Monkey For A Child!

PWC141-Monkey-wm

Hi everyone,

It’s time for another Pretties Wednesday Challenge over on the Paper Pretties Blog. This week we were challenged to create a card suitable for a child.

Well I adore this cute Smile Monkey stamp set which was recently released by Paper Pretties, and I am sure any child would love it to.

The base of this card is created using my cricut machine, and the postage stamp in the Create A Critter Cartridge. The layout is a recent sketch from SCS.

PWC141-Monkey2-wm

Here is the inside of my card. I took my photo before I attached it to the back of the front of my card to make it easier to take my photo. The length of this card is longer than normal so I couldn’t cut it out in one card and fold in half which is why I made it this way. The score line you see at the top of the inside is where I will be adding my tape to attach it to the front.

I combined sentiments from both the Smile Monkey stamp set and the Happy Days sentiment set.

Want to play along with us:

How to Enter: If you would like to play along with us, all you have to do is create a card/project using the above challenge and upload it to your blog and/or to your SCS Gallery using the keyword PWC141.

Don’t forget to include a link to your card on the Paper Pretties Blog, so everyone can see it too. You don’t have to use Paper Pretties stamps to play, but of course if you have them we would love to see you use them. One random participant will receive a Paper Pretties Stamps set … see the Paper Pretties Blog for more details.

Don’t you just love the circle shape of the main image!!!!! I got my inspiration for this card by the piano that WTG is playing. Piano’s have black and white keys so I decided to go with a black and white color scheme for my card. It has been a long time since I have used this color combo. I paper pieced the WTG’s clothing using grey tones of designer paper.

I used the Die-namics Open Scallop Border Die along the bottom strip of my card. The music note paper that is on the 4 squares behind the main image is one of MFT Stamps digital papers called Stephanie Fizer Papers - Take Note Collection.OpenScallopBorder

Tea & Love!

TCP-SquashCard-wm

Hi everyone,

A few week’s ago I made a Squash card for a challenge. It was a fun card to make and a few people liked it enough to also want to make one, so when I needed to come up with an idea for a card for a shoebox swap I went to on Thursday I decided to make another one of those cards. This is what I came up with.

Here is another photo of my card as it is starting to be opened up.

You’ll Be In My Heart!

C4C74-PIHeartBox-wm

Hi everyone,

It’s Saturday which means it is time for another challenge with the Crazies over on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog. This week our challenge hostess Angela Wood has challenged us to use hearts on our creations.

I decided to use MFT Stamps Pure Innocence - Love You With All My Heart stamp set for my heart creation today. The roses on the side of the heart are from the MFT Die-namics Mini Rolled Rose die.

MiniRolledRoses

C4C74-PIHeartBox2-wm

I have seen these heart boxes made using the heart nestabilities around the place and wanted to give it a try, so this was the perfect challenge to make one. These are so easy to create. I die cut the largest scallop heart twice for the base and the lid, and also the largest heart to layer on the lid.  To create the boxes that are in between the heart layers I used a 4 inch square card and a 4 1/8 inch square card and scored around the sides of each at 1 inch.  All that is left then is the decorating!

Don't forget to check out the rest of the “Crazies” cards over on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog and also their individual blogs for more details.

Paper: White; Red; DP – Basic Grey

Cupcake!

Cupcake2-wm

Hi everyone,

Look no stamping LOL! but this does using stamping supplies.

Before Christmas a friend of mine made a couple of these cupcakes to give as gifts at our Christmas party for a stamp group we both belong to. Everyone loved the cupcakes and we promptly nominated her to do the first project when we got back together in January. Here is the cupcake I made.

I had to fold the cupcake wrapper by hand, but I am pretty sure that the MFT Die-namics Rosette Die would work perfectly for this. But you would need to join about 4 lengths, if I ever get around to make another one I will have to try it.

The great thing about this cupcake is that it has no calories LOL!

Flower Silhouette!

CCEE1106SilhouetteFlower-wm

Hi everyone,

It’s challenge time again with my friends over on the CCEE Stampers challenge blog. Our challenge hostess for the month, Tosh is continuing to challenge us to use our tools. This week the challenge is to use our embossing folders.

I must admit I have quite a collection of embossing folders, so this is a great challenge. There are some tools that we have now that I wonder how we managed without them years ago before they were introduced, I certainly wouldn’t want to go back to those days LOL!

For my card I used my Cuttlebug Retro Kitchen Embossing Folder to emboss the pink designer paper on the base of my card. It is the same designer paper that I used on the panel my flowers are on but one I embossed and the other I left plain.

The flowers used on this card are MFT Stamps Die-namics Flower Silhouette Die & Stamp Set. This is one of MFT Stamps combo stamp sets and die-namics die. The die is the flower shape you see in the photo below. The set comprises of 3 flower stamps, the outline one seen on the front of my card, a solid flower and the patterned flower which I have used on the inside of my card. I love that I can die cut the flowers and then stamp the flower over the top rather than having to cut out the whole thing, so much easier!

Flower Silhoutte Die-namicsSMALL

CCEE1106SilhouetteFlower2-w

Here is the inside of my card. As I said above I used the patterned flower which is also included in the set as well as one of the sentiments.

Don’t forget to check out the CCEE Stampers blog (goes live 12 AM EST) to see the rest of the creations the CCEE Stampers created this week. You can also see more details of their creations on their individual blogs:
