From All Of Us

Hi Crafty Friends,

It's been sometime since I have played with my Crafter's Companion Easel Card die sets, so I decided it was about time I pulled one of the sets out to create my card today.

For this card I used the Crafter's Companion Swirl Easel Card die set, I am not sure whether it is still available for purchase as it  is something I have had in my stash for a few years now.

Some time ago I purchased this adorable Polkadoodles image from LDRS Creative. As I love owls and my sister elephants, this one just had to come live at my place :).

I used an older birthday sentiment set from Stampendous for the birthday sentiment on the base, combining two of the sentiments from the set. I also added the "Wish Big" sentiment to the grass area of the main panel.

Today I am sharing a card I created recently using the Crafter's Companion Timepiece Easel die set.

I used Distress Oxide inks in Wilted Violet and Picked Raspberry to create the cloud background on the top option of the card. For the base I used Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn Distress Oxides.

To decorate my card I used The Caterpillar from Visible Image. I also added the sentiment that was included in the stamp set, which I placed on both the main panel and the base panel.

For the base I cute the easel a couple more times and then used the grass border from the Lawn Fawn Mushroom Border die set to create my layers. I also added some of the mushrooms and the mushroom border.

Butterfly Kisses & Birthday Wishes

It’s challenge time with the “Crazies” over on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog. Anja de Regt our challenge hostess for the month, continues to issue the challenges.

Our challenge this week is .....

Anja tells us that she loves summer! With summer time the bugs come too, the annoying ones and the beautiful ones. Anja loves dragonflies and butterflies. For our challenge this week we are to add a bug on our card/project.

I had a few options I was thinking about using for this challenge, but in the end I decided to use the Butterfly Easel die set I received from my daughter for my birthday in March which until now I hadn't used.

I added extra die cut flowers over the flowers in the decorative overlay and then added a pearl in the centre. For the butterflies I added rhinestones to the body.

The "Butterfly Kisses" sentiment is from the Elizabeth Craft Designs Spring Sentiments Clear Stamp set. The "Birthday Wishes" sentiment is a combination of two stamp sets.

Little Princess Heart Easel Card

My card today is for a challenge I do with a couple of friends of mine. Each month we challenge each other to create something using supplies we all own.

For our challenge this month's theme is Easel Cards.

For my card I decided to make a Heart Easel Card using Crafter Companion's Heart Easel Card die set.

To decorate my card I used stamps from Your Next Stamp's Little Darling Frog Princess Clear Stamp set. 

To help hold the easel up when it was open, I die cut the heart from the Heart Easel die set and attached it to the base of the card. I also added a sentiment strip over the top of the heart.

At the bottom of the heart base I added a floral flourish which was cut from the decorative die cut layer included in the Heart Easel die set.

I added Nuvo drops randomly around the card to finish it off.

It's challenge time with my friends over on the CCEE Stampers challenge blog. Lynn McAuley our challenge hostess for the month, finishes off the month with one last challenge.

Our challenge this week is ..... National Refreshment Day 

One way to beat the heat of summer is with a cold refreshment. Do you cool down with a glass of lemonade, a rainbow snow cone, an ice cream cone, a cold bottle of beer? Whatever it may be, share with the CCEE Stampers your favourite cool-down treat in your design this week.

For my card today I pulled out my new Summer Drink die set from Elizabeth Craft Designs.

As you can see I have created an Easel Card using Crafter's Companion Swirl Easel die set. 

I added a sentiment from the Beach Sentiments Clear stamp set to the top of my card which I die cut using a speech bubble die.

I added the "Cheers" sentiment to the base of the card which allows the main panel of the Easel card to stand up.

Watercolor Bouquet Easel Card

My card today is for a challenge I do with a couple of friends of mine. Each month we challenge each other to create something using supplies we all own.

For our challenge this month we are playing with stencils.

I have purchased a number of new stencils this year, so this challenge was a great opportunity to pull another one out and play. For my card today I used Altenew's Watercolor Bouquet Stencil. 

As you can see I have created another easel card this time using Crafter's Companion Swirl Easel die set. I stencilled the design onto pink pattern paper using pinks, purples and green Altenew inks. I die cut the panel using the layering die included in the Easel die set.

For the base of the card I used one of the swirl decorative dies included in the die set, to create the swirl layer on the front. 

I added a couple of sentiments to the card.

 I splattered some Champagne Gold Gansai Tambi Paint over the stencilled panel before adhering it to the easel card.

 I also added a few pink transparent crystals to the main panel of the card.

I Vike You Very Much

Today I am sharing a card I created recently using the Crafter's Companion Timepiece Easel die set.

For the background of my card I die cut two of the shield shaped layering pieces which comes in the die set. One one I used the Lawn Fawn Stitched Woodgrain Background to cover the whole panel and on the other I only covered about 1/3 of the bottom of the card base. I colored these areas using Distress Oxide inks in Squeezed Lemonade; Frayed Burlap; Vintage Photo.

On the upper part of the second panel I used a giraffe stencil from MFT Stamps and sponged over with Hickory Smoke Distress Oxide ink. I thought the stencil could look like a rock wall rather than using a brick wall.

To decorate my card I stamped images from MFT Stamps Viking stamp set and Clearly Besotted Hip Hop Hooray stamp set. Both are viking stamp sets, so the images work well together.

I used the Viking from the Clearly Besotted stamp set to create a framed photo on the castle wall ... maybe one of the Vikings ancestors.

To finish off the card I added two sentiments, one of the main part of the card and the other on the base which is used to keep the card open when needed.

I also added Nuvo Drops to the circles on the hats/belt etc .

Let Your Dreams Set Sail

It's challenge time with my friends over on the CCEE Stampers challenge blog. Anne Harmon our challenge hostess for the month continues to issue the challenges.

Anne tells us that she wakes up in the morning to the NEWS.  Make a card using each of these letters…..N, E, W, S.

When I was recently thinking about what to do for this challenge I was flipping through some products sitting on my desk and came across the Swirl Easel Card from Crafter's Companion. Once I saw this I knew that this die covered two of the letters I needed to do for this challenge ... E for Easel Card and S for Swirl. So this became the starting point of my card.

To Cover the challenge these are what I came up with for this challenge

N - Nuvo Drops (the color is Neptune, so another N); Nautical

E - Easel Card

W - White; Wheel (ships wheel on the patterned paper.

S - Swirls; Sentiment; Sail Boat; Sea Breeze

When I was looking through papers for another card I noticed this paper which I thought would make a great Easel Card and also worked with this challenge. 

I added the swirls from the die set to the bottom layer of my card and added a sentiment onto a white piece of cardstock.

Hip Hip Hooray Easel Card

Today I am sharing an Easel card that I created recently. For this card I used my new Swirl Easel Card die set from Crafter's Companion.

To decorate my card I used a stamp set from Uniquely Creative. I stamped the flower onto watercolor paper and then watercolored the flower using Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers.

The 'Happy Birthday' sentiment at the bottom of the card is from the Altenew Birthday Builder Clear Stamp set and the sentiment at the top of the card is one from Beccy's Place.

I added Nuvo Drops to the swirls on the top part of the Easel.
