Happy Birthday

 

Hi Crafty Friends,

Today I am sharing a birthday themed Mini Slimline card I created using a new die I received for Christmas. 

This is a fairly simple card, I wanted something simple to make on Boxing Day (the day after Christmas), that wouldn't take too long and this was perfect.

I used a Dare 2B Artzy's Slim-Mini Birthday die set. This Mini Slimline card measures 3 1/4 inches x 6 inches. I die cut the "Happy Birthday" die included in the die set, twice, once from white cardstock and once for orange and adhered the two together offsetting the white over the orange to create a shadow. I layered this onto blue cardstock and then onto the pretty patterned paper. I was originally going to use yellow glitter cardstock in place of the blue panel, because the patterned paper has pretty yellow flowers over it, but the flowers are mostly hidden when you add the different layers so I decided on blue instead.

For the inside of my card, I added a little of the patterned paper along the bottom of the card, (you can see those pretty yellow flowers I mentioned earlier). I also added a sentiment using Honey Bee Stamps Thinking of You Big Time stamp & coordinating die set.
