Hi everyone,
It’s challenge time with my friends over on the CCEE Stampers challenge blog. Sabina Friel our challenge hostess for January continues to deliver us some fun challenges.
This week Sabrina has challenged us to create a card using the Bordered Sentiment technique.
You can find a tutorial on this technique over on Splitcoast Stampers Tutorial Section.
I have been wanting to play with this technique for a while, but hadn’t gotten around to it until now. That is the fun thing about challenges, it makes you do stuff hehe! Most of the cards I have seen using this technique feature flowers, but I decided to go with a birthday theme so used these balloons from MFT Stamps.
Here is the inside of my card, using more stamps and dies from MFT Stamps.
Don’t forget to check out the CCEE Stampers blog (goes live 12 AM EST) to see the rest of the creations the CCEE Stampers created this week. You can also see more details of their creations on their individual blogs:
Stamps: Party Balloons; LJD Birthday Greetings – MFT Stamps; Childhood Memories Sent with Love – Stamps U Love |
Paper; White; Red |
Other: Black Ink; Red Ink; Orange Ink; Yellow Ink; Pink Ink; MFT Die-namics Party Balloons |

What a great card - something like this would work great for the cards I make for Seniors Secret Service. Love it!

What a fun birthday card...love it!
Grins - yep, I love it when a challenge kicks me into actually trying out something that's on my list instead of just thinking about it. And gosh, it works wonderfully with the balloons because it really gives them a sense of movement and floating up the page. And as always, your inside is just as much a treat.
I love the happy colors, inside and out, with the balloons, Frances!! Great use of this fun technique!
This technique turned out great with the balloons. Such a fun birthday card!
fabulously festive and fun...love the bright colors and celebratory design
