  • Too Cute To Spook!

    MFT-PE-Too-cute-wm

    Hi everyone,

I have one more card to share with you today … this time for this week’s Pink Elephant challenge. This week the challenge is a recipe challenge which I am starting to actually like hehe. The recipe this week was to use 1 ribbon, 2 squares and something that sparkles.

I decided to create a Halloween card using the new “Too Cute To Spook” set which is going to be released by MFT Stamps this coming Wednesday 2nd September … this set is super adorable!

First up I stamped the witch and the cat and then I masked these and stamped in the tree and fence. Then finally the moon/clouds and the bats. the moon was also masked so I could color this separately. Once everything was masked I used my copic airbrush system to add the various different colors to my scene starting with the ground and ending with my orange sky. I then removed my moon mask and added yellows to that.

Onto my recipe I had to use for the challenge … well the piece I stamped my scene on is my first square and then my card is also square that equals 2 squares! My ribbon is easy to see on the left side of my card. And finally I added rhinestones to my sentiment … my sparkles!

Head over to the Pink Elephant Challenge blog if you want to play along. You can also see what the other design team members created this week.

    Recipe:

Stamps: Too Cute To Spook – MFT Stamps

Paper: White; Black; Tangerine Tango – SU; DP – MFT Stamps

Other: Black Ink; Black Grosgrain Ribbon; MS Zigzag Border Punch; Label Tag Die; Rhinestones; Foam Tape; Copic Airbrush System; Copics

    Little Bug!

    CCEE-Little-bug-wm

Hi everyone and happy Monday to you all!

My card today is for this week’s challenge I do every week with my CCEE Stamper friends. This week our August hostess Cindy Motherway challenge was a supply challenge. Cindy sent each of us the following supplies:

    • 3 different patterned designer papers
    • 1 large chipboard flower
    • 2 small chipboard flowers
    • 1 red flower brad
    • 3 yellow brads
    • 1 length little bug ribbon

I used a recent sketch from SCS (SC242) to create my card. I adhere the designer paper to the flowers and then added the brads in the centre. I used all of the supplies except for the one brad which you can see in the photo hehe …. I think I did pretty good using most of them LOL!

The image is from Alota Rubber Stamps and is called “Bugs Hugging”.

Don’t forget to check out the CCEE Stampers blog (goes live 12 AM EST) to see the rest of the CCEE Stampers creations this week. You will also find details on how you can play in this challenge.

    Recipe:

    Sow Seeds Of Love!

    mft-framed-love-wm

Good morning everyone, I hope you all enjoyed your weekend.

I have two more MFTeaser’s to start the week off. This time round I am using the new Annie LaPoint set called “Sow Seeds of Love”. This set along with 4 more sets will be released by MFT Stamps this Wednesday 2nd September.

For my first card I used my new Spellbinders Classic Frame Die to create the frame around the flower image. After cutting and embossing the frame, I left the frame in the die while I sponged some elegant eggplant ink over the embossed areas. I also added some hotfix glitter pearls to my frame.

mft-sow-seeds-of-love-wm My second card today uses Taylor’s Expressions Cupcake Challenge (TECC79) for the layout of my card.

I will have another MFTeaser for you later on today when I post my Pink Elephant challenge … so don’t forget to come back to check it out!

    Recipe:

  • Creepy Crawlies!

    mft-spider-jar-wm

    Hi everyone,

I have another fun Halloween project for you today using the new Ghoulish Label set which will be released by MFT Stamps this Wednesday 2nd September.

This time round I have filled a jar with ghoulish treats (well ok it is only liquorice hehe) and then decorated the jar for a fun Halloween gift.

mft-spider-jar-2-wm The spider label is just one of the two fun labels which are included in this set along with the spider and sentiments. The “Spookacular” part of the sentiment is actually from the Too Cute To Spook set which will also be released … these two fun sets work very well together.

You might also notice that I attached some plastic spiders I have had lying around for years around the rim of the lid just to give it some extra spookiness hehe!

    mft-spider-jar-3-wm

For the lid of the jar I used the “bling bet” set to spell out the word HALLOWEEN! the spiders on the designer paper underneath the wording are from the set too.

    Recipe:

Stamps: Ghoulish Labels; Too Cute To Spook & Bling Bet – MFT Stamps

Paper: White; Black; DP – Unknown

Other: Black Ink; Circle Nestabilities; Long Rectangle Nestabilities; Plastic Spiders; Black Grosgrain Ribbon; Circle Punches; Foam Tape

    Spooktacular Treats!

mft-spook-treat-box3-wm Hi everyone and welcome to my blog! It is time to start the MFTeaser’s in  readiness for the release of 5 new stamps sets which will be released by MFT Stamps on Wednesday 2nd September.

My friend Cindy and I are this month's One Click Collection Challenge hostesses over in the My Favorite Things member forum on SCS. This month the challenge is all about boxes. With the holiday season fast approaching (yes I know!), we are all thinking of fun ways to present that perfect gift. Create a box and decorate to suit whichever occasion you wish, be it Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Birthday .... the list goes on!

Be sure to check out the September One Click challenge thread as one lucky person will be winning the entire new release!

    mft-spook-treat-box2-wm

I used a combination of both the “Too Cute To Spook” & “Ghoulish Label” sets to decorate my box to create a fun Halloween box to fill with goodies! I also added the “treats” part on the top of the box from last months Trick or Treat with Who’s That Girl set.

    mft-spook-treat-box-wm

Here is another view of my Spooktacular treat box ….. as you can see I decorated all 4 sides the front and back are the same and so are both sides.

And finally my box open to reveal the goodies inside … what else but black cats of course hehe!

    Hi everyone,

My card today is one I made to give to my son in law who celebrated his 40th birthday last weekend. This is another trifold shutter card which are sooo much fun to create.

I guess this also fits for this week’s Hanna Stamps challenge over on the Hanna Stampers Member Forum of SCS which was to create a birthday card. I posted the real card I made especially for this challenge yesterday but as this one uses Riley which is available from Hanna Stamps … this one works too hehe!

    Robs-bday1-wm

Here is what the card looks like when it is closed, I think last time I posted one of these types of cards a few people wanted to know what it looked like closed.

    Hi everyone,

It’s time for another Hanna Stamps challenge over on the Hanna Stamps member forum of SCS. This week it is Jeanne Streiff’s turn to host the challenge and she decided on a birthday theme to coincide with her Mothers birthday.

I used one of the new rubber Hanna’s which a slightly smaller then the ones that come in the set … and are available individually without the accessories that are include in the set.

I also used the Mojo100 sketch challenge from a couple of week’s ago.

    Recipe:

Paper: White; Melon Mambo, Perfect Plum, Pale Plum – SU; DP – Unknown

Other: Black Ink; Swiss Dots Cuttlebug Embossing Folder; Oval Punches; Eyelet Border Punch; Foam Tape; Copics

    Flopsey Ornament

    mft-flopsey-ornament-wm

    Hi everyone,

My project today is for this week’s my favorite challenge (MFC14) over on the My Favorite Things Member Forum of SCS. This week the challenge was to make an ornament.

I was inspired by a card I made recently using this particular pendant die to create an ornament using them. I cut the die twice from red card and then sponged around the edges using white ink.

The image I used here is the cute little Snow Bunny Flopsey which is available from MFT Stamps.

Stamps: Snow Bunny Flopsey – MFT Stamps

Paper: White; Gold; Real Red – SU

    Life Is A Masterpiece!

    elzy-art-dp1-wm

    Hi everyone!

It is Elzybells challenge time over on the Elzybells Art Stamps blog. This week the challenge was to use stamps to create your own designer paper.

I used the new “Artist” clear set that will be released today by Elzybells Art Stamps. First I grabbed some of my colorbox chalk ink pads which I have neglected for quite some time to create the base of my background and then i used one of the sentiments from the set to finish it off, stamping it diagonally.

    elzy-art-dp3-wm

I also decorated the inside of my card using stamps included in this set.

    elzy-art-dp2-wm

And now to the back of my card, this time round I used one of Elzybells new single stamps which is called “Handmade Girl” … isn’t she a cutie!

    Grow Love!

    mftsc96-grow-love-wm

    Hi everyone

It is time for another MFT Stamps sketch challenge over on the MFT Stamps member forum of SCS. This week it is my turn to supply the sketch. Btw did you know that the sketch challenge now has a new home in the MFT Stamps Member forum if you are looking for it … from now on it will be included in the “My Favorite Challenge” thread in post #3 each week.

My card today uses the new Stephanie Fizer stamp set called “Grow Love Plant A Tree” which was released earlier in the month. This image contains 4 different stamps from the set to create, the tree trunk,  the leaves, the swing & the heart on the tree. So you can have so many different looks from the one set.

    MFTSC96-Sketch

Here is the sketch. Cindy and I would love you to play along. Don't forget to upload your card to the MFTSC96 gallery on SCS to be in the running to win a $5 gift certificate.

Did you know that we are approaching our #100 sketch in September??? Cindy & I have a number fun things planned to celebrate this event. How many MFT Stamps sketches have you done???? I know there are a few MFT Stamps fan who are trying to see if they can get them all done by the time we reach #100 …. there are only a few at the very beginning I missed and of course I am also playing catch up … you will see a few more of the old sketches in coming weeks from me. You can see more about this in the 100 Sketches thread here. It was fun to go back through the past sketches and see how much our stamping has changed in that time.

    Look Out World!

    PP-scrapling-wm

    Hi everyone,

It’s time for another Paper Pretties challenge, two weeks ago it was my turn to issue the challenge to the rest of the Prettie Girls. Of course most people know I love scraplings so of course I had to issue a scrapling challenge this time round hehe.

Scraplings are normally 1.25" x 4.25" because they are often made from the off cuts you get when you make a square card (4.25" square) from a piece of card that is 4.25" x 5.5". However if you are like me your scraplings may be a little wider depending on what you are working on at the time. Now for me 1.25" is way too narrow and I normally have wider card then that left over so you can makes yours wider .... BUT for this challenge they cannot be any wider then 2.5 inches that is for the base of the scrapling ... you can have wider pieces hanging off like I did with my scrapling above, that is up to you .... as long as they are no wider then 2.5 inches.

This week with everyone talking about going back to school up in the top end of the world I decided to go with a back to school theme and used the Paper Pretties “Look Out World” stamp set to create my scrapling.

Don't forget to check out the other Design Teams blogs to see their creations this week. This is also the order of the blog hop if you have problems accessing one of the other Pretties Girls blogs)

    Recipe:

    Reeta!

    sc243-Reeta-wm

    Hi again everyone,

It’s Wednesday which means I was stalking SCS a little earlier this afternoon for this week’s sketch challenge. As usual Roxie didn’t disappoint hehe! This is a fun layout.

I  borrowed Roxie’s idea of having the white layer under her punched border and then the black it looked fantastic on her card so wanted to use it on mine too. I used Reeta which is another The Greeting Farm image.

    Recipe:

Stamps: Reeta – The Greeting Farm

Paper: White; Black; Riding Hood Red & Bella Rose – SU

Other: Black Ink; MS Embossed Scallop Border Punch; Rectangle Nestabilities; Black Grosgrain Ribbon; Button; Thread; Foam Tape; Copics

Every Crafting Genius Has Their Quirks!

    elzy-scrapper1-wm

    Hi everyone,

I am back again with our Day 3 sneak peeks of the new stamps to be released by Elzybells Art Stamps this coming Thursday 27th August.

My card today uses another of the images and sentiments from the Stamp & Scrap Set …. this time the image looks like a scrapbooker. I used Taylors Expressions Cupcake Challenge #78 to create my card.

elzy-scrapper2-wm Here is the inside of my card … using another sentiment from the Stamp & Scrap set … I just love these sentiments!

    elzy-scrapper3-wm

And finally the back of the card … hmmmm looking at the sentiment I chose it goes well with the sentiment on the front of my card hehe … Now I have to admit this is a fluke cause I didn’t realise until I started writing about the back of the card that both sentiments contain the word Genius hehe. This is yet another of the many sentiments you can find in the Queen of Stamping set.

Don't forget to check out the rest of the Elzybells Design Team's blogs to see some more sneak peeks ... you can find the links to their blogs on my side bar. I will be back tomorrow with another Elzybells card for you.

Art Washes Away From The Soul!

    elzy-circle1-wm

    Hi everyone,

It is day 2 for the sneak peeks of the new stamps to be released by Elzybells Art Stamps this coming Thursday 27th August.

My card today uses 2 of the new sets to be released. It has been a while since I created a circle card so I thought it would be fun to make one using this art image from the set “Artist”. This set contains 2 images & 3 sentiments.

     elzy-circle3-wm

I used one of the sentiments from the same set for the inside of my card. All the circles were cut out using my circles nestabilities die.

    elzy-circle2wm

And of course the back of my card again from the “Queen of Stamping” set … loving this set. This particular sentiment I used on this card has space in the middle for you to either sign or stamp your name. I am sure you can relate to this one … we often spend a lot of time creating our cards that we would hate the thought of someone throwing them out.

Don't forget to check out the rest of the Elzybells Design Team's blogs to see some more sneak peeks ... you can find the links to their blogs on my side bar. I will be back tomorrow with another Elzybells card for you.

      elzy-stamper-1-wm

    Hi Everyone,

Elzybells Art Stamps have a new release this coming Thursday 27th August, so for the next few days I will be sharing with you some cards I have made using some of the stamps that will be available.

The card I am sharing with you today uses stamps from 3 different stamps sets that will be released. On the front of the card I used one of the images & sentiment from the set called “stamp & scrap”. This is a clear set and contains 3 images & 6 sentiments all related to either stamping or scrapping … what fun!

I used the weekend sketch challenge #93 to create my card.

    elzy-stamper-2-wm

On the inside of my card I used one of the sentiments from another new set, this time “Stamp & Scrap Sentiments”. This is a collection of 12 different sentiments again relating to stamping or scrapbooking.
