Triple Treat!

Hi everyone,

It’s Saturday which means it’s time for another challenge with the “Crazies” over on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog. Our challenge hostess Joycelyn Turner brings us another fun challenge this week.

A Triple Treat Card – use 3 punches or dies; 3 different embellishments and 3 different papers (yes cardstock counts as paper)

As you can see I have created another Christmas card. For the 3 punches/dies I used 3 Spellbinders Die, the 2010 Heirloom Ornament, the 2011 Heirloom Ornament &  the Wonky Rectangles Nestabilities. The Stamp set used here is the JustRite Deck the Halls which fits both the Heirloom Ornament sets from Spellbinders. The 3 different embellishments are the brads in the corners of my card, the ribbon and the stitching around my card. The Papers I have used 3 Designer Papers (one is on inside) and 3 card … so maybe I cheated a bit there ops!



Here is the inside of my card, I haven’t stamped a sentiment as there was on already on the paper.

Happy Birthday Susan!

Hi everyone

It is time for another challenge over on the Alota Rubber Stamps Paper Craft Planet Group. This week the challenge is hosted by Susan Uncle. You have two weeks from today to participate in this challenge and you also have a chance of winning some wonderful stamps if you card is selected randomly from all the entries received.

Susan’s birthday is in June and her favorite color is blue which is why she is also called Blue Robot so her challenge for us this time round was to create a Birthday card that was blue. There were a couple of stamps I tossed up about using as they all would have suited Susan but in the end these cute bees won hehe. This stamp is called “Susan’s Birthday Celebration” …. another reason why I chose this image seeing it was named after her! I also know she loves the bees/bugs that Alota Rubber Stamps sell hehe!

The sentiment I used here is from the JustRite Stampers oval birthday set … I couldn’t resist using it and the sentiment so fits this Alota image.

Here is the inside of my card. I recently attended a stamping/scrapbooking show and managed to get some of the fun EK Success border punches … this candle one being one of them. So of course I just had to use it on my card, as I had already done the outside of the card before getting this punch I decided to use it on the inside instead. Lots more candles for Susan to blow out hehe!

Hello again!

It is time for another challenge over on the Pink Elephant! This week it is a color challenge with the colors being: Bright Pink, Chocolate & White. The design team also got to use a digital stamp from The Greeting Farm … I love their stamps!!!

If you haven’t tried digital stamps they are fun and easy … you don’t have to pay for postage. Most of them you get them immediately after you check out and you can print them in any size you want.

I selected Dorothy Anya to create my card today. I also used Taylor’s Taylored Expressions Cupcake Challenge (TECC70) sketch for the layout of my card.

Recently I created a card that had a large button threaded through my ribbon, this reminded me that a year or two ago I purchased a heap of Making Memories grommets which I haven’t done much with … if you bend the prongs down these are perfect to thread through your ribbon so I will be using these a lot more in the future.

Jurassically Awesome!

Hi all … I am back today with three more Hanna Stamps sneak peeks of the new stamps that will be released after the release party this Monday 1st June. Today I am using the new “Stamposaurus” set.

This is such a fun set …. which little boy doesn’t love dinosaurs and I am sure there are many little girls that love them too *smile*

For my first card I created a scene using some of the stamps from this set. I stamped the children first, then I masked these and stamped the barrier fence. This was also masked and then I stamped my dinosaur. I drew in the floor line and used a scrunched tissue to create the texture on the wall of my card. 

I used just the dinosaur on its own for my second card, sponging around the edges. The layout is a SCS sketch #SC229 … I flipped and mirrored it so that I could have the dinosaur on the left side of my card.

For both of my first 2 cards I used the Basic Grey Archaic designer papers.

My final card today uses all of the children/people in the set. The fun thing about these kids is that other then the group of 3 girls that you can see at the very right of my card the others are individual stamps so you can use however many you want to and in any order you like. I just placed them all onto an acrylic mount and then stamped them once and then stamps just 4 of them again to fill the length of my strip of card.

This card reminded me of how when you get a few people together, more people come over to see what’s happening …. creating a card. Which obviously inspired the sentiment that I used here. This was created using the Justrite Stampers alphabet set.

IMAMUTTNUT!

Hi everyone, and thanks for visiting my blog.

My card today is for the challenge I do each week with my CCEE Stamper friends. This week the challenge is for our monthly CNFS (Creative Name Featured Stamper) challenge, where someone selects an interesting user name of someone over on SCS and we make our cards around that.

This month Deb our challenge hostess for May selected “imamuttnut” and instructed us that our card had to have a dog on it.

After looking through all my dog stamps I decided to use this one from High Hopes stamps …. it looks like this little boy could be sharing his ice cream with his dog so maybe he is a “muttnut” too hehe!

Our Precious Baby!

Well I am back today as promised to reveal which baby photo was mine ..... did you guess right??? If you have no idea what I am talking about go back to yesterday's "Which Baby Am I?" post.

Here is a quick recap! Cindy Motherway challenged my CCEE Stamper friends and I to:
Make a card using your baby picture This is going to be a limited supply baby picture card because we want our cards to not look like our cards, get it?

Here is what you cannot do:
· No fancy edges or borders using a fancy punch of any kind, no scallops, no nestabilities, no nuttin!
· No fancy primas, no brads, no eyelets, no charm, no ordinary or extraordinary embellishments.
· No sewing on any of the cards and no Thomas Kincaid landscapes!
· No over the top, crazy complicated, triple and quadruple layered sketches!

Here is what you must do:
· You must use a piece of ribbon.
· You can use as many different colors of cardstock/designer paper as you wish.
· You must make your baby picture the main panel, main focus.
· You can use stamped images with your baby picture as long as your picture is the main focus.
· You must try to keep away from what you feel is your signature look.

Now I am not a big fan of photo cards at the best of times ... no offense to those who make them ... but they aren't something I like to make. So when I first heard of this challenge I went arghhhhhhhhhhhh .... but ok I am in!

Then we get all the do's and don'ts ............ more arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh's and not just from me this time LOL! Anyway all month I have been told by Cindy that I will be toast if I don't do this challenge right .... I have kept telling her I like toast ..... but if she wants to come get me I am all for it bwahahahahaahahaha!

How cruel to tell us we can't use brads, eyelets, scallops, nestabilities etc .... sheesh! Now she didn't mention pearls ... not directly so I added them oops!



We were allowed to use stamps .... ok so I had to use my new JustRite Stampers baby stamps that I got for Christmas ..... that is my friend Tosh's fault that I got hooked on these and also Michelle from Stampers Dream too. So I am blaming them a little for what happened next .... big oops!!!!!!!!! How did that scallop border get around that image .... really I have no idea!

Ok so i flunked this challenge ... this is as limited as I could go .... and now Cindy will be after me ... am I scared .... nah ........ she is always flunking challenges, even this one ... she forgot her ribbon bwahahahahahahahaha!

My card today uses one of the new images from Spiral Whispers .... this is created by designer Helz Cuppleditch whose designs were released by Spiral Whispers in December.

If you haven't visited Spiral Whispers web site or blog recently you may wish to do so as they have a number of fantastic new designs that have either been released or about to be released.

The sentiment used here is from the "Harmony Classic Oval Stamper 1 Ensemble" by JustRite Stampers.

Spiral Whispers has also just released stamps from two new designers today ... Kate Smith and Adam Clay ... you can see both these new designers stamps under the January release section on the Spiral Whispers web site.

Congratulation Bugs!

My card today uses stamps from Alota Rubber Stamps. The glass is one of the new images that was released this month. The cute little bugs that is sitting on top of the glass is normally sitting on top of an anthill, but as I wanted them to be on the glass for this card, I stamped the image onto white card and cut out just the bugs and then attached them to the card using foam tape.

I layered the main image using my large rectangle nestabilities, I cut out two rectangles from the red card and then joined them to get the size I needed. The designer paper and black card along the bottom edge of the card were punched using the lace doily border punch.

The sentiment used here is from the Harmony Classic Oval Stamper 1 Stamp Assemble from Just Rite Stamps. This is a set of stamps which contains 6 centre (sentiments) and 6 borders that you can intermix. I selected to just use one of the centres for my card today.

JustRite Acetate Box

I am sure everyone is busy out there with preparations for their Christmas festivities. One of the things I do every year is make a box which I will then use to hold a special treat that my DH likes ... it is just an extra little thing I like to get for him.

This year I decided to make an acetate box ... mine is a little large then I have normally made it as I wanted to use these new JustRite Stampers Christmas stamps I received from a friend last week. These are the first JustRite Stampers stamps I have gotten and I have to say I am hooked. They are sooo much fun ... you get a number of centres and a number of borders and you can mix and match. Or as I have done for my project today, just use the centres!

The box is still empty at the moment because I still have to get the goodies to put inside but at least the box is now finished and ready. One more job done!
