Clearly Sentimental About …..

MFT-ClearlyChristmas-wm

Hi everyone,

Welcome to day 3 of the MFTeasers in preparation of the release of the new stamp sets which are all due to be released by MFT Stamps this coming Tuesday 1st November.

Today the Design Team are featuring two of the new stamp sets that will be released, these are: Clearly Sentimental About Abundance and Clearly Sentimental About Christmas (which will be October’s Triple Scoop set).

Two I have two cards featuring the Clearly Sentimental About Christmas, these sentiments are a perfect addition to use on all those Christmas cards we are all madly trying to create before Christmas.

For my first card I used the Merry Christmas sentiment from this stamp set. I also used two of the new MFT Die-namics on the front of my card …  the Die-namics Icicle Border and the Die-namics Loopy Bloom which I just love! This time round I cut the die in half once it was die cut and then joined the two pieces together, so I had a long strip & then rolled it to create a fringe flower rather than a loopy flower. I love how this Die-namics has soooo many options on how to use it.  Check out Jody Morrow’s awesome Loopy Bloom Flower tutorial to see all the different ways you can use this die-namic!

Here is the inside of my card. I used another of the Christmas sentiments from the Clearly Sentimental About Christmas set. The designer paper I used here had Christmas ornaments on them … but I covered them up using the new MFT Die-namics Christmas Ornament dies … these are such fun dies!

For my second card today I decided to use one of the sentiments from the Clearly Sentimental About Christmas to create a Christmas Tree.

The branches are created using the smallest ribbon from the Die-namics First Place Award Ribbon Die. To create the shorter branches I put the strip back into the die moving it along slightly so that it cut shorter. For the snow I used the new Die-namics WoNkY Scallops Border die. The star on the top of the tree is from the new Die-namics Christmas Ornaments die.

Here is the inside of m y card …. I used the new Die-namics Icicle Border along the bottom strip on my card. The sentiment uses two Die-namics …. Die-namics Vintage Cameo Frame and the Die-namics Layered Labels Die.

Frances - what beautiful cards! I love how you put the icicle die cut under the sentiment in the first one and the inside of that card could be a card on it's own. Your tree in the second one is very creative - love it!
