For The Love Birds Pop It Ups

Hi everyone,

Today I have another card using the new range of the new “Pop It Ups” range of dies designed by Karen Burniston for Elizabeth Crafts Designs.

Karen has a video explaining her new Pop Up dies which you can find here.

Today I decided to create a pop up card using the Pop It Ups Lucy Label Pop-Up Die. I love the versatility of the thin dies give me when creating pop up cards. I can decide the width and height of the card I want to make … I can even decide whether I want the pop up centred or to one side. With all these dies Karen has really thought about everything we might need to use when creating a pop up. This die set even has slit dies which are so cool.

Before I went shopping the other day I decided to check out a cheap shop that sells designer papers. I just fell in love with this cute love birds designer paper … I thought it would make a fun card for someone.

At the top of the designer paper I used the Agatha Edges die set to create the shape of the designer paper and also to add the pink flourish under the shaped edge. This pop up has two tiers so for the top tier I used the embossed heart die from the Heart Pivot Card set.

Here is the front of my card. I used two of the labels from the Accordion Fancy Label die set. The bird and sentiment are from MFT Stamps.

Stamps: Comtempo Cage – MFT Stamps
Paper: White; Red; Pink; DP – PortaCraft
Dies: Lucy Label Pop-Up; Agatha Edges; Heart Pivot Card; Accordion Fancy Label – Karen Burniston/Elizabeth Crafts Design
Other: Black Ink; Red Ink; Pink Ink; Red Ribbon; Foam Tape

Isn't it great when patterned paper does a lot of the work for you. BUT making Pop It Up cards is too fun to be considered work. Wonderful card Frances.
