Big Birthday Wishes

Hi Crafty Friends,

It's challenge time with my friends over on the CCEE Stampers challenge blog.  Lynn McAuley our challenge hostess for the month continues to issue the challenges.

Here it is the day after Liz’s BIG birthday, the Big 7-0, so in honor of National Senior Citizens Day on Aug. 21st, let’s use some adorable old women still having fun and enjoying life on your cards today.

When I was looking through my Art Impressions stamps which has the majority of the "older women" stamps that I own, I came across my Shake Your Booty stamp sets which I haven't used for a few years. I thought it would be fun to use a couple of those stamps for my card today.

As you can see I created a Slimline card for my card today using two of the new Slimline dies from Newton's Nook Designs. I attached the images to my card using action wobbles.

As the Shake your Booty Stamps comes with a front and back view, I couldn't let those go to waste, so I added the frame to the upper inside panel and then attached the back view to the card with action wobbles also.

The centre panel has a couple of sentiments from older Art Impressions Stamp sets.

I added two birthday sentiments to the other inside panel which are both from a The Stamps of Life Stamp set Greetings4Birthdays.

Don't forget to check out the CCEE Stampers blog (goes live 12 AM EST) to see the rest of the creations the CCEE Stampers created this week. You can also see more details of their creations on their individual blogs:

You Have Made My Nice List

Hi Crafty Friends,

Today I am sharing another fun Christmas Card.

This card uses Mama Elephant's Favor Bag Accessory - Santa Elf die set, this die set has been around for at least a year, but I only purchased late this year. I used the die set to create Santa's face and then used circles from Hero Arts Infinity Circles die set for the body and arms.

I added the belt, buttons and buckle which is from Waffle Flower Craft Santa Tags die set.

For the background of my card, I used Taylored Expressions, Modern Holly Stencil using Distress Oxide inks in Peeled Paint and Forest Moss for the leaves and Red Velvet Glitter Glitz for the berries.

I added a sentiment which is from Heffy Doodle Stamps Elfing Christmas Words stamp set.

For the inside of the card, I added a left over strip of stencilled cardstock to the right hand side of the card.

I added the sentiment which is also from the Heffy Doodle Stamps Elfing Christmas Words.

Panda with Ice Cream

Hi Crafty Friends,

Today I am sharing a black & white card with a touch of extra color.

This card uses the Simon Says Stamp Big Picture Book Panda and Big Picture Book Hugs die sets

I die cut the largest frame from the Hero Arts  Infinity Wood Frame die set which I die cut using dark grey cardstock.

I added the ice cream from Elizabeth Craft Designs Ice Cream  Cone die set.

The panda's head is attached to the card using an action wobble.

On the inside of the card I added the next size down Wood Frame die cut. I added two sentiments, the Happy Birthday from the Altenew Birthday Builder Clear Stamp set and the Art Impressions Pand-tastic Clear Stamp set.

You Are Koalafied For A G'day

Hi Crafty Friends,

Yesterday was Australia Day down here in Australia. I had something else I had to post on my blog yesterday, but seeing I had the cute Koala from Simon Says Stamp I thought I would create a card using it for today.

With a little bit of imagine, the Leafy Frame also from Simon Says Stamp could be gum leaves so I decided to combine the frame, the koala and the Hugs body to create my card today.

The background was created using Distress Inks in blues and then spritz using Perfect Pearls in water. I then added the body so it would be underneath the frame. I die cut an additional piece of frame using scrap paper so I could cut some extra leaves and place them in the koala's paws.

For the koala's head I adhered it to the card using an action wobble, so the head will move when you touch it.

For the inside of the card, I die cut an additional frame . I added one of the sentiments and a small koala image from Gerda Steiner's You're Koalafied Stamp set. I also added the G'day which is from Ultimate Crafts.

Bear with Present

Hi Crafty Friends,

Apparently the 7th January each year is Bobblehead Day to celebrate those fun bobblehead dolls. So for my card today I wanted to create a card where the head of the image moves using action wobbles ... if it is one thing I have plenty of, it is action wobbles.

I recently purchased these cute Picture Book dies from Simon Says Stamp ... the bear head and the body, so I wanted to play with that for my card.

I wanted to make this a birthday card, so went through my stash of dies to find something that the bear could hold. I found this present from Tonic Studios which I think is retired now.

I also used one of the stitched rectangle dies from the Heffy Doodles Imperial Stitched Rectangles die set.

Here is a quick video to see my card in action.

For the inside of my card I stamped a sentiment using the Ranger Letter It Birthday Clear Stamp set. I also added a present to the bottom of the card which is the same present as on the front, but cut in half where the ribbon goes through so the present fitted on the card.

Hoppy Easter

Hi everyone,

Earlier in the week I shared an Easter Card I created for my Grandson using the Art Impressions Honey Buns stamp set that uses an action wobble on the bunnies tail to make the tail wobble. Today I have a girl version to give to my Granddaughter.

As you can see I still have some backgrounds left over from the play day I had a week or two ago when I first received my Distress Oxide ink pads. For this one I applied the ink pad my craft mat and then used a brush to apply the ink directly to the cardstock, love how this one turned out. I did spritz the card after the ink had been applied.

I added the bunny onto a stitched circle from Elizabeth Craft Designs which is partially off two edges of the card.

For the inside of the card I added an Easter Egg and grass using the Easter Egg die set from Elizabeth Craft Designs. The background on the egg is also been done using distress oxide ink pads.

Stamps: Honey Buns Set - Art Impressions; One Big Hoppy Family - Sugar Pea Designs; Easter "Egg"specially Good! - Rubbernecker Stamps
Paper: White; Green; Pink
Dies: Stitched Circles; Fitted Fishtails; Easter Eggs - Elizabeth Craft Designs
Other: Black Ink; Peeled Paint Distress Oxide; Fossilized Amber Distress Oxide; Worn Lipstick Distress Oxide; Action Wobble; Clear Double Sided Adhesive Tape - ECD; Foam Tape; Copics

Hoppy Easter

Hi everyone,

Easter is only about a month away now, so I thought I should start making a couple of cards to give to my Grandchildren when I give them their Easter gift. Last year I purchased this cute Honey Buns stamp set from Art Impressions that uses an action wobble to make the bunnies tail wobble when you touch it. I figured the kids would enjoy playing with the tail and making it wobble so that is what I used for both cards.

Today I am sharing the card I created for my Grandson. The background piece was created using Distress Oxide ink pads in Faded Jeans, Broken China & Peeled Paint. I went direct to paper with the ink pads and then used a paint brush across the card.

I used the Diamond Background die from Elizabeth Craft Designs over the top of the Distress Oxide panel.

I added a sentiment to the top of the card which is layered using the ModaScrap Stitched Fishtail Banners.

For the inside of the card I added an Easter sentiment and border both of which I have had in my stash for years.

Stamps: Honey Buns Set - Art Impressions; One Big Hoppy Family - Sugar Pea Designs; Easter Egg Garden - Hero Arts; Easter "Egg"specially Good! - Rubbernecker Stamps
Paper: White; Green; Blue
Dies: Diamond Background; ModaScrap Stitched Fishtail Banners - Elizabeth Craft Designs
Other: Black Ink; Faded Jeans Distress Oxide; Broken China Distress Oxide; Peeled Paint Distress Oxide; Action Wobble; Foam Tape; Copics

Jingle all the Way

Hi everyone,

It's challenge time with my friends over on the CCEE Stampers challenge blog.  Being a brand new month it is time to introduce our new challenge hostess which is me!!!

The 2nd of November was Wobbly Wednesday, this day is to bring awareness to a condition called Nystagmus, a non-stop and uncontrolled movement of the eyes, symptomatic of problems with the visual system of the brain and body.

For our challenge this week, let's add something wobbly on our card ... it could be those fun wobbly eyes; action wobbles or some other form of movement on your card.

For my card this week I have been able to add to things that wobble on my card. Firstly I created a Circle Stepper card which could also be called a Wobble card as it rocks or wobbles from side to side.  I also added an action wobble to the snowman so that his backside wobbles as well. You can see my card in it's wobbly action on the video above.

Here is another view of my card taken at a different angle.

For the inside of the card I added a sentiment which is an older one I have had in my stash.

Don't forget to check out the CCEE Stampers blog (goes live 12 AM EST) to see the rest of the creations the CCEE Stampers created this week. You can also see more details of their creations on their individual blogs:

Hugs for my Tweetheart

Hi everyone,

About a week ago I had to do a demo at my local store focusing on Valentine's Day, the Heart Pivot Card die and the Art Impressions "Hugs" stamp sets. This is one of the samples I created to share with the customers.

The base of the card uses the Heart Pivot Card die set designed by Karen Burniston for Elizabeth Craft Designs.

I used the Art Impressions Tweetheart stamp set to decorate the front of my card. The head of the bird is on an action wobble so when you tap the head it wobbles ... love those action wobbles.

Not content to just have the action wobble on the front of the card, I decided to add another two on the inside ... this time I used the Has Hugz stamp set (cat) and the Tweetheart stamp set (bird). I thought it would be fun to have the cat loving the bird hehe!

Here is a quick video to see the card in action.

Here is a close up of the cat on the left hand side of the card.

And a close up of the bird on the right hand side of the card.

And finally the back of the card!

I made a few more Heart Pivot cards for the demo, which I will share throughout the month.

Pawesome

Hi everyone,

It’s challenge time with the “Crazies” over on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog. Our challenge hostess for July, Karen Aicken continues to bring us the challenges.

For our challenge this week, Karen has given us the theme .... CRITTERS - Put one or more critters on your card or project.

I recently purchased this Puppies Stamp/Die set from Stampendous and decided to use that for my card this week. This dog looks so like my little dog, Buttons, although as he is now over 18 years old he does look slightly older and he sleeps most of the time.

Of course I love pop up cards so I decided to use the Lots of Pops Pop Up Card die set designed by Karen Burniston for Elizabeth Craft Designs for the base of my card.

The dogs head and body come in separate pieces so I attached them using an action wobble so when the card has any movement the dog's head wobbles.

Here is a quick video showing how the dog's head wobbles on my card.

Along the top and bottom of my card, I added another layer of designer paper which is edged using the rolling hills border from the Outdoor Edges die set. The sentiment is layered using the label from the Lorna Labels Pop Up Card die set.

Here is another view of my card so you can see the pop up portion of my card a little easier.

And finally the front of the card. This time round I used the dog's head and paws so it looks like it is peeking out from behind something. I have used another action wobble to the head, so this one will also wobble. I also used the speech bubble from the Rectangle Accordion Card die set for the sentiment.
