Hi everyone,

It’s challenge time with the “Crazies” over on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog. Being a brand new month it is time to introduce our challenge hostess for July which is Karen Aicken.

For our challenge this week, Karen has given us a Color challenge .... MONOCHROMATIC    Use two or more shades of the same colour. Neutrals such as kraft, grey, black or white can be added in small amounts.

For my card today I created a card suitable for either Father's Day or it could also be a birthday card for a Dad. Father's Day isn't until September down here, so I have plenty of time to make more Father's Day cards and I normally need a few.

To create my card I have used the Rectangle Accordion Card designed by Karen Burniston for Elizabeth Craft Designs. I changed the format of this Accordion Card from a Portrait style to Landscape. You can see a video by Karen Burniston on how to do this technique here

I recently purchased some Australiana style dies which included this die of the Rusty Old Ute which I used on my card today. To the centre panel I added the "Dad" sentiment die which I layered about 4 times to give some depth. I also added some star brads to the top and bottom of the sentiment.

Here is a close up of the second and third pages of my card.

Here is my card closed ready to be placed in an envelope.
