My card today uses Paper Pretties ‘Home Sweet Home” set …. I also used this week’s Paper Pretties sketch challenge PWC58 for the layout of my card. This looks better in real life than it may do here, sometimes it is so hard to get the colors perfect when you are taking photos!

Bark Worthy Bites!

mft-bones-wm

I am back today with a couple of MFTeasers to share with you. The items shown here use the new “Puppy Chow” Label set which will be released by MFT Stamps on Wednesday 1st July.

This set is part of the Perfect Packaging range of stamps and supplies which are all available over on the MFT Stamps site here. Of course as this set hasn’t been released as yet it won’t show up on the site until after the release party but you will be able to see all the other Perfect Packaging products available right now.

mft-bone-bag-wm

I decided to do something different with this set and create a doggy treat for my best mate and also a card. Seeing the treats I was giving him are bone shaped I decided to create bone shaped cards and packaging for my treats.

mft-bone-card-wm

Here is the card I created to match the treat packaging … the front is the same as the packaging. The red buttons used on both projects are from the Scoop o’Buttons – Summer Collection from MFT Stamps.

Here is the inside … I combined the sentiment “tail waggin’” with parts of sentiments from other MFT sets to create the sentiment that I used here “Have a Tail Waggin’ Day!”

Walk on the Wild Side!

PE-Fav-colors-wm

Hi again!

I am back again today, this time with my card for this week’s Pink Elephant challenge. This week the challenge was to use our favorite colors and the design team were also using stamps from DRS Designs.

The stamps I used are “Jimbo and the Gang” and “Walk on the Wild side” you can find both of these stamps here. I just fell in love with this cute image.

Ok so about my favorite colors which I had to use for my card. Well when it comes to card making I have a ton of favorite colors I like to use. And this can vary depending on my mood and what stamps I want to use etc. One of my favorite combos is brown with another color … I especially love pink and/or blue with brown although just about any color works great with it. Another I love is mustard and brown which is what I ended up going with for my card. What will your favorite colors be??

Stamps: Jimbo & the Gang; Walk on the Wild side – DRS Designs

Puttin’ On The Glitz!

mft-ccee-glitz1-wm

Happy Monday everyone! I hope you all enjoyed your weekend!

My card today features the new “Puttin’ On The Glitz” stamp set that will be released by MFT Stamps this Wednesday 1st July. I gotta say I am really loving this stamp set!!!!!!!

Of course Monday’s means that it is challenge time with my CCEE Stamper friends. This week Charlene challenged us all with a supply challenge, she sent us out the following:

  • Pink Designer Paper
  • Two Chocolate Brads
  • One pink gemstone brad
  • Two ribbons: One pink & one chocolate
  • One chocolate oval all punch & two white oval punchies (although I only got one *wink*)
  • One pink pirouette curly label punchie

Charlene’s instructions were that we:

  • must use all or a portion of the designer paper ( I used it at the top portion of my card)
  • must use either the pink gemstone brad or chocolate brads or both if we liked. ( I used the chocolate on the top corners of my card
  • must use a portion or all of one of the ribbons or both if we liked ( I used the chocolate ribbon)
  • must use either the oval all punch & oval punch shapes together or the curly label punch or both if we liked (this is the part I almost got buzzed on cause the brown layer wasn’t working for my card as I had use pink for the other layers and was almost willing to be buzzed … Charlene would do it believe me *wink* but then I found my label punch and used that to layer under the brown oval and I was happier … so no buzzing here hehe!

I used the Mojo91 sketch challenge for the layout of my card. I also paper pieced the girls dress & hat.

mft-ccee-glitz-wm

Here is the inside of my card. The sentiment is also included in the new MFT Stamps “Puttin’ on the Glitz” set. Isn’t that a fun sentiment! I also used my new EK Success wavy dot punch to create the dotted border on my card.

Catch Some Rays!

mft-catch-rays-box1-wm Hi everyone!

Today is the start of the MFTeasers …. MFT Stamps will have 4 new stamps to release after the release party this Wednesday 1st July 8pm EST over on the MFT Stamps Member Forum of SCS.

My project today uses the new "who’s that girl” set for this month which is called “Catch Some Rays”. A few week’s back one of the My Favorite Challenges which are held each Thursday over on the MFT Stamps Member Forum for SCS was to create an Easel Box which was designed by Jody Morrow. At the time I didn’t get a change to play along but as I really wanted to try one of these boxes I decided to create one using this stamp set. If you would like to try one of these boxes you can find the template over on the MFT Stamps web site here.

mft-catch-rays-box-wm

Here is another view of my box so you can see how it is an Easel shape. I paper pieced the girl bikini using the same designer paper that I used to create the box. This is also my entry for this week’s My Favorite Challenge over on the MFT Stamps Member Forum of SCS which was to use paper piercing on your card.

Would you like the chance to win this month’s entire new release. Head on over to the MFT Member forum to find out details on the new MFT “One-Click Contest”, some lucky person will be a winner!

Rubadubdub!

elzy-bath-group-wm

It is release day over on Elzybells Art Stamps, so I have couple more sneak peeks to share with you today. Both my projects today use the new “Rubadubdub” set.

elzy-bath-card-wm

My card I created using this fun set uses the SFYTT sketch from 13th June. I also used the new bubbles stamp to create the background on the three panels. If you look at both my projects you will notice that the girl on my card is holding a glass of wine whereas your my box doesn’t this is an option that this set gives you.

elzy-bath-salts-wm This is a little shaker box that I filled with bath salts. I am having fun making these little shaker boxes which were created using a Sizzix die…. so easy! After cutting out the box I stamped the box all over using the bubbles stamp which btw is a separate stamp not included in the set.

elzy-bath-salts-in-wm Here is my shaker box open … you can see the bath salts that I also made showing through the clear opening.

Don’t forget that the rest of the Elzybells design team will also have some sneak peeks to share with you today so check them out too … you can find the list of names on my side bar.

Wanna Stay In Tonight??

mojo90-takeout-wm

Hi everyone!

It is Tuesday which means it is time for another Paper Pretties card from me. My card this week uses the Flirty Fortunes set.

This card covers two different challenges, first up it uses the Mojo90 sketch challenge from a few weeks ago.

The other challenge I used is this week’s Paper Pretties challenge PWC57 which is a Stitch in time. You have to incorporate stitching or some kind of sewing into your project. Faux stitching counts too! It has been a while since I have used my sewing machine so I dusted that off and sewed around the edge of the base card and also the green diamond layer underneath the image panel.

How to Enter the challenge: make a project incorporating stitching or some kind of sewing (faux stitching too) and any Paper Pretties stamp set(s). Upload the card to the Paper Pretties gallery. Please include it in the Weekly Challenges category and use keyword PWC57.
Deadline: midnight on Wednesday, June 24th.
Prize: $5.00 coupon to the Paper Pretties Boutique.

Stamps: Flirty Fortunes – Paper Pretties

Paper: White; Old Olive, Tangerine Tango & Haiku DP – SU

Have a Bee-autiful Day!

alota-tri-shutter-wm

Happy Monday everyone and hope you are all having a “Bee-autiful Day”

Of course it is time for another challenge with my CCEE Stamper friends. This week Charlene gave us an Inspiration challenge, which I don’t often do. We were instructed to go to Anna Wight’s photo gallery blog and select a photo to use for inspiration for our cards.

As you might be able to tell if you clicked on the link above I selected the photo of the sunflower for my card. I had such fun last week doing my Tri Shutter card for last week’s challenge that I decided to do another one this week … but this time I used Bonnie’s other tutorial which shows how to create the card so that you have a full card at the front rather than half card … you can see her other tutorial here.

I used Alota Rubber Stamps “Sunflowers for Grace” to create my card … this is one of Alota’s newest bug stamps.

alota-tri-shutter-front-wm

Here is how my card looks closed. As you can see I added paper piercing to both right hand corners of my card and a bow to the bottom of the sunflower.

Don’t forget to check out the CCEE Stampers blog (goes live 12 AM EST) to see the rest of the CCEE Stampers creations this week. You will also find details on how you can play in this challenge.

Hi everyone.
It's time for another rebus, I know there are a few of you out there that enjoy trying to solve these. I love seeing your comments with your solutions each month.

If you would like to solve it, why not post a comment to this blog post with your answers. I will let you know what the correct answers are next time I post a rebus card here.

Here is the solutions for the last rebus I posted a couple of weeks ago, which was “Breakfast Foods”

  • Bacon & Eggs
  • Crumpets
  • Rice Bubbles (I think this one tricked some of you hehe)
  • Coffee
  • Pancakes
  • Scrambled Eggs
  • Cornflakes

You can find all my past rebus cards here.

You’re #1

hanna-soccer-hinge-wm

Happy Saturday everyone, hope you are enjoying your weekend.

My card today is for two challenges ... first up it is for this week's Hanna Stamps Friday challenge over on the Hanna Stamps member forums of SCS. This week Sandra MacLean is hosting the challenge and her challenge is a 4th of July Tribute to create a card with a star(s) and stripes on it.

The Our Creative Corner challenge this week was also "All About Stars" so of course I combined my card for both challenges.

I used Soccer Riley that was released by Hanna Stamps earlier in the month, to create a Hinge card. The stars of course is the star designer paper that I used for the bottom of my card and of course the star that I stamped my sentiment onto. The stripes are the distressed stripes I added to the red portion of my card using the Distress stripes cuttlebug embossing folder.

I used a soccer ball brad as the hinge so that the top portion of my card could be opened.

hanna-soccer-hinge-2-wm

Here is my card when I open up the top portion.

Don't forget to check out the rest of the OCC Designers cards over on the OCC Blog.
