogs or Pinterest (I can’t remember which) I came across Jackie Topa’s blog post on how to create fun shaped Gift Tags using the Envelope Punch Board. As I am now the proud owner of one of these fun tools I decided to set to work and create some gift tags ready for Christmas … it was the kick I had needed.

You can find the instructions on how to create all the tags on this blog post over on Jackie’s blog here which also includes a video.

Here is a close up of one of my Santa tags, this stamp is an older Penny Black stamp I have had for some time. Jackie does include measurements on her video … but I am also including mine in this post so I have a quick reference when I need it Smile

White Card measures 2 1/2 inches x 4 inches; Colored Card measures 2 3/4 inches x 4 1/4 inches.

GiftTag-Ornament2-wm

I love the fun corners on this one which was created by just turning the card around and punching as you go.

GiftTag-Ornament-wm

Here is a close up of my gift tag … for this one I used MFT Stamps Banner Builder and MFT Stamps Christmas Ornaments stamp sets.

White Card measures 2 1/4 inches x 3 1/4 inches; Colored Card measures 2 1/2 inches x 3 1/2 inches.

And here are the last set of gift tags I created using the Envelope Punch Board for this one once you punch one corner you flip the card over to punch the opposite corner. As you can see I added hemp cord to one of my gift tags to dress it up. Not sure if I will bother doing the others yet, it will depend on who gets the gift card.

And here is a close up of my gift card … this one reminds me of a Christmas Cracker of bonbon. Again I have used an older Penny Black Stamp to decorate this gift tag.

White Card measures 2 1/4 inches x 3 1/4 inches; Colored Card measures 2 1/2 inches x 3 1/2 inches.

I had lots of fun creating these and I was able to use up lots of scraps which is a bonus!

Gift Card Holders

SantaGiftCardHolder-wm

Hi everyone,

Today I have two gift card holders that I created using the Envelope Punch Board.

To decorate my gift card holders I used the Sizzix/Tim Holtz Retro Christmas Stamp & Framelits set.

I couldn’t decide whether I liked Santa stamped in black or red so I used both … my daughter preferred the black one and I preferred the red one.

Here is the gift card holder using the Santa stamped in red.

And here is the gift card holder using Santa stamped in black.

I love that all the stamped pieces used on this could be die cut using the dies which came in the set.

And here is the inside of the gift card holder.

Stamps: Retro Christmas – Sizzix/Tim Holtz
Paper: White; Red; Green; December Documented – Simple Stories

Cute as a Button!

BathFileFolder2-wm

Hi everyone,

Recently there have been a number of File Folder cards on Pinterest that were created using the Envelope Punch Board …. which convinced me that I needed to purchase this tool. I am not big on making envelopes but I did like what else other people have been creating using it.

There are a number of different ways to create the tabs on the card. I decided to keep both the front and the back tabs level.

I decorated my file folder using a stamp from Kraftin’ Kimmies Stamps.

BathFileFolder3-wm

I decorated the inside of my file folder by adding a strip of designer paper and another sentiment … this sentiment was created using my computer.

Stamps: Lovely Lulu – Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps
Paper: White; Yellow; Orange; Beach Boardwalk DP – Carta Bella
Other: Black Ink; Envelope Punch Board; Lifestyle Crafts Nesting Frames 3; Foam Tape; Copics
