I love making Slimline cards and finding ways to use Karen Burniston's Pop-up die sets in them. So for my first card today I created a Landscape Slimline card with a 3/4 length front. This card measures 3 7/8 inches x 8 1/2 inches when closed.

This style of card works well  for the Paper Frames Pop-up die set which is what I used for my card today. I had to go with the wider sized slimline, so that the pop-up element would fit into my card.

I love owls, so when I saw this fun stamp set from Sassy and Crafty ... You're a Hoot stamp set, I knew I needed to use it for my card. I stamped each of the owls and the clothing twice and the branch four times and cut them out so I could decorate my card inside and out.

All the sentiments on this card are also included in the Sassy and Crafty stamp set.

I added the rectangle and Frame from the Slim Flaps and Frames die set to use to add a space to write a personal message.

The front of my card measures 3 7/8 inches x 5 1/2 inches, so that the right side of the inside of the card can be seen when the card is closed.

I used the Crosshatch Ovals die set to add to the front panel, adding the sentiment in the centre. I decorated the oval using two of the owls, branches and flowers.

I used a speech bubble from the Spinner Square Pop-up to add the "whoo whoo" sentiment which part of the sentiment "Guess Whoo" from the owl stamp set.

For my second card today I have a  Rockin' Rectangle Pop-up card using the acetate window on the front. You can find Karen's tutorial on how to create this style of card here. 

When I was looking at Sassy and Crafty's stamps to select which ones to ask for for the hop, I came across this fun Plushies - Friendly Pugs Stamp set. As I have a grand puppy that is a pug, I just had to ask for this set. 

I used Karen Burniston's Alphabet die set to add the "PUG HUGS" sentiment to the narrow strip at the left side of the card. I also added two scallop borders using the Border Blends Argyle die set.

I used the "flying by" sentiment on the inside of the Rockin' Rectangle arm which is  from Sassy and Crafty's You're A Hoot Stamp set ... as the pugs are in a plane it was perfect to use with the image I used on this card. I used oval dies from the Oval Frames Pop-up die set.

The blue background with the white strips was created using Sassy and Crafty's Party Time Stencil. I used Versamark ink to add ink through the stencil onto white cardstock, which I then covered with white embossing powder and heat set. I then used Distress Oxide inks in Tumbled Glass; Broken China and Faded Jeans to add a ombre effect with blue inks.

I also used the speech bubble again for this card, this time stamping the "Celebrate" from the pug stamp set. The speech bubble is from the Spinner Square Pop-up die set.
