Happy 15th Birthday

Hi Crafty Friends,

Today I am sharing a birthday card I created for my grandson who turned 15 this year. He has just discovered the joy of reading comics and especially loves the comic called One Piece, I have been helping encouraging him by ordering more as he needs them.

For this card I used products from Made To Surprise by Sam Calcott. This card is a Triple Tier Slider Card and I used her die set to create that.

I decorated the larger panel of my card using Sam's Changing Faces die sets, there are now 4 different die sets which include different styles of heads, hair, facial features etc. I used the Because I Care die set for the head and hair. For the facial features I used Love & Hugs die set. I love how you can customise the faces to get them to look like the recipient.

I used the pop up additions to add the headphones & book.

I found some One Piece Clip art online which I used to decorate my book/comic.

When you pull the top tab it reveals the middle panel. For this I used the Large Modern Numbers to add "15".

Pulling the top once more reveals the final tier. For this I used another piece of clip art I found online.

Here is a look at the back of my card. I added a stand to the back, so the card can be displayed standing easily. I added sentiments from the Moving Along Sentiments stamp set.

The "For My Grandson" at the top of the panel is from Spellbinders Nearest & Dearest Stamp set which was their Clear Stamp of the Month for March 25.

It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like

Hi Crafty Friends,

Yeah ok … so it’s not beginning to look like Christmas just yet! It’s still seven months away, we can all keep breathing haha.

I finally got my hands on a few Christmas themed die sets I have been after from last year, so I decided to pull one out to play. This one is the Festive Friends die set which was Spellbinders October 2024 Small Die of the month, I recently came on sale on the Spellbinders web site, so I grabbed one.

For my card I created a Centre Step Card which I turned into a Centre Step Easel Card, I used an old Cheery Lynn Designs die set, which has long been retired. I have linked to a couple of others, the Divinity Designs one is exactly the same, but I like the insert for the inside on the one I used.

To add the panel to turn my card into an Easel Card, I cut a piece of Cardstock that was 5 1/2 inches x 6 inches and then scored along the 6 inch side at 1/2 inch, I then used the 1/2 inch tab to attach to the back of the card.

I went a little crazy with the penguins, making seven all up, I assembled two upside down, so that they were facing the opposite way, so they weren’t all the same.

I used glitter cardstock to create the snowy hill at the bottom of the card, the base is also glitter.

The sentiment is one from Mama Elephant, which I have used for the stopper of the card. I layered the sentiment using Spellbinders Essential Stylish Ovals.

For the polar bears jumper, after die cutting the piece, I used an embossing folder to add texture, rubbing white ink over the raised areas.

The card folds flat and will fit in a 6 inch square envelope.

Here is a look at the inside of my card and the easel base,

The Merriest Christmas is a Spellbinders Betterpress plate which I stamped using black ink.

Hello Baby

Hi Crafty Friends,

Today I am sharing a baby card with you. A few weeks ago I shared a baby boy card, so this time around I made a baby girl card.

The base of my card uses Creative Craft Products Accordion Stepper Card die set. The die makes it so easy to create.

To decorate my card, I used products from Spellbinders Little Smiles Collection.

To create the background that is on each of the panels, I used the Falling Stars Betterpress Plate. I foiled this using white glimmer foil doing each of the panels separately. Once the foiling was completed, I used the coordinating 3D embossing folder Wishing Stars which embosses in the empty spaces.

The panel on the top left was decorated using the Bundle of Joy die set. The large star on the bottom panel is from the Swinging Among the Stars die set.

To finish the front of the card, I added some Betterpress sentiments which is also included in the collection.

For the back of the card, I added the two larger panels. The blank one is to write a personal message. The other I decorated the same as those on the front, I then added the baby girl sentiment using stamps & dies from Trinity Stamps.

Gardenia Faux Post

Hi Crafty Friends,

Welcome to my blog! Today I am sharing another postage themed card, I know I have had a lot of this theme here lately, but I am enjoying making them.

For this card I combined the Waffle Flower Crafts 5 x 7 Postage Collage Die Set with Lisa Horton Crafts Gardenia Stencil. There is a coordinating embossing folder for this stencil, but I couldn't use it for this particular card. The stencil is a fraction shorter than the postage collage area, so after I had finished stencilling in the gardenia, I had to make a couple of touchups to the top and bottom of the panel, so it didn't look like it finished mid way. Adding the sentiment at the top left of the card also helped with this.

Talking of sentiments, I used Spellbinders You Are Everything Sentiments Betterpress Plate for the birthday sentiment. I black foiled this and the sentiment is the negative piece using the left over black foil and the solid foil plate.

For the inside of the card, I used Spellbinders You Are Everything Sentiments & Let's Celebrate Sentiments  Betterpress plates. Again using the negative pieces from black foiling.

I quickly stencilled in the gardenia in the lower two sections of the postage collage die. After I had finished stencilling, I cut them apart to add to the lower right corner of my card.

Big Hello Square Post

Hi Crafty Friends,
Today I have another postage themed card to share. This one uses Spellbinders 3D Embossing Folder for April 25. I love the details in this folder.

I cut a square piece of black card which I embossed with the embossing folder. I then carefully applied gold metallic ink from Lisa Horton to the raised areas.

I die cut 2 pieces of white cardstock using an  square postage die from an old Elizabeth Craft Designs Lake Scene die set which I made into my card base.

I added a sentiment using the Glummer Plate of the Month for April 25, which is foiled using good glimmer foil.

I cut apart another embossed panel, so I could add the two “postage stamps”. I also added a sentiment from the Clear Stamp of the Month.

Floral Fan Cards

Hi Crafty Friends,

Today I am sharing two Fan Cards I created recently. These are both 5 x 7 cards, when you are making this style of card, there are times when you have a spare piece of cardstock as you are cutting things in half, so it is easy to make two cards while you are cutting pieces. I used two different patterned papers which I have been wanting to use to make a card for ages.

You can find the tutorial on the Iced Images YouTube channel here

For the sentiment on this card I used the birthday sentiment from Spellbinders  Let's Celebrate - Sentiments Press Plate. Instead of better pressing the plate I foiled it and this particular sentiment is the result from using the left over foil and the solid foil plate.

I added a wax seal which was created using Spellbinders Floral Jewel Wax Seal which was the January 2025 Wax Seal of the month. To get the fancy shape, I used a metal mould which I poured the wax into before impressing the wax seal into the melted wax.

The sentiment used on this card, is from Alex Siberia Designs and is a Hot Foil Plate and die.

I also added red pearls to the corners of both cards.

For the inside of the cards I added to foiled sentiments which are from the Spellbinders You are Everything Press Plate and Waffle Flower Crafts Hey There Foil Plate set.

Magnolia

Hi Crafty Friends,

Thanks for stopping by my blog. Today I am sharing a square card I created using Lisa Horton Crafts Corner Magnolia Embossing Folder & coordinating stencils.

I added the die cut sentiment & stamped sub sentiment using the Little Hello stamp/die set also from Lisa Horton Crafts.

To finish off the card I added some apricot gems.

For the inside of my card, I grabbed the stencil again and applied ink to part of the stencil using 5 of 6 stencils. I added the sentiment which is an older Honey Bee Stamps stamp set.

Hello Tulips

Hi Crafty Friends,

Well April is well and truly over, but today I am sharing two cards I created using the April Embossing Folder - Tulips from Lisa Horton Crafts A Year in Bloom Embossing Folder set. I did create these in April but I have had a fair bit to share here recently.

Both cards have been coloured using inks from Lisa Horton Crafts.

For my first card, I used white cardstock to emboss my design. I then used a fine blending brush Tropical Paradise Interference Ink for the flowers & Summer Garden Interference ink for the leaves. This has a beautiful shimmer effect to it.

Recently while looking at some cards I made previously, I remembered I had a few Spellbinders 5 x 7 frame die set., so I pulled out the Scallop Favade Frame die set to create my card base.

I added the sentiment using Lisa Horton Crafts A Little Hello Die/Stamp set.

For the inside of my card I added a sentiment using Spellbinders Clear Stamp of the Month April 2025 - Send & Seal. I also embossed a scrap of white card to add another tulip to the lower right hand corner.

My send card is the same as the previous card, other than I used teal Cardstock to emboss my design and then used Lisa Horton Crafts Silver metallic ink to add colour to the flowers,

I added the same sentiment as I did on my first card and added another tulip to the corner.

Hello A Note For You

Hi Crafty Friends,

Welcome to my blog. Today I am sharing another card I created using products from Spellbinders April 25  Club kits, I had such fun making all these cards which were mostly made over the Easter weekend.

I used the Stitching die of the month … Stitched Take Noes to make a shaped card. As you can see, I did add stitching on this card. It was very easy to do, even with my problem fingers.

The three die cut sentiments at the top left of the card also are included in the Stitching die set.

The large tulips come from the Small Die of the Month called Snail Mail Post. Finally I added two postage themed wax seals from the Wax Seal of the month called Petal Postage.

For the inside of my card I used the clear stamp of the month, Send & Seal. I also added another wax seals from the.

Mailing You A Big Hello

Hi Crafty Friends,

Today I am sharing another card using Spellbinders Glimmer of the Month - Scattered Letters, this time to make a Slimline Card.

First up I glimmered my panel using black glimmer foil. I glimmered once at the top and the again down the bottom. As I get the caboodle kit (all the kits) I get the bonus, which this time was a stencil to colour the envelopes.

I then cut my panel and added it to a 3 1/2 inch x 8 1/2 inch slimline card.  To finish off the front of the card I added the black glimmer foiled sentiment which is also included in the glimmer set.

For the inside of my card I added the negative foiled panel along the bottom of my card, adding a postage edge border along the top edge.

I added the big hello sentiment, which is an older Waffle Flower Crafts foil/die set. I then added the sub sentiments which is from Lisa Horton Designs A Little Hello Die/Stamp set.
