Holly Jolly Christmas

Hi Crafty Friends,

It’s challenge time with the “Crazies” over on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog. As challenge hostess for the month, I continue to issue the challenge.

Today is our final challenge for 2020 and also for all time. After 13 years the time has come to say goodbye to Crazy 4 Challenges. Over the years we have had some amazing card makers participate in the weekly challenges either as Design Team members, Guest Designers and also people playing along with us. Thank you to all of you who have supported us over the years.

Our last challenge for the year has been for many years has been to create a card using your favorite "Crazy" sketch from the year ... as we are doing again this year from our 2021 sketch challenges.

For my card today I decided to use our sketch from our June Sketch Challenge ... C4C589.

Hero Arts My Monthly Hero Kit for November 2021, focused on dies which could be used to create character shaped gift tags or cards. The characters included Santa, an elf; reindeer and snowman. When I saw the sneak peeks before the release I knew this was something I must have, so to be safe I got up at 3.30am to place my order to make sure it wasn't sold out. As it happened there were still some around when I finally got up the next morning, but they didn't stay available for long. I used the dies to create an elf and Santa for the front of my card.

I used Slimline dies from Picket Fence Studios to create the patterned paper layer for my card. For the strips down the left side of the card I used a die from Trinity Stamps Slimline Stitched Strips.

I added the Merry Christmas sentiment for the middle of the card.

For the inside of my card I created a Double Pop-up card using Karen Burniston's Katherine Label Pop-up die set. I added a Christmas sentiment to the top right pop-up. For the bottom left pop-up I added Rudolph which was also created using the Hero Arts November 2021 kit.

Don't forget to check out the rest of the “Crazies” cards over on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog and also their individual blogs for more details.

Wow - that's dedication, getting up so early just to buy a die set. Love what you did with it here.
