Alota Rubber Stamps Blog Hop!

alota-Easter-Chocholder-wm

Hi everyone and welcome to the Alota Rubber Stamps blog hop.

The hop started at Helene’s Alota Rubber Stamps Blog, so if you didn’t start from there you may want to head over there now so that you can start at the beginning of the hop. You don't want to miss anything and believe me there is lots to see!

Today the Design Team are featuring stamps from the new “Under The Arbor Collection” which were design by the new artist Lisa Michaels. These stamps are all available individually and are available to purchase from Alota Rubber Stamps NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!

We are also welcoming two brand new members to our design team, Andrea Pierron and Ria Van Son, I am sure you will love their creations.

My project today uses “Bunny Blossoms”, isn’t it a sweet bunny! I decided with Easter just around the corner to create a Chocolate Box Holder to use as an Easter Gift. I stamped the bunny onto scrap white card and cut it out and attached it to my circle using foam tape.

Here is the inside of my chocolate box, both sentiments included on this box are also from Alota Rubber Stamps.

Puppy Love!

alota-girldogs-wm

Hi everyone, and happy Sunday to you all, yes it is already Sunday for me down here in Australia! I hope you are enjoying a wonderful weekend.

My card today is another sneak peek at one of the new stamps that will be released by Alota Rubber Stamps on Monday 8th March. This time round I used the “Puppy Love Girl”, isn’t she a sweetie!

The layout of my card uses a recent “Sweet Sunday Sketch” (SSSC57), this is a great layout to use up some of those scraps, although I must admit I didn’t use scraps to create this one hehe!

I will be back tomorrow (Sunday 7th March 10pm EST) with the rest of the Alota Rubber Stamps Design Team for our blog hop to celebrate the release.

Don’t forget to check out the rest of the Design Team to see what they have come up with today.

Greetings!

Alota-Greetingsa-wm

Greetings everyone,

It’s day 2 of the sneak peeks for the new stamps to be released by Alota Rubber Stamps on Monday 8th March. My card today uses the new “Umbrella Girl“ stamp, this so reminded me of oriental that I had to use some of my new designer paper on this card. The Greeting’s Sentiment is an older stamp also by Alota.

It’s also time for another challenge over on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog. Of course being a new month means we also have a new hostess which this month is Barbara Anders. This week, Barb has challenged us to add some paper piercing to our cards/projects. I added my piercing to the top left hand corner of my red panel of my card.

I used last week’s SFYTT sketch challenge for the layout of my card, although I did flip the sketch so that the image could go on the other side of my card.

Don't forget to check out the rest of the “Crazies” cards over on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog and also their individual blogs for more details.

I will be back again tomorrow with yet another Alota Rubber Stamps sneak peek to share with you all.

The layout of my card uses a sketch posted by The Sweet Stop last Sunday, (SSS45).

Don’t forget to check out the rest of the Design Team’s blogs to see what they have created using the new stamps. I will be back again tomorrow with another sneak peek to share with you all.

Bunny Babies x 4!

CCEE-Alota-Inspiration-wm

Hi everyone,

It’s Thursday which means it is time for another challenge with my friends over on the CCEE Stampers challenge blog. Being a brand new month means we have a brand new hostess for our challenges, which is Tosh Leyendekker.

For our challenge today Tosh has given us an Inspiration challenge, not my favorite type of challenge but I won’t complain too much hehe. It is probably pay back for that monkey card I made her create last year *wink*.

What I saw when I looked at the picture of the food which is below, was 4 separate sections (plates) sitting on a larger layer (plate) …. so I turned my inspiration into a sketch … my favorite type of challenge hehe!

I am just loving these Alota Bunny Babies so decided to use those to create my card and seeing there were girl and boy bunny babies went with a pink and blue color theme.

4th Marcha We would all love to see what you create using this picture as your Inspiration.

Don’t forget to check out the CCEE Stampers blog (goes live 12 AM EST) to see the rest of the creations the CCEE Stampers created this week. You can also see more details of their creations on their individual blogs:

I’ll Be There to Hop & Shop!

MFT Jolinne Love You2 wm

It’s release day over on MFT Stamps, which means it is time to join the MFT Stamps Design Team for another "Blog Hop and Shop!".

The hop started at Kim's (MFT Lady) blog so if you didn’t start from there you may want to head over there now so that you can start at the beginning of the hop. You don't want to miss anything and believe me there is lots to see!

My first card today uses one of the new Jolinne stamp sets, Love You Jolinne $15.95 which you can find over on the MFT Stamps store here.

One of the things I love about this stamp set is the different look you can give the stamp by either add the grass around the rock or leaving it off. The grass comes as two separate stamps is and very easy to stamp onto the rock without having to mask the image. I stamped Jolinne onto my card and after adding the grass I airbrushed the green for the grass area and the blue for the sky. The pink button used on the front of my bow is also available from MFT Stamps, Scoop o'Buttons - Chocolate Kiss Collection.

Here is the inside of my card, using one of the sentiments that is included in the stamp set.

My second card today uses one of the new Pure Innocence stamps called PI 4 Leaf Clover. Again the button used on my ribbon is from the Scoop o'Buttons - Chocolate Kiss Collection and I also used Glittered Garnishes - Chocolate Kiss in the top right hand corner of my card.

I used the Mojo Sketch Challenge Mojo127 for the layout of this card, and paper pieced the girls top and pants.

mft-goodluck-wm

Here is the inside of my card, I used one of the sentiments from the set and also stamped the little girl again in the lower right hand corner of my card.

Well that is about it from me for today, now it is time to hop on over to the marvellous Melody Rupple's blog and see what awesome creation she has to share with you today.

Enjoy the rest of the hop and thanks for dropping by! Don't forget to leave comments on all the blogs, you never know who may be giving away blog Candy!!

Who’s That Birthday Girl????

MFT-Birthday-Girl-tier-slid
Hi again,

I have another MFTeaser to share with you today, this time using the new WTG set for this month, which is called “Who’s That Birthday Girl?” This set along with all the other stamps to be released this month will be available from MFT Stamps after the release party tonight, Wednesday 3rd March.

This is a fun set …. besides having the girl carrying the birthday cake, there are a number of different sentiments included in the set. Also birthday candles in the shape of numbers so you can create an aged birthday card for whatever age your heart desires. Normal candles to add to the cake and some more tiers for the cake.

Recently when I was checking out the new blog posts in my Google reader I came across a post by Heather Summers on how to create a Three Tier Slider Card … well as soon as I saw this it reminded me of the cake the girl is holding and of course I had to create one myself. I adapted the measurements to suit my image and stamps as hers is much smaller then mine … but they are easy enough to adapt for whatever purpose you want.

For my top photo you can see the card closed. I paper pieced both the cake and the dress. I added the candles “3” & “4” to the top of the cake. My eldest DD is turning 34 this year so I will probably give this to her.

MFt-Birthday-Girl-tier3-wm

Here is my slider card with the second tier showing. The sentiment used in the second tier is from the new “Clearly Sentimental about Birthdays” set which is another of the sets to be released tonight.

MFt-Birthday-Girl-tier2-wm
And finally here is my card with the third tier showing, see how it looks like the three tiers of the birthday cake the girl is holding!

Don’t forget to visit Kim’s blog any time after 11AM EST to get the list of which Design Team members are also featuring this set on their blogs today.

I did flip the sketch to suit the layout of my image I wanted to use.

This week the challenge is to add the color green to your color combo! Pretty easy don’t you think!

Ciao!

MFT-Joyride-wm

Hi everybody,

It’s day 2 of the MFTeasers, in preparation of the release of the new stamp sets which are all due to be released by MFT Stamps this coming Wednesday 3rd March.

Today the Design Team are featuring two of the new stamp sets that will be released, these include: “Joyride” and “Clearly Sentimental About You”.

For my card today I used the new “Joyride” stamp set … what a fun set and look at that adorable little puppy watching the girl drive away! I stamped my image twice, once on the white card that I used for the base of my image and a second one on white scrap which I cut out to mount over the top of the first. *Tip* always color your bottom image at least around the edges where it can be seen when you turn your card at an angle, it looks so much better. I also used my copic airbrush to create the road and the sky on the base card.

MFT-Joyride2-wm

Here is the inside of my card, I added one of the other sentiments included in the set and also one of the two pieces of luggage also included.

Before you go .... don't forget this month's MFT Stamps Guest Designer Challenge. This month the challenge is to incorporate vintage book text or sheet music into your creations. Challenge entries will be due Tuesday, March 2, by 10 pm EST. To be considered, upload to SCS using keyword: MFTGUESTDT0310. The winner will be announced in the release party thread on March 3rd by 8:45 p.m. EST.
